I was referred to to Restoration 1 from friends who used them and they did not disappoint. When I called Alex, he was a huge help and was a calming professional voice during a truly stressful time. He was able to get to my house with all the needed equipment quickly to start the clean up and start drying out the basement. When he heard of the difficulty getting a plumber on the phone to get the boiler fixed he was able to get me in touch with one for the fix. The management wasn't easy approving Gotham, and I am putting it lightly. They found an obstacle over an obstacle. But Jasmin and Luis would not give up on me. Finally, we got the approval, and work started. Luis and his team not only demonstrated their exceptional professionalism, but they also earned my trust in a remarkably short time. I felt so secure in their hands that I was comfortable leaving them to work alone. Even when the cabinet company (KraftMaid, via HomeDepot) sent a few damaged cabinet doors and a cabinet base, Luis and his team were there, accommodating every time another door arrived damaged. Aside from that, this is an old building. It is amazing that it is standing because not one wall is straight, nor the floor or the ceiling. You will not see any of that when you look at my kitchen. Luis and his team managed to "camouflage" it. My budget and the final approval would not allow for any major wall changes besides plastering. They also replaced my floor from tile to parquet-looking. There was an issue with leveling with the saddle of the living room floor, but they worked it out amazingly, too. So thank you, Gotham Builders of NY. I enjoy looking and cooking in my new kitchen.

My family owns an apartment building in the Bronx, in an area prone to flooding. The last thing we want to deal with is mold damage due to a flood if not properly addressed! The most recent flood caused a significant amount of water damage to the basement and there were some mold issues because we were waiting on "our usual" service to come. When they got delayed again, we reached out to SERVPRO of West Bronx. After speaking with Frank and Jane Ann, two technicians, Nick and Christian, showed up the same day and provided us with a comprehensive water and flood damage inspection, estimate and timeframe. Needless to say, we went ahead. The team they assembled for this clean up were knowledgeable and professional. Having them on the case was super comforting because we knew we could trust them.
