Yelp came through again!!!…read more Things don't always go as planned while in vacation. Last night while in Lexington, Kentucky at 11:30 pm my boyfriend's crown popped out. I yelped "emergency dental" and saw the post from a patient who had an emergency and was also on vacation. So, while on the road heading to Springfield, at 7:40 this morning we called Dr. Capati's after hours number and told him what happened. He said to call his staff at 8:00 and we did; they were able to squeeze in Stephen at 2:50 pm. The staff texted him a link for dental information (ie name, address, issues, etc) and by the time we arrived, everything was taken care of. He was done within 45 minutes and he said the tooth feels great. He's extremely happy and gives high praise to the staff and doctor.

I have made the call to do annual cleaning but it ended up be another "advanced" cleaning, named as: first time visit cleaning. This cleaning might be needed if you have not do your dental appt for more than 5-10 years, but for most ppl with insurance covered, we do cleaning annually, this advanced check make no sense, especially the dental trying to play the game to not mentioning specifically that they are doing a cleaning that will not be covered by insurance completely. So remember to ask clearly before they give you anything to sign!

Did the X-rays and then Dr Schlee came in for my exam. He was nice and got right in there and gave it to me straight regarding my old fillings and possibly needing a root canal. Gwen finished up with routine cleaning and was very nice when I had to close my mouth several times because of my TMJ. At the end when scheduling my appt for fillings and reviewing treatment plan they were able to explain a way I could do things out of order to keep my costs down.

We got those replaced with new and even though I had other older fillings she wasn't concerned about them in their current state and therefore didn't try and convince me to get them replaced just because they were older. As a patient it feels good to know you won't be sold a bill of goods with unnecessary procedures. I've worked with two of her hygienists and they were both great. I go in every 3-6 months for cleanings. I see for 2015 she was voted most favorite dentist in Springfield. I'm not surprised. Well deserved.

The dr is good and explains everything pretty well. She seems to really care about your child's…read morehealth and welfare. The whole team was good throughout my daughter's surgery. Although, I was expecting a different anesthesiologist and the one we had could not find a vein in her. It took about 10 sticks for them to finally find them. Thank God she had some pre sedation meds because it was horrible. When people can't drink water before surgery it makes them dehydrated, which makes it difficult to find veins. In that kind of situation you can't just go get another nurse to do it. So I kind of expect the one person there that's licensed to insert a needle to be exceptional at it especially when dealing with children. I hate to complain when someone is helping my child, but I hate to see a situation like that happen when it could have easily been avoided with some extra care and training in simple phlebotomy. The dr herself is very good and thorough. I have no complaints with her or her staff. She is a great dr and my daughter is no longer and afraid of the dentist as she was before.
