I've been ordering from Frutta Bowls for years and today i was very disappointed. I'd recently noticed a change in the sizing of the bowls, smaller than they used to be, but today i ordered the avocado toast, an item I get regularly, and i was so disappointed. Currently, the cost of the toast on the website is $7.29 ($8.89 on door dash) not to mention $10-$12 for a SMALL frutta bowl, and the toast I received today was pathetic. It was a small, paper thin piece of white bread with toppings, as opposed to the hefty, thick rustic italian bread that is typically used. The tiny thing collapsed as soon as it was picked up, and on top of that it was burnt. It's so sad to see a company cut corners while raising costs. Probably won't bother with them again. read more

Counter walk up service or place an online order and walk in to pick up. The have some cute tables and sitting areas plus outdoor cafe tables when the weather is right. My friend had a toast which I had never paid attention to on the menu. It looked amazing, and she said it was delicious. I had my regular build your own bowl. I love having choices and being able to customize for what I'm wanting to eat that day. Their signature granola is a must for me. And no matter what fruit I pick it's always fresh. You choose a base, like açaí or dragon fruit (frozen) granola, three fruits and 2 proteins (nuts, butters, cocoa nibs - you get the idea) in the basic bowl. You can add on for an additional cost but I've always found the amount of food in the basic is always more than enough. If you're looking for a healthy, light meal I do recommend trying Frutta, online ordering is the way to go if you're close to a mealtime. It gets pretty busy and the in person wait, because it's freshly made to order, can be a little long. But lots of people were coming in and leaving with their online order while we sat and enjoyed our meal. If you're in a hurry I'd say that's the way to go! read more

I've never been there before and at first the environment seemed OK, but as more people came in there I felt like it became a little too crowded and I felt overstimulated. Frutta Bowl has a young, suburban vibe, and it was fairly busy when we arrived late morning on a Saturday. It looks like the cost of a bowl averages around $10, and we came armed with a Groupon to help offset some of the cost. While I do find their offerings to be pricey, if you set the cost factor aside, I was really pleased with the taste and quality of the food we got. We actually ended up taking advantage of the Pick 2 Combo for $11 for each of our meals. This is one of my favorite spots, and I am noticing some decline in my experience. There was hair in my bowl and when I sent my daughter to get a replacement, she said the girl was kinda rude about it. I go back a week later and the prep area was not clean-granola everywhere, fruit on the sides of the containers, the lobby table needed to be wiped down. The bowls and smoothies are good, but the service is consistently not great. I always order on the app ahead of time, and I usually come in and stand at the pickup counter and wait a good 5-10 mins before anyone acknowledges I'm there. They don't ever look like they are working quickly despite a long line. And many times I get a smoothie only to find out they didn't read my special order to add a fruit, etc. or they didn't blend it and I have giant chunks of fruit that I can't drink. Coffee had been my only breakfast before a meeting, so this was the perfect spot for some late morning food! The inside has the best decor and atmosphere. I would just love to decorate my house like this. There is high top table seating or a nice couch area. I ordered the Pink Flamingo Smoothie which really was the perfect blend... it wasn't too sweet or tart, just right. I also had the Bravocado toast which includes avocado, egg, and pesto. The staff was nice and although it is a little pricey, you are getting healthy, fresh ingredients. They also offer smoothie bowls, coffee, and more. This is our 4th time coming into the Mason Frutta Bowl. At this point I feel we are able to give our honest feed back of this establishment. I'd say 2 of those experiences have been pleasant, the other 2 not so good and it really seemed to come down to customer service. I wish I knew this employees name for she is single handedly responsible for us maybe to never return... We arrived at 630pm on a night the location closed at 7pm. A young lady was sweeping the front. We did not receive a greeting or even acknowledged for about 7min even after we clearly passed her field of view. At this point I felt uncomfortable and then the thin blonde proceeds to yell from the front all the way to the back room that "there are people here". An apologetic Megan emerged from the back to take our order and we apologized for coming in 30min before close. Megan saved the sale because we were about to walk out. That was our second experience with the same RUDE thinner blonde having 0 customer service skill. I work as a customer service manager for a bigger retail organization and I can tell you this is 100% unacceptable to make a client/customer feel the way she made us feel TWICE. We moved from Phoenix to a small town in North Carolina. We miss having healthy yummy food at our disposal. So I was so excited to stumble upon Frutta after waking our dog nearby. While it might be pricey to some, I feel like you get what you pay for! The amount of toppings on the bowls is unbelievable. We had the Caveman bowl and some GF avocado toast and even picked up some protein balls for later. Everything was so tasty and so fresh. We got everything to go and The bowls held up really well. I just moved to Ohio and I was looking for an açaí bowl when I found frutta bowl. The prices are kinda steep since a smoothie is about 9 dollars and a bowl in a decent size is about 12. I decided to give it a shot and bought my husband a smoothie and myself a bowl. We ordered and paid online, which said it would take 15 min. We arrived after 20 min and only the smoothie was ready. My husband told one of the girls she said it will be right out and disappeared. We waited for 15 min and then my husband asked another girl that responded with "No, she only ordered the smoothie", I then walked up to them and said that I had ordered both because I was charged 20 something dollars. I then had to open my bank app to prove what I had paid for and instead of apologizing she just said "hmmm idk what happened I have to call my boss to see what I can do", at this point I am waiting for over 30 mins already. After 43 min of wait and no apologies she said that her system was down and asked me for my bowl order. At that point I was no longer interested on the bowl and I asked for my money back which she then told me she would have to text her boss for that again and then once again another 15 min passes by until I could get my money. As she waited for her boss her and another girly proceed to chit chat, completely ignoring my husband and I, which almost made it seem like they were doing us a favor. Only after my husband asked for an update she apologized for the first time. After 1 hour and 5 min I finally got my money back. Even though my husband enjoyed the smoothie I can't imagine us coming back. The customer service was beyond disappointing. read more

Worst Frutta Bowls I've ever been to. Ordered my Figi bowl sub açaí base as usual (first time being to this location.) I watched the girl make my bowl, and she noticed that my entire base was melted. I watched her take paper towels to wipe the sides of the bowl from the açaí spilling out (it was pure liquid.) I decided I would try it, went outside and as soon as I opened it, it looked like soup. I took it back inside to ask the girl for a new one, gave her the old one and explained that it was all melted. She proceeded to make me a new bowl with açaí that had been sitting out.
