Last visit I waited over two hours and dentist was not available. Now they cannot do a root canal because the one dentist who can do is booked solid the month of june and is leaving on jun 30. I am paying $85 dollars amount for their insurance. I have paid thousands in treatment and my mouth is not better. Do yourself a favor and to somewhere the dentists are not all quitting and the treatment plan does not drain your wallet.

There was zero communication about the second dentist that resigned until the day I showed up for a crown - but due to convenience I continued being seen at the office until the work was finished. I went in for a cleaning most recently and not only was the dentist different than who I had an appointment with, but so was the hygienist who I specifically asked for. As someone with a lot of anxiety around dental care and weak teeth requiring fillings and crowns - the last couple of years have been a horrible experience. The final straw was offshoring the customer service. I can appreciate cost efficiency, but some things are just not meant to be outsourced. I wouldn't recommend a franchise dental office, and will not be returning to Schon. There is a reason there is so much turnover with their dentists.

We got those replaced with new and even though I had other older fillings she wasn't concerned about them in their current state and therefore didn't try and convince me to get them replaced just because they were older. As a patient it feels good to know you won't be sold a bill of goods with unnecessary procedures. I've worked with two of her hygienists and they were both great. I go in every 3-6 months for cleanings. I see for 2015 she was voted most favorite dentist in Springfield. I'm not surprised. Well deserved.

Dr. Jacobs is particularly excellent with children. I was told by several people that she is the the best dentist in Springfield to see young pediatric patients. I was going to different dentist office and they kept wanting to redo fillings over and over again. I finally went for a 2nd opinion at Renken and the fillings I have are still great. I also have some TMJ issues that have gradually becoming worse and worse. Dr. Renken suggested botox at my last cleaning. I went for a consultation. While the price is a bit steep for the procedure, Dr. Renken listed to all of my concerns about my facial expressions being affected, side effects, the fact that the procedure is still new, etc... They were NOT pushy AT ALL about the procedure. We ultimately decided that I would try chiropractic methods for dealing with the TMJ before we decided to do the botox procedure.
