Like many others, we had a great experience with Pandora Kitchens and Shaw in particular. He deserves 5-stars, for sure. We wanted a premium quality update for 20 year-old kitchen, but had a tight budget. After getting some eye-popping bids from contractors that wanted to do everything or nothing, we decided to DIY it and hoped for the best. We looked at all the online, RTA and big box retailers but weren't happy with the combination of quality, price and guidance we found. Fortunately, we came to Kraftmaid Vantage, Pandora and Shaw. Shaw worked with us to DIY what we could and provided help (patiently) when we asked. He had great ideas, but also listened to our ideas. He gave great guidance on configuration, color and countertops. The cabinets were professionally delivered on time. We had one damaged item and the factory didn't cut the oven cabinet correctly. Shaw sorted the problems quickly without issue. We're very happy with Kraftmaid Vantage quality and finish - particularly for about the same cost as online brands and for less than lower quality Kraftmaid product from the big box stores. Shaw also provided guidance on the quartz counter tops and arraged for their installation. His contractors were polite, professional, on-time and did beautiful work. Again, for about the same cost as the box box stores. While we aren't 100% finished (still need to install the range top in the island and some lighting), we are thrilled with the result. It's been a little more than a year since we renovated our kitchen. Shaw was so helpful designing our kitchen and making cabinetry selections. I appreciated his honesty and humor with us as we tweaked my kitchen layout, and patience as we probably tweaked the layout too many times. I used this company to purchase Kraftmaid cabinets at a substantial discount. This was half the price (or less) than Lowes and Home Depot. Kraftmaid was offering deep discounts at the time - it was during the pandemic. I ordered cabinets for 2.5 bathrooms. I started getting quotes from bathroom remodelers but giving drawing and dimentions to Pandora's saved a bunch, and these Kraftmaid cabinets are one of the best. I ended up getting quartz countertops from local sellers so I could pick it out. I didn't need to drive out to Columbia for the cabinet purchase. It was shipped to me on a pallet and my contractors carried inside and did the renovations. I had no trouble, and the proprietor was quite reasonable to work with. Kraftmaid is manufactured in the US and I spoke with them to - had no delays or trouble. I"m planning to call again to inquire about a cabinet in the basement. read more

After a decent process "ordering" the cabinets, our entire experience has been one frustration after another. Nearly our entire (relatively large) order arrived (2-3 weeks later than we were told it would) with major paint // finish issues and several cabinet construction quality issues (uneven face frames, pitted and cracked sides, broken drawer slider). There were also several errors in the order itself placed by Shah. Not enough crown molding, missing shelving molding (though we got (and paid for) 10+ feet of extra shelves and other molding pieces we didn't need) cabinets too big or small, etc. Over the following 10 additional weeks we have received 3 shipments of various replacement parts, all of which have also had quality issues. Doors arriving dramatically bowed // bent, continued finish // paint issues, missing predrilled hinge holes, etc and all of this has been exacerbated by horrible communication from both Shah (pandora) and Medallion (the cabinet manufacturer). We have attempted to give Pandora and Medallion // ACPI Corp an opportunity to fix the issues but this process has dragged on for nearly 20 weeks with half response emails or just a lack communication, items still unresolved and some never even responded to. Shah is a "nice" guy, but he has not stood behind the product or made things right. Instead acting as if none of these issues are his responsibility and as if he is doing us a "favor" for the limited help he has offered. Entering into the 5th month trying to resolve this, this experience has destroyed what should have been an exciting and happy time for our family ... moving into a new home and with an updated modern kitchen. This experience has been one of the most frustrating contract // vendor interactions my wife and I have ever had (and we have renovated 4 homes between the two of us). Did I mention we have 3 kids under 5 and that these issues prolonged our use of a makeshift hot plate kitchen for months longer than it should have taken? Crazy. read more

We went to Pandora Kitchens when we were looking for new kitchen cabinets and a bathroom vanity after water damage in our house. The whole experience was outstanding. Shaw was great to work with. He helped design the replacement kitchen and he gave us a lot of great advice. We were so happy with Pandora Kitchens that we went back and also purchased the kitchen countertops and bathroom vanity top from them. It was a Saturday later afternoon (around 4pm) we walked in and you heard laughter coming from the center of the store-- clearly a conversation going on. We walked around for about 10-15 minutes to see kitchen counter top options and NOT ONCE were we greeted or said "We'll get to you shortly". There was a man who was helping a couple at the desk-- they seemed to be engaged in social conversation than business conversation. We got no help or no acknowledgement at all. Excellent product, excellent installation. We chose quartz that looks like marble with white cabinets. Shah helped us replace lighting for a more modern look. Schedules were met. This was my first/only/last experience with Pandora Kitchens. My wife and I went there for granite countertops for our kitchen. The folks in the showroom were friendly, helpful, and seemed very experienced. The salesperson came out to my house, made rough measurements using a tape measure, and then later supplied me with an estimate, which we accepted. When I met the salesperson at the granite warehouse to verify my actual granite piece, it turned out there were no pieces of my choice there. That was a wasted trip. The second trip on another day to a different warehouse worked out. At that time, I was give a day and time for the template visit. This is when the measurements get precise. I've heard of two different methods..one using a laser, and one with a reticulating arm on a large tripod. The day of my appointment, I rec'd a call from the granite folks asking if they could come out that day or the next....like they were unaware of the appointment. When I told them of the appointment later that day, they said they'd get back to me. They later called and said they could not make it that day, but then the caller was interrupted by someone and then told me they could make it. The person that showed up to measure for my template came with a measuring tape. He took the same measurements as the salesperson did the week prior. He then left. The next day I called and cancelled all work with them and put a stop-payment on the check that I sent as a deposit. My take on this was that the guy with the correct template tool was double booked, and the manager decided to send out the guy with the tape measure for my job. No kitchen walls are square/flat, and they were basically going to cut out my granite without any regard to the exact measurements that all reputable installers do. I've heard that once a granite piece gets to the job site, the common thing for these non-precise installers to do is cut into the drywall of the kitchen to make the granite fit. NOT ACCEPTABLE, given that the precise method WAS AVAILABLE but NOT USED in my case. I was also told that they would transition between a bevel and an ogee at one counter corner and that would be fine. I was later told not to do that by two other granite installers, noting that the transition would not look good at all. This is a TOTAL FAIL. Pandora might tell you that this is not their fault and the fault of their granite subcontractor, but they are still using that subcontractor. They are allowing substandard work to be done. What else are they doing that I cannot trust? read more
