The worst haircut I've ever gotten took an hour and a half to finally get the gossiping barbers to quit yapping and start working. Hair cut is so bad had to go with a buzzcut at home. First off I do like the place and they do respectable work which is why I go here. So that being said I went here today wanting a fresh cut and I get sat down with John G. and I should have asked for a different barber... Before he even makes the first cut all I see is shakiest of scissors in front of my eyes, afraid he was gonna poke my eye out or cut my ear off. I get that he's new and might be nervous but dude did a half ahh job and basically gave me a bowl cut nothing was even and the front of my hair was wavy with long strands so I had to go somewheres else to get it fixed. I made an appointment online for my son, got there on the day of the appointment and waited 30 minutes before being told that the person his appointment was with wasn't there that day. I even got an email reminding me of the appointment. Why would they not contact me to cancel the appointment or at least greet us when we arrived asking who our appointment was with so that we didn't have to wait so long just to be told that no one could cut my son's hair? No apology or anything was given. Very rude, no customer service, extremely unprofessional, and just bad business practices. I would definitely not recommend this place. read more

Love the local! Safe, and clean and I have two of them near me! Barbers are polite and very friendly.

A quick note...I drive from East Rochester to Millsy's to get my hair cut...and it's worth it! I have nothing negative to say about this place. I came here a handful of times a couple years ago and loved the atmosphere. The owner "Millsy" has the middle chair and was very welcoming and friendly. I could tell he has built a great relationship with my clients and his employees. Barbers Millsy: Although he doesn't cut my hair, he does a great job. He has been cutting a friend of mines hair for almost 2 years and my friend visits him every Friday. Eric: I love his cuts! I stopped him because he was a friend of mine in high school and heard he was starting to cut hair. I take my haircuts pretty seriously but wanted to give him a shot and help him out. Turns out I was going to leave my barber of 3 years to have Eric start cutting my hair. There are two other barbers but I can't speak on their work..but they both seem to have a constant flow of requests. If your looking for a warm, friendly, place to get a cut this is your stop. Took my son to get his haircut. I'm sure the barber is talented, but he has a very specific idea of what the cut should look like and refuses to cut per request. He cut my son's hair too short and in a style I specifically said I did not want. I now have to go to another shop to fix it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place sucks. Waited forever for a trim for my two boys. Finally got their hair cut but the couldn't even do a basic fade. The worst part is when he dropped his comb on the floor, he picked it back up and used it again...my son had head lice the very next day!! Beware!!! read more

We waited close to 50 minutes while they took thier time and took pictures with thier phones and took smoke breaks. I thought I could excuse the blaring rap music but that made it worse. I don't let my 13 old listen to lyrics like that but the final straw was when the guy cutting my son's hair kept nodding off WHILE CUTTING HIS HAIR. He was clearly high. This place did excellent on my hair. I told them I wanted flames and Joe that does designs wasn't supposed to come in but he performed above and beyond to make sure my hair was done right. No matter what the cost my hair came out beyond my expectations. They except walk ins and the average price is 10 and up. read more

This is the only place my boys (5 & 2 years) will go to get their hair cut! We've been going for over a year and every time their cuts come out great! They have a new location on Niagara St for more chairs, which has reduced the wait time, but even with a wait it's worth it! The staff are all very nice, they've added a fun car for the little ones to sit in, and they even put cartoons on for the kids. Absolutely the best place for an old school barber experience. Very skillfull barbers that can take a new age cut and put old school class with it. If you are looking for a great cut the way barbers have done it for years, then this is the place for you. I have been going to this shop since they opened and have been having Mike, the owner, cut my hair. I've never had a better haircut. The more success he's had, however, the later he seems gets there. He opens at eight, so that's when I would arrive. Sometimes, I had to wait for him to open so I started to go at nine instead. It got to the point where I had to call first to make sure he was there. Recently, I decided to just go there without calling and, guess what, he wasn't in yet! When one of the other barbers called him for me, he didn't answer the phone! What an absolute disaster for my 13 year old son today. My husband took my son to Millsy's for the 1st time today since his usual barber couldn't get him in for another month and he really needed a haircut. My husband had a photo of what the haircut should look like and also said to make sure that the barber left his hair 1/2 way over his ears and basically not too short in the back. From the 1st cut of the scissors, he instantly started cutting his hair well above his ear, and proceeded to create a haircut that is worse than could be imagined! I swear it was done deliberately and my son is devastated. This moron of a hairdresser obviously could care less about what he was doing. I would never recommend this place to anyone! Why would a hairdresser proceed to do something that was the total opposite of what was asked for - only answer that makes sense is that it was done on purpose. I don't write a lot of reviews, but had such a terrific experience here that I wanted to spread the good word about Millsy's. I am not from the area, but was in town for the 4th of July holiday and needed a good military fade before heading back to base tomorrow. I called and got an appointment easily (even on the 4th of July!). Joey cut my hair, and did an outstanding job. He is a very skilled barber who gave me the best haircut I've had in a very long time. At the time of this posting, Men's haircuts are $15, with an array of other services available (trim/edge up; beard trimming, etc).
