    Great place to train with kids!!! They have youth and adult classes!!! Best believe you leave every work out drenched with hard work!!! Check them out to build great confidence and discipline for the family!

    They just opened two weeks ago but everything is great. They have work out sessions coached by their trainers and the program changes everyday. So you won't ever get bored with the same routine. With that said, they really work you out in here! Last night was the first time i joined their session for 30 minutes, when we were done i was really soaked with sweat, i felt like i was about to throw up, and my arms feels like it was about to fall off. The Trainers really push you during the class, and that is a good thing if you really are decided to stay fit. I feel good this morning though. My body feels lighter and i am not as sore as i expected to be. The owner is a good friend of mine and is also one of the owner of the nearby Gabucan Dental Clinic. Great guy and funny as hell. I tried to join another boxing gym even before they opened this one, i've searched and found some places in san jose but it's hella expensive. they charge like $180 per month. Milpitas Boxing Fitness only charges half of what other boxing gyms charge. If you guys wanna try it out, they usually do an open session on 6:30pm everyday except sundays i think. and you guys can try it out for free. Come and check it out! I will post pictures as soon as i'm done editing them lol.

    I thought I would come out of hibernation and give a review where it is well deserved. My goal was to join a morning workout before heading out to work. I have tried numerous gym memberships with no results or motivation or any success. I found MBF online and decided to give it a try. I must say in the last 4 months my life has taken a huge turn in the right direction! Imagine an out of shape, obese person weighing close to 230 pounds trying out a boxing gym with no clue as to what a jab is or what goes on in a strength and conditioning workout. I was close to death the first few weeks after taking the morning bootcamp classes. The Coaches were patient, attentive and helpful along with the great support from everyone at the gym. I have lost little over 30 pounds, can keep up with the instructors and run close to 5 miles. I don't think I could have even imagined it was possible even in my wildest dreams. Long story short the workouts are never the same, they have a wide variety of classes to choose from, great rates and a friendly environment. I came in expecting to workout with a bunch of people and go on with my life but I ended up making great friends and becoming part of the MBF family. People laughed when I told them I have joined a boxing gym but look who is laughing now.

    Zumba review from MJ - Cheryl is an awesome instructor! She's fun, energetic, mixes it up with not only Latin flare but also urban and hip hop style! Sometimes Kpop! She's innovative with her routines which I love, and takes special music requests. Her classes are not only great for weightless and cardio, but she incorporates light weights for toning them muscles! Highly recommended! Tuesday and Thursday 745p-845p and Saturdays 9am-10a. Come and check it out!

But getting results overall depends on your determination on going to the gym every day or according to whatever your training plan is, staying committed to the diet or meal plan, your mindset, and putting in the effort consistently while not falling back into any previous bad habits. But safety is key, that is #1! Know your limits and where you feel improvement is needed. And know when your body needs to pause to not overstrain yourself.

What sets Smash apart from other gyms I've trained at is the strong sense of community. I met a lot of amazing people, both students and coaches, and the camaraderie there is unmatched. It wasn't until I moved away from the South Bay and trained at other gyms that I fully appreciated how special Smash is. While other gyms are good, they simply don't compare to the experience I had with Coach Rudi, Jose, Tristan, and the rest of the team. If I ever move back to the South Bay, or even just visit, I'll definitely drop by for a session.

I was amazingly impressed with how she did the assessment and pointed out all of my problems through my movements, and told me how to train to improve them and my back conditions (I have a long history of severe back pain). We focused on all the basic techniques first, the first few sessions were all about how to engage the core and breathe right to make sure I work out safely. These are essential for all sport training, but also significantly important for people with bad back like me. Gwen's workouts are challenging but super fun to do. She always listen to how my body feels to make necessary adjustment. I have passed the period of mobility focus and now working more on the agility workouts. My back has been great, and after the first few months of moving slow, I started seeing steady results. I took a Dexa scan at the beginning to know where I was at, and now taking it every 2 months to keep track of the results. While my lean mass has increased a bit slowly, I have drop quite a good amount of fat mass, and my bone mineral is higher. If you are looking for a trainer, I highly recommend Gwen, she is a perfect match for any training needs but even more so for people with injury and training limits.

I've tried plenty of different workouts over the years, and this one is truly my jam. I've been coming to this studio since it was formerly known as SMUV. It's under the same owner, just rebranded as LFBA, and the quality has only continued to impress me. The studio has 10 reformers and an amazing team of instructors who consistently deliver challenging, effective classes. Spots fill up fast, so be sure to book early to secure your place. When I tried booking it through the app, I selected it on the drop menu, but for some reason it didn't put it for me. I did pay a reduced fee, but I would think that it would know that it was my first time and automatically sign me up for it. When I got there, the instructor told me I had to pay for the socks, but I could email the manager to see if I could get a reimbursement. So the class and socks ended up costing me 40 bucks (18 for socks). For some reason the label said $14, but I was charged 18. Not sure why. First impressions - The instructor seemed nice, but the intro was literally 5 minutes long and then you were on your own. When I started at orange theory, the coach constantly checked in on me to see if I was okay and that made me feel better about starting a new workout. Honestly, I felt like a fish out of water. I had to keep looking at the other girls next to me to see what to do because the instructor was throwing out instructions and unfamiliar terms to me at the speed of light. Also, I could tell the handle bar slack was uneven, but after my friend mentioned that hers was too to the instructor, she said "oh" and that was it so I didn't speak up either. The workout - Man, this burns so good. I thought I would be prepared for it with a year of Orange Theory under my belt, but my body was not ready for it. I can see why it's such a good workout. My legs were still shaking 30 minutes after. I would be up for another class in the future. Just need more exposure to the terminology. Overall it was a great workout. Maybe not the best for someone that is completely new to it, but you got to start somewhere.

ASD also offers many other classes and so many talented instructors! Coach Shayne has been a big influence on myself and my husband. He continues to help us learn proper fighting techniques. Andrea is an awesome coach who continues to amaze us! Amit, Troy, Chris, Sergey, Marziya, and Jason have all taught me so much in Krav. Ilya's Hyrox and Fighter Flow classes are fun and a great workout! He also has a cook book that explains easy and healthy recipes! Manny's Boot Camp/kickboxing classes are always intense and will leave you sore. James' DEKA class was creative, hard and definitely worth a try! My son has enjoyed the Kids Krav classes....thank you James, Andrea, Anh and Marziya for teaching the big group of kids! I love watching him come home and practice and share what he learned. We often compare what we are all doing in class during the week. I can't forget Neal, the owner! And Carrie at the front desk! They always make us feel welcome and at home!
