I do believe there are great Dentists out there and apparently I've found one!! I been seeing Dr. Munowitz since October of 2018 and had my first dental cleaning at this practice. Recently, I was seen for my six month check-up. She is such a lovely woman! NEVER is she pushy! Nor does she throw you a dental plan sales pitch! Dr. Munowitz is not only kind, but rather knowledgeable and truly is compassionate about her holistic approach to dentistry. She uses purified water in her practice and no toxic chemicals are EVER used. No fluoride! No mercury! Unfortunately, she is not covered under all dental insurance plans, you will have to call her practice for those details. Dr. Munowitz removed my mercury fillings years ago. I loved her and the hygienist. It was the best dental experience I've ever had, but her front desk kept making mistake after mistake, so I stopped going there. Years later, I decided to try again because my son really needs a holistic dentist. Made appointments for both of us 6 months ago only to be told two days before that there were no appointments made. I even called back a few weeks after making the appointments to confirm and ask if I needed to fill out any paperwork only for her to confirm the appointments. This is the same problem I had years ago. Obviously the same person is working the front desk. I hope Dr. Munowitz reads this and knows she is losing patients due to this person's incompetence. I went to see Dr. Munowitz for a 2nd opinion on a tooth. I was excited as I was looking for a holistic dentist and I read many positive reviews. The new hygienist attempted x rays but was not successful so the doctor did step in. Before the x rays came back, Dr. Munowitz said that she could see cavities inside my mouth. I was very surprised, as I had just been to my dentist 2 weeks prior and have 4 check ups a year and nothing was said about me having cavities. After the x rays came back, I was told that I had 7 cavities and was given the cost of close to $2,000 to fill the cavities. Being the daughter of an oral surgeon I was advised to get other opinions. I had 2 other dentist and an oral surgeon look at the x rays she took and they took their own and they all said I did not have 7 cavities. Possible 1 but that would even be pushing it. My advice would be to get a 2nd opinion on her recommendations as it may save you a lot of money for work you may not need done! read more

Best Dentist in Cincinnati area! Uses a holistic approach and won't recommend unnecessary services. All natural and no chemicals are used in Dr. Munowitz's practice (no fluoride) and uses filtered water as well. Very knowledge and uses the most up to date equipment and technology. They even have a (support animal) that can sit on your lap if you're nervous about being there getting your teeth cleaned or having a procedure done. Booster the Pomeranian sadly passed away last May (2018) but now they have Sophie. I love that she won't have you do x-rays once a year even if they are covered by your insurance. Let me say right off the bat that I am very particular about who I let work on my teeth. I had an excellent dentist growing up and into young adulthood. After moving to from Southeastern Kentucky to Cincinnati in 2005, I found myself needing to find a new dentist. I can't recall exactly how I stumbled upon Dr. Munowitz, but I'm beyond thankful I found her. She's worked on my teeth several times now and all has gone well. Very well. Dr. Munowitz and her staff are super friendly and there's just generally speaking a good atmosphere in the office. As another reviewer here said, Dr. Munowitz is holistic in her approach to medicine/dentistry. That's important to me--especially since I was previously a victim of medical malpractice and my trust in doctors compromised. I do not want work done on my teeth unless absolutely necessary and Dr.Munowitz has that same philosophy. If it ain't broke don't fix it as they say. The horror stories about people winding up with All in all, I love this dentist. Like most everyone else, I dread going to the dentist. At least I did. I decided to try Dr Munowitz specifically because I wanted a dentist with a holistic view on health but still had traditional training to address (hopefully uncommon) dental problems like fillings. Our dental hygienist was wonderful, kind and welcoming. We loved Christina! She was thorough and informative, she explained everything to the kids along the way and kept them comfortable. Seeing Dr Mindy was also very positive. She is very knowledgeable on finding the least invasive treatment option. We're very grateful to know she has Myobrace options to help prevent the need for braces and she is also experienced with removing & replacing mercury fillings carefully. We switched dental insurance to one that works well with her office because we value their care here so much. read more

Severely disappointed with how far down this place has gone lately. I'm sad to update my review like this, but I feel it's potentially valuable information to others. First of all, after each appointment the receptionist will ask you to schedule your next visit, my husband and I always say no because of how crazy our schedules can be, we never know when we will be available until 1-2 weeks advance. So I told them I won't make another appointment until I know I can. My husband went in for a routine teeth cleaning not long after I, and for whatever bizarre reason Ms. Munowitz decided to do additional dental work he did not ask for, without his permission and then made demands that he pay an additional fee for it PLUS make another appointment to "finish" the work - he said no to both and left. So then about three months later she sends us a bill in the mail for the work he did not approve/ask for plus additional fees for "missed appointments!" Our insurance covered some of the amount (too much if you ask me) but we cannot justify ever giving this business any more of our money or time. I'm also going to be filing a complaint with the BBB. I warn others to find a more reputable dentist. read more

Dental anxiety is real and going to the dentist can be a tramatizing experience. I can say hands down that I never once felt any of those feelings with Dr. Munowitz. One of the best dental offices I've ever been to. I did not have many cavities but had lots of chipped teeth that I felt were very unattractive. Dr. Munowitz has top of the line whitening systems and with no pain at all was able to make my teeth look natural and beautiful again. I am so happy to have found Dr. Munowitz and will be going to her forever. read more

Please save your teeth and your wallet by finding a good dentist. This woman replaced two tiny fillings with two HUGE fillings. They now need crowns. She ruined my teeth. Horrible experience. Great, holistic dentist but consistently dishonest with insurance claims and coverage. Four of five visits resulted in hours of follow up with Munowitz and Cigna to correct claims and billing errors. The last visit was a consultation Munowitz said was not covered. I paid $85 and self-filled (I knew it was covered). Two days later Cigna received a claim from Munowitz and paid $60 more to Munowitz. I found out when I called Cigna about my claim. read more
