After many months of following Liliya's treatment plan, which included expensive cleanses, supplements, hair tests, pellets, and sound bites on top of her monthly fee, I was no better.  Enough was enough. I had to find more adequate care to find out what I had already suspected, my symptoms were due to menopause. I had mentioned this suspicion to Liliya but she blew me off.  Liliya's approach was fragmented, focusing on individual symptoms rather than addressing the underlying hormonal imbalance.  The whole reason I came to a holistic doctor was to have my body looked at as a whole, and Liliya was not doing this.  I remember Liliya saying that I had "so many different symptoms" that she needed to focus on what was bothering me most first.  Well any medical practitioner who knows anything about menopause would recognize every one of the symptoms I was experiencing as menopause. We're not talking about some obscure disease that no one has heard of.  We are talking about menopause. A period of life that every woman goes through if she lives long enough. She offered to see me even though she didn't take my insurance and I couldn't pay until I got on my feet and was expecting money to come in. To her though, this meant she could charge me THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to see me for a few twice a week for almost 6 months - the regular rate was $80ish, mine would be $135. This would be almost ok for getting help, but I really didn't get any real therapy. Therapy is coping resources, breathing or stress relief techniques, emergency resources for a crisis, help setting up a support system, information for group therapy... Things like that Carol. Talking to you daily about when I may get money to pay you for an hour twice a week is not therapeutic, it's extremely stressful and is a reminder of how bad my life is. In that time I learned many things; that she wants to stop renting and buy a home but needed down payment money, that my sessions would only be me discussing when I thought I'd be getting my money, and then that I would not get ANY type of guidance or help recovering from the PTSD, agoraphobia, panic disorder and OCD I came to her for! The only thing she ever did for me was filled out a couple of papers to help me get short term disability when she got around to it. I didn't get any real help until I found a different program. The worst was when I went into labor early and was hospitalized, nearly lost my son, and missed an appointment. I bet you can guess what happened next - I got an email demanding money! Because when you know you have a patient who is several months pregnant and has health problems, the FIRST thing anyone at all would be thinking about would be rescheduling useless therapy visits, right? So I should have pulled the breathing tube out and pulled out my cell phone out of my a** and rescheduled my appointment to avoid your angry and disappointed emails, phone calls and texts, right? An LLMSW can perform these functions only under the supervision of an LMSW with the Clinical designation. Take these meds and hopefully it'll go away on its own." After seeing 5 doctors multiple times over the course of 7 to 8 months, my mom recommended I fly back home to Michigan (I live in Texas) to see her Primary Care Provider. After hesitation and thinking to myself, "Why would I spend money to fly all the way home to see someone who will probably run the same tests?," I made the appointment and booked my flight. ONE VISIT, ONE APPOINTMENT, and I received an emailed report and phone call of the exact issue, the causes and the treatment. Nurse Practitioner Tamika Morrow was very thorough, professional and was sure to follow-up throughout my 3 month treatment plan that was given to me. Upon completing the treatment, my hives were completely gone. I hate that it took 8 months of wasted money dealing with incompetent doctors who only did surface level requirements but I'm grateful that Synergy Health & Wellness was able to get me back to good health. Great service. Great staff. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone and will be flying back to Michigan annually for my regular health checkins. I wouldn't trust anyone else.
