Best dentist I've ever had. Claiming, relaxing, matter of fact, and workmanship above most locals. Would highly recommend.

I've visited my fair share of dental offices. Dr. Phuoc Tran's West Chester Family Dentistry office blow everyone else out of the water. Firstly, the building is owned by Dr. Tran himself. Thus, the entire area is kept clean and pristine. The waiting room has a giant aquarium which takes up about half of the wall. It's a salt water tank with many fishes that'll remind you of Finding Nemo! (His kids had a hand in picking these out). Also, there's plenty of refreshments available to you on arrival. My personal favorite is to monopolize the keurig machine and snag a mocha flavored k-cup. The receptionists here are warm and happy. Always energetic, they seem genuinely interested in engaging in conversation. The dental hygienists are equally as fun, making a dreaded visit to the dentist not so bad. The chairs and TV themselves are new and up-to-date. I could easily fall asleep in one of those things while staring at the tv directly above me. Quite pleasant. Dr. Tran is amazing. He's very approachable and amiable. He's always engaged in his patients and is getting life updates. Note: if you want to get him riled up, challenge him to a table tennis match! read more

Dr. Tran's greatest quality is that he genuinely cares about making your smile beautiful and healthy. My mom, sister, and I all visit Dr. Tran for all of our dentistry needs. I hate going to the dentist but visiting Dr. Tran is painless and almost pleasant, as he's a super nice guy and knows what he is doing. Tran focuses on both the health aspect of dentistry as well as the cosmetic aspect and he always has ideas concerning making your smile as pretty as it can possibly be. My sister recently had her teeth bonded by Dr. Tran in order to cosmetically improve her smile and was incredibly satisfied with the results. The bonding was done with a sealant that Dr. Tran reapplies for her (for free) whenever she notices a small chip (my sister is a perfectionist, so this tends to happen a lot). She says she calls the day of and Dr. Tran fits her in. The office features Ipod Shuffles that visitors can choose from to listen to during their appointments and personal television sets at each office chair for client's viewing pleasure. read more

Dr. Tran and his staff are very professional and are great at what they do. I have absolutely no complaints. The facility is very clean and the atmosphere is very friendly. Every time I have been there was painless and intuitive. I have recommended Dr.Tran to many friends and they all have had the same great experience. The patient rooms are very modern with TV's on a swivel so you can watch ESPN (or whatever) instead of looking at the ceiling. The dental chairs also massage you while you are laying down; I don't know any other place that has that. There has been numerous times where the orthodontist or oral surgeon could not fit my schedule and I was in need of attention. Dr. Tran would always be available and could fix what was wrong or relieve the symptoms until I get to see a specialist. Back when I had braces the glue/wire constantly would come off my teeth and getting an appointment at the orthodontist was a hassle. Who likes the dentist? Me! No dreading the routine cleaning here, because it's always a pleasant experience. What I love most is that fact that you see them same hygienist every time. Nina is great! The whole staff is actually, including both doctors. I feel like a patient and not an appointment or number. Nina is very personable and always remembers me. She does a thorough job and isn't afraid to point anything I could or should be doing better. I listen to her and it pays off. Healthy gums, healthy teeth, etc. there is nothing to fear at the dentist if you're keeping up with your brushing and flossing etc. The office itself is very nice. You have a cable tv in your room and a massaging chair. All of the equipment is state of the art, so it's quick and painless. read more

Dr. Tran & his team are just outstanding. I can vouch with 100% certainty that Dr. Tran really cares about his patients. I've had a number of problems with my teeth over the years, and Dr. Tran has always worked me in on short notice (even meeting me on a weekend to deal with a minor emergency). Simply amazing dentist and staff! Dr. Tran is what every doctor, no matter what specialty, should be. Knowledgeable, warm-hearted, really interested in each patient's needs. But he's mainly HONEST...something that has been in decline in the health care field. My family and I will come to West Chester Family Dentistry for as long as we are in Cincinnati. We've been patients since 2009 and after a few bad experiences with other dentists who only wanted to work on the cosmetic part of my teeth, I came to Dr. Tran and he was honestly a ray of sunshine, who appeared when I thought everything was lost!!! I always recommend his practice to all my friends and they end up staying here forever!! Needless to say, his STAFF is simply AMAZING!!! Everyone working there is so friendly, knowledgeable and seem truly happy to work for Dr. Tran, which is always a good sign. Great job, ladies!!! His office is state of the art, always spotless. Always get a second opinion. And be careful. Dr. Tran is charismatic, granted. The office is clean and up to date, true. But, someone has to pay for all that, and unnecessary dental procedures create profit. I trusted the office implicitly for 6+ years (my bad). Four strikes caused me to find different dental care: 1) pressure to have an unnecessary second procedure on a healthy tooth, that required that second tooth be crowned--(treating the first, damaged, tooth was warranted, BUT) not the second, [there were no symptoms, no pain, no discomfort. I went in for a regular cleaning!], 2) a hygienist repeatedly questioned, and openly doubted, an orthodontic specialist's direction for my daughter's crowding, 3) reception phone staff tried to give diagnoses prior to appts ... not possibilities, not maybes, but diagnoses--note: there are only two D.D.S. degrees in the office, and 4) when I scheduled a time to discuss the above, I was told by the dentist to "ask the insurance company for more benefits to cover [procedural] expenses." I am not one to champion insurance plans, but I earned a new respect for companies that cap coverage to prevent plan/coverage abuse. read more

Dr. Tran is the best dentist I have ever seen. I've always had perfect teeth but have neglected going to the dentist for the past 10+ years. After having my wisdom teeth removed, I noticed a few cavities and areas of decay that needed to be corrected. I was so embarrassed when I first met with Dr. Tran, however he and his staff eased my mind and put a treatment plan together that I was comfortable with. I have HORRIBLE anxiety when it comes to dentists, or at least I used to but not any more. Everyone is friendly, their professionalism is top notch, but what I love most is Dr. Tran is happy to spend some extra time with you answering your questions to make sure you are comfortable with everything and to make sure you understand what he is talking about. If you hate dentists, take my advice and call Dr. Tran. I'm actually excited to go to the dentist now because I know they are taking great care of me and that his entire staff is looking out for whats best for me and my mouth. Nina, the hygienist, was amazing and put my mind at ease. I now book my appointments around her schedule because she's so great!! read more

Dr. Tran is a nice and friendly dentist, but you might need to go to another specialist if your teeth is more difficult to treat. Also, last time, when I visited his office, the assistant knocked on all of my teeth to check, ended up with my crown fell out the following day. read more

i spent my entire life hating and living in fear of the dentist... i HATED the dentist. after a traumatic experience with my wisdom teeth when i was 19... i didn't see a dentist for six years- even though i had insurance. and then i found dr. tran! i will NEVER go anywhere else. my hygienest- megan- is AWESOME- and i am now legitimately excited to go to the dentist twice a year! and on my most recent visit- i got to meet dr. boehm- who's equally amazing. if i hadn't found dr.tran's office- i would have never gone back to the dentist. i love this place. i love the people. and no matter where life may take me- dr. tran and dr. boehm will always be my dentists... and megan will ALWAYS be my number 1! honestly... i cannot recommend this place enough. i asked megan to knock my teeth out just so i could back! haha. read more
