I made an appointment super last minute, and I was grateful that they were able to get me in. I sat…read morein the chair with a guy named William and he asked me what I wanted a couple of times I had to repeat myself, which was not the issue at all, but each time it felt like he was going more and more agitated when I was just trying to be clear because of course I'm not a barber so I don't know terms like "mid low or high fade". I felt him getting increasingly agitated so I just got out of the chair and said thank you and he muttered something along the lines of "youre contradicting yourself and acting like I don't know what I'm doing". It's not that I didn't think he knew what he was doing. I just wanted to make sure I was clear before he started. Seemed very much like he had v little patience but as someone who had never been there before , I didn't go in wanting smoke..I just wanted a haircut. The woman who checked me in was nice though.

The service and quality of the work is fine, but their pricing is nonexistent!…read more I moved into the neighborhood last February and in April went and got a decent haircut that cost $58.78. I thought it was a bit high, but I had been out of NYC for 7 years and accepted it, and that included a tip. I next went in July, got pretty much the same (simple) haircut and that cost $41.57, again with a tip. Much more reasonable I THOUGHT. I went in October and was charged $66.69 without a tip! WTF? I didn't go there to get SCALPED! Guess you won't miss 3 visits a year.

This shop is RACIST! They are the epitome of the not so…read morediscrete example of racism that accompanies Gentrification. I came to this shop last week and politely inquired about a haircut and beard shape up. The barber stated "due to COVID-19 protocols we are not allowed to shape beards up." I am shocked as I walk past the same shop today 1.30.2020 and the same barber is literally in the window shaping up someone's beard! Having a barbershop in a historically Black neighborhood means you must have the capacity to cater to a diverse set of hairstyles and people! I will find more ways to out this shop EVERY SINGLE DAY!

First time here, I'm reading my past haircut reviews saying "X" is the best place ever…read more Man... The haircut I received yesterday was the best damn haircut I received in NYC in a loooong time. I'll explain. I walk into a small shop. I tell them I have an appointment (That is a must) and I'm shown to a chair. The woman cutting my hair introduces herself and she says her name is like the perfume. So now I'm trying to think of her name, Shalimar? Chanel? White Diamonds? We start talking and she's telling me her career, how she worked at bumble & bumble and other high end boutiques. She cut my hair and then shows me to the sink?? Yes, included in this price is a shampoo? Awesome.. Then its back to the chair, she's snipping, cutting and styling. She's telling me I have good hair. I say thank you and this is the reason why I'm at your shop today. A typical mens cut in Long Island is $18 bucks. They plop you in the chair, buzz you fast and say next! Now I look like damn Vinnie Barbarino. NO! My girl Dior (?) gave me the best damn haircut I had all year. I'll be back in a few weeks before my vacation. You need to change the business name to Men's Best Damn Haircut
