We hosted our fusion wedding (South Asian and Jewish) at Milton Ridge on October 13, 2023, amidst a guest count of about 115 on a crisp and cool fall day. From the stunning venue to the seamless coordination, our special day was a beautiful blend of traditions and cultures. We believe that Milton Ridge is unique in offering an all-inclusive intimate space with comprehensive packages and fair pricing. The picturesque setting of Milton Ridge provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The lush gardens and elegant architecture created a romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the joyous occasion. The venue's versatility allowed for a seamless transition between the fusion outdoor Nikkah ceremony and the lively reception. Both day-of coordinators (from the venue) deserve special recognition for their impeccable service. They went above and beyond by working with the decorating crew, DJ, MC, and photography crew to ensure that every detail was executed flawlessly. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, their professionalism and dedication were evident. The catering was a highlight of the evening. The fusion menu was expertly curated by the on-site chef and offered a delightful array of dishes that pleased guests from both cultural backgrounds. The chef at Milton Ridge showcased his culinary expertise by seamlessly blending flavors and textures, creating a feast that left a lasting impression on our guests. There were some concerns with the demeanor of some of the contracted waitstaff towards some of our externally hired vendors, but I recognize that this was not necessarily in the venue staff's control. I would suggest that the venue's staff be more responsive and receptive to telephone communication, as well. Some matters can be better discussed over the phone. I believe the venue mentioned that we were the 2nd or 3rd South Asian wedding held at the venue, so we were glad to allow the venue to work with us on our wedding to gain experience and we would certainly consider hosting future events such as anniversary parties or a baby shower at Milton Ridge! read more

In June, my husband and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary by hosting a vow renewal and wedding reception at Milton Ridge. To say the day was spectacular is an understatement! The owner and operator, Ronnie Kingsley, handled every detail (great or small) with impeccable care. The food was incredible, the atmosphere was picturesque and the service was outstanding. In summary, I highly recommend Milton Ridge as venue of choice in the Washington Metropolitan area. I hosted my sons bar mitzvah here--and what a party It was!! Stunning and so much fun! The service here is beyond fantastic. All the kids said it was their favorite bar mitzvah. There was plenty of space, both inside and outside. I wouldn't change a single thing from the fantastic food, interior design, lighting, gorgeous outdoor patio, bar, photo booths, chapel and guesthouse and all the other services Milton Ridge recommended, like Dj, florist, and photographer. I went to Milton Ridge for a tour. I received a quote. Once I went home and compared the quote to the brochure I noticed some inconsistencies and I confirmed with the coordinator Cara that the brochure prices were correct and the quote was incorrect. Then I asked for a second inquiry today via email and I text the coordinator with a question. It's obvious she thought she was speaking to her colleague when she responded. She was trying to recall my last name and then stated that she is "sometimes a little racist". I responded and told her to cancel my inquiry. I'm very disappointed and disgusted to know that these are the options of the people that represent this venue. read more

My daughters quinceañera (sweet 15) was this past weekend and it was one night to remember! We had our wedding there the weekend of July 7th. We loved the venue the first time we visited Milton Ridge. My wife and I worked with Milton Ridge representative Meaghan to make our wedding day perfect. The only issue was due to this being a July wedding, it was extremely hot. The chapel was air conditioned, but I think the amount of guests all in one room made the ceremony very hot. Also there was a problem with the air conditioning in the grooms suite, but since it was recently redeveloped I believe the issue will be fixed soon. The food we served at our reception was fantastic, even though the two of us didn't have much time to eat it since were busy mingling with guests. Let me start with the positive: We had a wedding here, and since Milton Ridge advertised themselves as a comprehensive wedding venue, we booked nearly all of their services except for the cake. The catering was AMAZING. Hands down the best wedding food I've ever eaten. Amy Sievers, the photographer, was a blast to work with. Jody, the hair stylist, took FOREVER to get the hair done, but she created masterpieces! Now, the reason why I would give it zero stars if I could: Tracy, the Wedding Coordinator, is the most unorganized person I have run into in the wedding industry. She double booked services at the venue (don't believe their claim on The Knot that they only have one wedding a day), because of a variety of excuses ranging from her computer crashing to being on the road and not having a schedule in front of her. It was difficult to communicate with her, as I must have tried at least 4 times for every question I had, which was usually met with a quick response of, "I'm on the road, let me get back to you," and was never followed up on unless I pursued her again. She was unapologetic for all of her mistakes and instead told me that she was "Sorry I chose to be angry" that she took our money for services she couldn't provide. She refused to speak with us and we had to send in my now in-laws to resolve how we were going to get the services we paid for. Three days before the wedding, two things happened. I got a phone call from a DJ that I didn't recognize frantically trying to get some information together because he thought we were having a last minute wedding and he didn't have ANY information that we had sent to Milton Ridge 2 weeks prior to the wedding. Second, Tracy sent me a program to make a seating arrangement, which I had done months earlier on The Knot. It took me half the night to enter all the guests into their respective tables. When she finally looked at it the night before the wedding, she noticed that our catering contract didn't match the number of chairs on the seating chart. I called her and left a voice mail, and also followed up with an email after the rehearsal dinner, explaining why (we added seats so people could mingle, and a table just in case we had people who didn't RSVP, since I know my family well!). She cornered my father in law and demanded a check for $650 on the morning of the wedding, or they wouldn't provide the catering. We only ended up having 3 more people than I put down on the catering contract, and are unable to get our money back. When I asked her about this, she said she never listened to the message, or looked at her email. The "Reverend" Roger Fair: This man makes a business out of marrying people. He has no genuine interest in them. He did not require us to meet him before the wedding day, so I set up my own appointment. While I was less than impressed, I was stuck since we had already booked him in the contract. I should have chalked up my losses from the very beginning. During the rehearsal, he was quite rude to me and my family, and refused to perform a few ceremony details we wanted to personalize our wedding. I don't know what sparked his horrible behavior on the wedding day, but after a multitude of just completely RUDE incidents, I spoke with him and told him that since he was under my employ for the day, he needed to be a bit less rude and a lot more helpful. He hissed at me that if I said one more word to him he would walk out (this was 10 minutes before the ceremony). My father came unglued and told him that he should never EVER threaten a bride like that. He hissed again that he was leaving, so I told him he could go. We delayed our ceremony about 45 minutes to allow enough time for an ordained member of our party to get a ceremony plan together. During this time, Tracy couldn't be found, until one of the bridesmaids remembered seeing her go up a set of stairs to the attic in the cottage. They found her up there on Facebook, completely ignoring our wedding. While Milton Ridge is a beautiful place to get married, and the catering staff were wonderful, as well as the photographer, Tracy and the not-so-reverend made the day of my dreams an absolute nightmare that I wish I could block out of my mind for eternity. read more

Went to a ceremony at this place and loved it. This chapel and reception hall is first class. It has beautiful stone structure with a chapel, reception hall and cottage on the same property. The reception hall is clean and has very nice decor. The food is phenomenal. Actually the rolls they served were not hot but the beef and shrimp they served were really good. Really on par with some of the best hotels in DC. Lots of special touches. The bride and groom raved about the service, the his and hers bath robes and the fresh baked treats that they served to the bridesmaids and her party. If I ever have to get married again, I would do it here. read more

We just had our son's Bar Mitzvah party at Milton Ridge, and it was wonderful! The staff were always on top of everything and thought of every little thing, they were always easy to reach even with last-minute questions, and everything was very thoughtfully arranged and looked perfect. In addition, the food they provided for our event was so good that many guests came up to me with unsolicited compliments about it, and even kids were asking for second and third helpings. I've organized multiple other events before, both for family and for work, and I felt like these guys are really at the top of their game and a total pleasure to work with. read more

12/17/2011 My daughter was very excited to contract Milton Ridge as her wedding site after the many wonderful reviews and pictures shown off on line.We even went with many of the services they offered because of their connection with the facility.However when the day arrived the florist sent flowers that were very limp and appeared half dead , not fresh at all.The Kissing balls for her bridesmaids were sparce to say the least.It appeared the florist had ran out of flowers lots of styrofoam was showing.The flowers on the top of the cake had fallen off the stem.And it looked like a stick poking from the top of the cake.(More Like Nightmare before christmas).Far from classy and really not worth the price paid.The tables however and the church were decorated tastefully .The cake from the cake vendor offered at Milton ridge was crooked and very apprentice like.Not appearing to come from a professional baker.It did however taste wonderful.We paid for 100 slices of cake and only had 60 guest.When the cake was cut no one was invited to have cake.The bride and groom never received a slice of the cake as the mother of the birde I had to complain to have the cake served to the bride and groom.There was not enough cake to go around and not every guest received a slice.Which was very perplexing as we had paid for almost double the serving as wehad paid for 100 servings with only 60 guest.As the Mother and Father of the Bride we had to search for a piece of the cake.We also hired the viedographer from milton ridge; he left early not even staying to capture the full reception.He did however stay at the begining and sat and ate dinner and converstaed with our photographer whom we hired from the outside;our outside photographer i would like to mention stayed from start to finish.Whe I asked the weddig coordinatoor at Milton ridge why the vidoegrapaher left early they could not supply an excuse.We had no set contract however and there were no contracted times.If we had been told he would leave early if we did not pay 100 extra dollars and hour ECT...Maybe I would have understood but this was not an option he did not even say he was leaving.We were not exactly working with a budget to plan we pulled out all the stops for our daughter.We could have searched for cheaper prices from outside vendors.We wanted her day to be very special.I also would warn about the DJ Fela he plays his music very loud and lots of RAP.More like a BAR or a Dance Club.Not exactly a DJ for a wedding.If you like this however he would be the one to hire.Myself and several of my guest had asked hm to turn the music down and play something more approriate and guest friendly he ingnored request and at the end of the wedding acted like I had never said anything at all.I Guess it really did not matter to him he had been paid far in advance.Many of our guest left early because of his unprofessional ability to cater to the guest versus his own taste for music.My husband had asked him to play our wedding song so we could have one dance ourselves.It wasnt until our daughter (The bride finally asked him at the end of the wedding that he finally played our song).In the end our daughter is Married the wedding is over and any buyer regret is far from the course.As her day cannot be returned.I will say however their catering service is wonderful and their workers on site are very curteous.They have a beautiful grounds to be married.The Minister was a delight.Their make up artist was well worth the money too, she is a hard working and does a georgous job she is well worth every penny.But buyer beware.Consider before contracting their inside services.They are only allocating services from vendors.Shop before you buy.I would stay away from their Florist and DJ service/Viedographer/Cake maker.We would have had a perfect wedding for our daugter had we used an outside vendors, maybe someone already used before.This was a lesson well learned and a road we will not travel again as we have 2 more wedding to plan.I hope this will help any brides planning their weddings.So that your day can be a perfect one.Not one stressed and begging people to do jobs they were already paid for.I will review the viedogrpahers work once submitted but I cannot help but feel he lost valuable shots that will never be replaced due to leaving early .(He left 1 1/2 after reception started.30 minutes he set eating dinner talking to our photographer my brother viedo taped him from start to finish.He left out read more

FLAWLESS! FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH!! We had a very complicated theme wedding, with folks from all over the world and costumes and Tracy coordinated it all in blazing July heat. She kept the AC on full blast so all 100 of us were comfortable. We used all the services that Milton Ridge offers. All were flawless too. Food was gourmet. Photographer so amazing and artistic. Jody did hair and make-up and made us all look younger and perfect. She is like having an air brush for your face. The wait staff was sooo attentive. The DJ did all our songs, in perfect order and volume. The drinks fantastic, the flowers were so fresh and artistically arranged. There was not one hitch, nothing. All the guests we so impressed. And they all appreciated the fact that the wedding and reception were all at one venue so no need to drive. We stayed later for dancing than had been planned and Tracy coped with it all. Tracy even had cold drinks up in the chapel for the Groom and his buddies to drink while waiting! She had an embroidered robe waiting for me to wear while Jody did her magic! Shary created the wedding cake of all cakes. Since it was a themed wedding the cake was not a normal stacked cake. The guests are still talking about its amazing design and of course the taste! And trays of food for all the ladies and I to enjoy during the dressing and makeup process. Tracy performed a miracle. She coordinates every tiny detail for 100 folks!! The cost was very, very reasonable too. We have used her catering service 4 times since the wedding and the food is always perfect, tasty and prompt. Milton Ridge is the absolutely perfect venue for a wedding. The staff is amazing. They are warm, welcoming and professional. We left everything in their competent hands and my daughters wedding and reception was perfection. The chef put out the best meal ever and all of the guests agreed it was perfectly prepared from appetizers to a full course meal. The owner is hands on with his staff Meaghan and Clarissa. I can not say enough about how great this venue is. bridal cottage is charming. The grooms area perfect. Reception hall beautiful. A complete 5 Star and beyond wedding experience! I would recommend Milton Ridge to anyone looking to have their wedding in the DC area. Meaghan was an absolute pleasure to work with during the entire 12 months of planning our wedding she responded promptly to our phone calls, emails and there was not one request she wasn't able to accommodate. We also used Milton Ridge's Day of Coordinator services which helped us tremendously especially because we provided a lot of our own decor and had vendors to work with. She helped us from beginning to end of the wedding with entire set-up and it came out better than I imagined.We used their recommended DJ Fela who provided us with very professional user friendly site to help customize our cocktail hour and reception music, and we used their recommended photographer as well who was very professional arrived on time, there whenever we needed them to be and stayed until the entire reception was over! OK! THE FOOD.. we still have guest calling us about how good the food was. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection- we upgraded our food selection to include the lamb and it was beyond worth it. Your guest will remember very little about your wedding day however they will remember THE FOOD and Milton Ridge didn't disappoint in this area at all. Even the wedding cake was delicious!
