My favorite big and beautiful tree in my back yard appeared to be sick or dying, and I contacted Milton's Tree Care Services hoping it could be saved. Milton of MTSC was responsive, came out and examined my tree and diagnosed it as having died as a result of a disease that was infecting and killing that particular type of tree. He even pointed out the same tree in my neighbor's yard which had suffered the same fate. After getting over the fact that my big and beautiful tree would never provide shade and beauty to my backyard again, I had to turn my attention to what to do now. Milton explained that it would be best to remove the tree, because it was only a matter of time before the tree, which was HUGE, would start to lose its limbs and eventually fall itself. He went on to explain the process and the costs, and advised that MTSC was insured for the work they would perform. He even made suggestions for trimming back some limbs from my neighbors trees that were hanging over into our yard and agreed to do so at no additional cost with the approval of our neighbors. When I arrived home that evening, if it wasn't for the fact that I KNEW a tree once stood where my tree used to be, I would not have known the tree had been removed. The owner Milton Munoz was very professional, honest and truthful. He went out of his way to get the matter resolved for me. The price he quote was very reasonable for the equipment he needed to do this job. Other tree companies quoted prices much higher for the equipment needed to do this type of work. One company requested that I take a picture of the tree without coming out and wanted more than Milton Tree Care Service then became upset after I challenged them about honesty. I have learned from this experience there is a lot of dishonest tree companies that try to take advantage of customers during this pandemic. There should not be a price difference of more than $1,000 and then being told they aren't responsible for the cleaning up, of object that fall in your neighbor's yard. HIGHLY recommend Milton's Tree Care Service! Their guys are very professional and knowledgeable. They provided a free estimate and walk through, where they walked me through the property and what they would do. Also provided tips and advice on how to maintain the front and back yard. When the day came come to remove the trees, they showed up on time and jumped right in to the work. They work very studiously, getting three trees removed in less than half a day's work. They also brought all the necessary machines to do the work, including grinding the tree stumps and also turning all the wood into sawdust. It was actually a lot of fun to just watch their guys work. Once everything was done, they cleaned everything up and hauled everything away. They even went above and beyond, talking to my neighbors and neighboring property managers to make sure that there everything was left satisfactory. The price was also very great and competitive. When we bought our house two years ago we had a large bush that was growing out of control off to the side of our house. Once it reached the power lines we knew it was time to finally do something about it. After receiving over 8 quotes via Yelp from various tree services, that gave us a wide range of estimates, we went with Milton because of cost and his responsiveness. He even took $200 off of the initial estimate he'd provided by phone. He told us we didn't have to be home so we scheduled a day for his team to come a few days later. Wonderful professional crew. Came on time careful when doing all work cleanup was superior. Spoke with me during the day on what was occurring and what to expect. They had to bring large equipment onto the property and not one thing, including grass was damaged. They had to work around flower beds, shrubs and roses none damaged. Work had to be done very close to the house, which is historical, and nothing was damaged not even close. I was so happy with the work. Best work I have had done from professionals. Wish they did other types of work. Before the project Milton and I met and discussed the work I needed. We walked the yard. He explained in detail what he thought I needed and why. My neighbors home has been vacant and a tree on their property line was dying and coming down on my cable lines and was at risk to take out my fence. We needed preventative tree care, and received quotes without a great frame of reference from 800-$2500! Milton was one of several quotes I received for tree service, they were not the cheapest but we felt it was a fair price and appreciated that they were extremely professional organized and reliable. I received a quote right away via email with photos and pricing however it did take some time and a few calls to get the service scheduled. This is largely due to several storms in the area preventing work and lots of downed trees. Once scheduled they did a great job. Milton did call to say he had misquoted the price and that there were additional tree branches that needed to also come down and he requested 25% more. They removed two massive pine trees that were threatening to fall on my house and my neighbors house, in addition to several other trees in my back yard. My neighbor called me Thursday to say that he was not trying to scare me but to let me know that a TREE had fallen on my home. Yes, an entire tree that had been in my yard for 20 years and over 20 years old. I panicked, called the insurance company they took the claim. The service was SUPERB. Milton came out to evaluate what was needed. He wanted us to prune the Willow Oak instead of cutting it down. The tree has no signs of disease, provides much shade during the hot summer months and is large and stately. It is a 31 year old beautiful tree and to replace with something else would be costly. So the team pruned and the cuts were all done at the fork, bringing in much needed light to showcase my summer flowers and also keeping it's beauty and symmetry. The second tree was removed along with the stump. I begin putting the wood chips in my flower bed and the team informed me it was their job. I am a stickler for neatness and I was very impressed. I reached out to Milton's to get an estimate for possible tree removal -- one of which is considered a heritage tree in DC. They responded quickly and texted me when the arborist was in my area to provide the free onsite estimate. When Marcos arrived, he quickly assessed the trees, heard my reasons for cutting them, and informed me of my options. I've had an independent certified arborist examine the trees several years ago, and Marcos's assessment backed up the previous report. Had a large tree split, and part fell on a small yard bridge, piercing the bridge. The rest of the tree remained standing. Milton cleared all from the structure, cut down and removed the rest of the tree, and trimmed another large tree that had some branches getting ready to fall near the house. On this particular job, the large trunk of the main tree had to be cut and carried up hill to the street and hauled off, and I believe not every company would have been prepared, with both equipment and expertise, to do this job. Milton and his crew were phenomenal!! This was the first time we had to hire a tree removal company, but I can definitely say Milton's Tree Care Services is one of the best. Milton came to survey an uprooted tree in our yard after a storm. It was kind of an emergency situation, and Milton was at our house within an hour to provide a quote, despite it being 10PM. His crew showed up bright and early the next day and removed the very large tree in no time at all. Everyone was extremely professional and safe. Contacted Milton's Tree Service to remove two dying Douglas Fur trees that was not only at risk of falling on my house, but was killing all my grass and taking over my entire backyard. Milton's Tree Service arrived on time and removed both trees and grinder the stump down. I did request to have the lawn reseeded but their quote was higher than all the other quotes I got. I ended up getting my grass reseeded by a local landscaper and a few months later, I got my entire lawn back. This company is amazing. I just had 9 large trees removed today, and their service is outstanding. They are very prompt to respond to first initial contact, and within less than a week I received my estimate, signed my proposal, and these 9 trees were removed by the end of the following day. I'm really impressed with their service, and I most definitely, highly recommend them. This company is awesome! Milton is very knowledgeable and actually loves trees, so his care for them is reflected in how he works. He did cut several trees down that were damaging our home, but the ones that he pruned or reshaped were done with great expertise and great care. He gave me a lot of good advice about our yard as well. He and his crew worked hard and did a ton of work in a day for a good price.
