The problems at this school began when the previous head of school, Mr. James, left. Since Mr. James left we have experienced the following: 1. The School LOST our child - On one occasion, our child left her classroom and the school did not know where she was. To make it worse, they never informed us about the incident and had to learn about it from another parent whose child left the classroom with my child. I was told by other parents that this was not a singular event. After the incident, the school (after refusing my request to fire the teacher) agreed to never assign that teacher to supervise my child ever again. This agreement lasted for several months until the school started assigning that teacher to watch my child again. Additionally, when I confronted the head of school about the event, he informed me that he did not tell me about the event because I was pregnant and he did not want to "upset" me. 2. TIME OUTS - My child kept complaining that a particular teacher would separate her from other kids and put her in time outs. The time outs would occur on a chair that was away from other kids. 3. TELLING/MAKING MY DAUGHTER FEEL THAT SHE IS A BAD GIRL - My child told me that a particular teacher tells her that she is a "bad girl". 4. TICKS - The playground is full of ticks. After finding two giant ticks on my child, I informed the school of the problem. They did not respond to my email or treat the playground for ticks. Since then, I have learned that other children have also come home with lots of ticks. 5. DEPOSIT - When I informed the school that I was leaving, the school told me that they would be returning my entire deposit. I believe they did this due to my experience and to deter me from speaking out against them. Well...low and behold, I never received the deposit and when I confronted the school several months after I left, I was told that they never said that they would be returning my money despite me having the emails to prove it. The school's (almost) saving grace are Ms. Puja, Ms. Savi, and Ms. Varshini, who are caring teachers. Unfortunately, the administration's incompetence and carelessness is too much to overcome. If you are interested in a Montessori education, I have heard good things about the Guidepost Lawrenceville location. Just please for your mental health and your children's safety DO NOT enroll them in the Princeton Meadows school.

Not only did the Guidepost Montessori staff accommodate for the needs of the child but they were also very welcoming. It is not always easy having a guest come into your classroom. The toddler classroom is a beautiful learning environment for all of the children in their. I have seen many toddler classrooms that are chaotic. The children here are independent, regulated, nurtured, and challenged and these are toddlers! The teachers do a wonderful job and it is so nice to see.

I'm writing this to share an honest experience for other families who may not fully understand how…read moreprivate school policies can impact them during difficult times. My children attended this school and were happy there. It was the only school they had known, and they had built relationships, routines, and a sense of stability within that environment. When our family experienced financial hardship due to job loss, we were no longer able to meet the tuition requirements. As a result, our children were asked to leave. I understand that private schools operate as businesses and rely on tuition. However, what was difficult was the lack of flexibility, support, or transition planning for the children. The process felt abrupt, and there was little acknowledgment of the emotional impact on them. For young children, being removed from their school environment is not just a logistical change, it's a significant emotional disruption. That part did not seem to be considered in how the situation was handled. I'm sharing this so other parents are aware: If your financial situation changes, there may be limited options, and the outcome can be immediate. If you are considering this school, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about: -financial aid policies during unexpected hardship -transition support if a family can no longer afford tuition -how the school supports children emotionally in those situations The education itself may be strong, but families should understand the full picture before committing.

We have been a Chapin family for eleven years…read more My older daughter had attended Chapin since pre-k and graduated last year. She was more than ready to take on the challenges of secondary school. Her freshman year was an academic success! Throughout her years at Chapin, she has grown to be an independent, well-rounded individual. She's not afraid to email teachers about assignments, ask questions when she is uncertain about something discussed during class, or voice her opinion about anything. We owe those positive attributes to Chapin. My younger daughter has also attended Chapin since pre-k. She continues to amaze us with how much she's learned in just a short amount of time. We owe that to the excellent Chapin teachers who not only educate their students but also care about their growth and development. My husband and I are excited for my little one to experience all that Chapin has to offer in the coming years. Chapin is an extraordinary school. The decision to send our children here is one of the best decisions that my husband and I have ever made.

TLDR: This center is an unsafe and harmful environment for your children…read more Details: This looked to be an incredible facility - and in terms of the building itself - it is. Unfortunately, underneath the pretty façade there is a culture of abuse and a systemic failure to provide the care and love that children need to thrive. There were truly exceptional caregivers at this facility, and there are likely a couple left. But the majority of the caregivers we trusted with our child have left because of the issues below as well as larger more egregious concerns with how the facility was run and the methods and actions of some of the longer-tenured caregivers employed here. 1. We documented abuse of children with video evidence. Children being yanked around the room or forcefully made to do things. We were told this was resolved and "would never happen again." We've confirmed this is not the case. We've also found that the "potty room" in the toddler class is used as a timeout area. Children are often "disciplined" in areas where the teacher knows the cameras cannot see. Each of these is a clear violation of NJ law, besides that this is literal, to the letter of the law, child abuse. 2. We found that potty trained children with regressions (wet underwear during school) were placed in diapers throughout the day without their parents' permission or knowledge and had diapers removed before parents showed up in order to "hide" it from them and make it easier for teachers. This was done upon instruction of the owner of the facility. 3. Staff:child ratios that are set by the state of NJ are not followed (documented multiple times with video and teacher-confirmed evidence). From working in a daycare previously, I believe this is also grounds for loss of license on its own. 4. Our child often came home hungry on days when we purchased lunch from the school. We've brought this up with her teachers and have been told they have to beg to get extra food for the kids. We began sending our child to the school nearly every day with her own lunch because of this. This is besides that when we toured the school we were sold based on "healthy organic food," not hot chocolates, donuts, and hot dogs. 5. We do not think the school is run safely and had made numerous attempts to attempt to get the school to comply with Covid protocols when they were required. Some were followed, some received no response. This isn't as relevant now but just a reflection of leadership priorities and the disregard for parents' concerns (and what is legally and ethically required). 6. We did not receive a single notification of any contagious disease other than Covid. I know that other kids were out sick, and we pulled our child out sick multiple times. It appears never once were other parents informed. This is in violation of the school's own policy.
