Very unique store with a large selection of gemstones. Plus they have layaway, which helps with larger purchases.

This store....has it all!…read more Lots of different things to sell. Toys, relics, religious items, house goods and more. Most had solid pricing. They are a HUGE supplier of fireworks . Wait, people use fireworks other than July 4? Evidently, yes absolutely. . People buy from all around the US. Don't know if fireworks are popular in NM ??? The Godfather. $1100 package f fireworks- estimated would be about 4 hours of a show. They sell about 4-5 of the Godfather annually. I believe him We bought a few on smaller ones, I'm not comfortable with the big ones. Concerned about safety, losing a finger or eye is not acceptable. We used the fireworks that night. Can't take them home to CA! I listed two of the videos. They sold moccasins, but were fairly pricey. $60+. Unless that's a good price, unsure. World famous fudge ...I had to bite. $12 a pound was reasonable. They had 6flavors, I chose chocolate, peanut butter and chocolate with pecan. Fudge was good, but not amazing. Worth getting some, yes. The guy assisting me was super friendly. Chatted about the fireworks and their desert bot (transformer you know! Haha. ). Their mascot , is also available for sale if you are interested. $20k ). Also about his whereabouts, and why he moved from Alaska to NM. Super kind guy. Oh yeah, and it's also a gas station. . So maybe at least come to fill up .

You already know I had to pull over! From the moment I walked into Bowlin's Aleka Flats, the staff greeted me with genuine warmth. The store itself is such a fun place to browse--filled with unique Southwestern treasures like shirts, ponchos, serapes, moccasins, souvenirs, and so much more. Even if you only come for the cookies, you'll probably end up wandering the aisles for a bit. Speaking of cookies... I could see the staff constantly rotating fresh batches, so I knew they weren't sitting around getting stale. I also appreciated that they offered options with and without nuts. We ended up grabbing a dozen because, let's be honest, the price made it an easy decision. Individual cookies are just $0.99 each, but a dozen is only $9. We picked up six original chocolate chip, three sugar pecan, and three chocolate chip pecan cookies. One thing that stood out was watching the employee preparing the cookies while wearing gloves. It's a small detail, but it shows they take pride in food handling and cleanliness, and I always notice those things. The staff was incredibly friendly and even thanked me for stopping by... even though cookies were literally the only reason I came in. And yes, I'm on a road trip, so don't judge me! My kiddos thanked me the second they took their first bite, and that was all the confirmation I needed. These cookies were soft, chewy, fresh, and absolutely worth the stop. If you're driving through, do yourself a favor and pull over. Grab a dozen--you'll thank yourself later. I'll definitely be making this one of my regular road-trip cookie stops!

Yes, geodes cut and polished, as specimens for display. In the front room she had several small geodes on display. Then she took me into the next room where dozens more were on display, labeled and beautiful. She helped me find just what I was after. (see pictures) While I looked at the display cases she offered to open several boxes in back but I found everything in the cases. At some point her husband came in to also help us. Both of the couple were very helpful and friendly, totally refreshing and welcome help. Trina's has a large selection, really large, of everything rocks. The small front room has some finished items and supplies. Then the next room, very large, has display cases for specimens on one wall. On the other wall is a work area with equipment to process rocks. And in the middle are smaller rough rocks of all types in separate open boxes, sized, graded, and ready for crafting. In the back is a large supply of rocks in boxes not yet on display. Outside is a large selection of larger specimens for crafting. The shop is easy to find with plenty of parking out front. I would recommend a visit to Trina's Rock Shop if you find yourself stopping overnight or just driving through Deming. We really enjoyed our visit and found several excellent specimens to take home.

We really enjoyed our afternoon at this rock shop!
