I'd give a zero star review if I could. This was going to be my first time trying this business, but unfortunately the gentleman (man is more appropriate) behind the counter treated me with extreme rudeness and lost his sale. To start, I could tell from his body language and tone of voice that he didn't care to be dealing with me. I let that go and decided to proceed because I really just needed my suit drycleaned. He asks for my contact information, I give it, and then proceeds to inform me that I would need to pay up front, before service was rendered. I've never had to pay upfront for drycleaning and mentioned that to him. He explained that it was a new policy since January, so I asked "what if there was some sort of damage?" Instead of explaining what would happen if he did damage my suit, he responded with "what if you don't come get your suit?" I shrugged it off and just wanted my suit drycleaned, so I swiped my card to complete the transaction. Before I could sign the credit card slip, he sarcastically says "What if I damage your suit..." in the most degrading way. You know, in the tone someone uses when they're implying that you're stupid. I had had enough and told him to forget it and that I would not need his services any longer and requested a refund. He refunded my money, which was about the only appropriate thing he did during my entire visit. Sir, if you are reading this, remember that we are in a small town. Remember that we are in the Midwest, not New York City or Philadelphia or New Jersey, where I assume your customer service skills are on par. Where I come from, especially as a small business owner, customer service is the most important aspect of your business. It is what sets you apart from your competition. I am your customer, not your opponent. Learn to treat potential customers with dignity and respect. You're not the only shop in town, because as you know, there is a dry cleaner literally one block east. They will receive my business from here on out. read more

This dry cleaner used to be located in Buehlers grocery store. I felt like I needed to give a review after seeing what low rating they received. I bought a fairly expensive dress for a wedding this summer. Only to bring it home and realize that there was some bleeding in the fabric dye and I couldn't wear at the last minute. Since I had taken the tags off I couldn't return it so I thought I would try and see if it could be cleaned. I had no idea what the stain was or if there was a possibility it could be removed. I dropped it off and picked it up five days later and to my amazing surprise they had completely removed the stain. They saved the dress that I was pretty sure I had paid money good money for only to be thrown away. Impressed. I'm taking over another outfit today because all my attempt at cleaning the stain have failed and I'm in hopes that they can work their magic again. Update: saved a suit coat from the trash bin. Oil based diaper cream was smeared all down the front. I tried washing at home 1st with no success. Took it in as a last try before tossing it. They saved it!! read more

Intended to have suit jackets cleaned, but when getting out of my vehicle to drop said clothing off, I witnessed the older man, who tucks his shirts into his jeans, harass a woman about her dog using the alley next to their building. Despite her clearly having a bag to clean up after the animal, the man was still exceptionally rude about such a minute thing. It would be one thing if the alley was pristine, but it's riddled with broken glass, trash, debris and other SUBSTANTIALLY worse things than dog pee or poop. Prime example of people projecting their small town mind woes on others. Pro tip, use T&N. It's a block away and they're not miserable old men being rude. read more

I found Minarchek's thanks to the positive reviews, and I wanted to add mine to the chorus. Just this morning, we needed an emergency pressing of a suit jacket for my stepson for a funeral he needed to attend. Minarchek's did it while I waited, soon after they opened for the day. I have been going here for over a year, used to go to the cheaper places. I have not once had, clothes ruined, clothes lost, or the person at the counter act like they don't understand me! Beware - Bought a dress for $ 158.00 from Saks 5th Avenue, the original price was $ 595.00 - Dress was successfully Dry Cleaned, twice, by two different cleaners - I took my dress to Minarchek to be Dry Cleaned - I was never warned by Minarchek that this type of dress could be 'tricky' to clean - Picked up my dress from Minarchek and the 'black' accent fabric had bled into the 'cream' colored fabric - I received no apology, in fact was treated rudely, as if I did something wrong - Minarchek tried unsuccessfully to fix the dress - Minarchek refused to compensate me for the dress (I had the receipt) - I had to actually ask for a Refund of the dry cleaning cost - When I asked why no one would apologize or accept responsibility for the problem I was told by the Dry Cleaner, "I don't think I ruined your dress." I swear that is a quote. - Minarchek called Saks, & told them 'who knows what', but convinced Saks to give me a Refund. I was so embarrassed & will Not be asking Saks to make this right.
