The washer made a loud and jarring "boom" sound when it began its cycle, and several times throughout the washing cycle. Harper's came out to look at it twice, and said that there was nothing wrong with it - perhaps it was a plumbing issue (though the previous washer had not made this sound). We had a plumber check it out and it was not a plumbing issue. We have listened to the very loud booms from the machine (which reverberate throughout the house) for 2 years until it stopped working last week. Our repairman said it needed a new control board, which he installed. This still did not fix the problem. His finding was that the "boom" sound was a defective drive motor, which was not detected by Harper's on 2 occasions. When I went to Harper's today to tell them about the situation they took no responsibility, telling me their repair person had looked at the machine and not found anything wrong with it, and unfortunately the warranty was up. I find this very frustrating, as there was clearly something wrong with the machine from the beginning, and their lack of getting to the root of the problem caused it to break after only two years. Yes, technically it is no longer their problem, but they could have done way better on this. Extremely disappointing.

The production manger Angel, was absolutely fantastic and patient, always answering my calls promptly and attentive throughout the process. The stone company and their team were also outstanding. Last year, that fireplace was determined to be the cause of a devastating house fire that displaced my family. Following a thorough investigation, we were informed that the fire resulted from the fireplace being improperly installed. We also learned that the renovation was completed without the required Howard County permit. Had the proper permit been obtained, county inspections could have identified the installation issues before the project was completed. As a result, our home suffered extensive damage and is expected to take approximately 12 months to rebuild. Beyond the financial impact, this experience has taken an enormous physical and emotional toll on my family. Despite everything we've endured, we have not received any acknowledgment of responsibility from VKB Kitchens & Bath and they were informed last November (2025) that they were responsible for my house fire. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. If you're considering a home renovation, I encourage you to carefully research your contractor, verify that all required permits will be obtained, and make sure the work will be properly inspected. A renovation should improve your home, not put your family's safety at risk or turn your life upside down for years.

While ProSource didn't physically have this tile, Jensen ordered the time for me from his distributor and I was able to pick it up. All in the same week! We wanted a premium quality update for 20 year-old kitchen, but had a tight budget. After getting some eye-popping bids from contractors that wanted to do everything or nothing, we decided to DIY it and hoped for the best. We looked at all the online, RTA and big box retailers but weren't happy with the combination of quality, price and guidance we found. Fortunately, we came to Kraftmaid Vantage, Pandora and Shaw. Shaw worked with us to DIY what we could and provided help (patiently) when we asked. He had great ideas, but also listened to our ideas. He gave great guidance on configuration, color and countertops. The cabinets were professionally delivered on time. We had one damaged item and the factory didn't cut the oven cabinet correctly. Shaw sorted the problems quickly without issue. We're very happy with Kraftmaid Vantage quality and finish - particularly for about the same cost as online brands and for less than lower quality Kraftmaid product from the big box stores. Shaw also provided guidance on the quartz counter tops and arraged for their installation. His contractors were polite, professional, on-time and did beautiful work. Again, for about the same cost as the box box stores. While we aren't 100% finished (still need to install the range top in the island and some lighting), we are thrilled with the result. Thank you, Shaw. We'll be back when we do the laundry room.
