I was in the market for a new optometrist after moving here a couple years ago, so took my friends up on their review and decided to book an appointment. Dr. Permack was extremely kind, patient, and attentive. He took the time to run a number of tests on my eyes and make sure I was completely satisfied with the final prescription he prescribed. I also really appreciated that Dr. Permack paid attention to my family's ocular history and ensured that he ran a cornea mapping exam with some fancy new equipment he had! What most impressed me with Dr. Permack was that he was able to teach me how to put in contact lens and found me a type that I really liked. I've been resisting contacts for years now, and was so surprised when he was able to give me a pair of contacts that I could barely feel and actually could see through! All in all, I would recommend Dr. Permack without hesitation. If you're looking for a talented, conscientious optometrist, make sure to give him a call. Bonus points: Dr. Permack has these hilarious test 'glasses' that you can put on that let you test the prescription he recommends. Ask him to try them on and you'll see what I'm talking about.

No wonder I had headaches and my eye sight got blurry when I did not have glasses on. But I was told then that I needed to give it time for my eyes to adjust. I tried for several months but to no avail. Second time, I got my eyes checked again there, I got a different prescription, and was asked what I wanted. Weird, because it's the trend to go with what an eye doctor prescribes you not what you "want", especially when it comes to prescription glasses. After much back and forth, I finally obtained a cross-examination with a different doctor, and that time I was told that I actually did not need glasses at all! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. If you are concerned about your vision, and actually want to safeguard it, not the place to go. Go somewhere where they know what they're doing. Eyesight is far too precious to fumble with.

Everything about this process was professional; the very clear explanation Dr. Hong gave me about what was wrong and the possible repercussions, her insistence that I stay in her office until she got me an appointment, her steady and assertive advocating with St. Mike's to get me in for a same day appointment and her gracious offer to answer any questions after my hospital treatment. Which is good, and it would give you more room of expenditure for your glasses.. they have pretty good collections , as I would always say they have quality than quantity.
