We needed a lift chair for my mother in law and had to get one right away. After going to just about every furniture store in the area, we couldn't get one for at least 3 weeks. I stopped at Minerva's. They had one in stock that was much nicer than anything we had looked at. Shane and Lucy went out of their way to help with our purchase and delivery of the chair. I was looking for a high end, oversized recliner at a resonable price. Found these folks among the local retailers on the site of the manufactuer. I called around and found their Labor Day sale price beat all the others by a mile. Drove to Lodi and was in and out in no time. No BS, or hassles. Finally I got the big, comfortable recliner of my dreams (after so many failed attempts) and a great experience. They also provided a low cost deliver, set up and took my old chair away, so I had zero hassles. They will be my go to dealer from now on! read more

Do not do business here. I did layaway for a floor model table, and had a family thing that made me decide not to get the table and having to move. Finally getting ahold of them , they informed me that they were going to keep my deposit as a restocking fee, and I get no refund or credit! For a floor model!!! Ridiculous service! read more

I had the most wonderful overall experience with this company! my grandmother and I showed up and we're greeted immediately by the sales man named Julio. we knew we wanted a recliner but didn't know much more, he was very thorough and explaining all the different options and what was the best option for us. the price was very fair and we were able to have it delivered the same day. The furniture quality is decent and so are the prices, but their customer service is unacceptable. Twice thusfar they have messed up my workday with a botched delivery (and poor communication of rescheduling), and then not being open during their advertised business hours for a pickup. Regarding the pickup. At the last minute I was able to catch the delivery guys going out the back on their way out to a delivery, and they were nice enough to go grab my item for me. However, the lack of notification of the unscheduled closure is unprofessional. No sign in the window, no updated voicemail. read more

Very impressed with this family owned furniture company. Most of their inventory is high end (FlexSteel) brand. We ordered a sectional and rocker for our Tahoe property and could not have been more pleased with the whole process. The delivery in Tahoe, went very smooth. The crew broke down and removed our old sofas, and installed the new sectional and rocker in very short order. I would order from them again in a heartbeat. read more

Lucy is incredible, she's so nice and helpful and accommodating! My husband and I went in one weekend and actually worked with Andrew first, he was very knowledgeable and patient and helped us out (even though I'm sure I was annoying with my million questions). We ended up ordering a sectional with a chaise, which is FANTASTIC. It's so comfortable and the perfect color and fabric. Both Andrew and Lucy gave us a bunch of tips on how to care and clean for them, as well as what fabric was going to be best for us, as we have a dog who sheds quite a bit. Andrew and another employee delivered to our home, and while I'm usually nervous having someone deliver furniture because of the tendency to bump walls etc, they did a perfect job and assembled everything for me, putting all my furniture around it back in place too. Do NOT buy from these people. I was impressed with their customer service when the loveseat that I bought broke within a month. When it broke again in the same place, I was concerned I brought the piece in and they did repair it again. However, when I went to pick it up, I was told that, "There must be something happening in the home" causing it to break, and, "next time there will be a charge." My profile still says Benicia, but I live local to this store now. I have a four bedroom house with both family room and living room, filled with furniture of varying ages. I have three sofas in addition to this loveseat. The couch that this piece replaced was 10 years old, and when I mentioned that I was replacing it on Facebook, there were plenty of people who wanted it for their homes. There is nothing going on in this home that has or would damage furniture of an even decent quality. The problem is that the furniture they sell is of an unacceptable quality. As I said, I am now living in Lodi despite my profile still saying Benicia. That could possibly be the case with the glowing reviews this store has received from people in San Rafael and elsewhere far away. I suspect that the truth is that those are people who are friends of the family or something. I typically trust Yelp when I am looking for a new place, and this time I went against my instincts. I ended up buying from a store that sells garbage and doesn't stand behind their product. I can't say that I wasn't warned. I hope that you don't make the same mistake. read more

This place is great! Lots of friendly emoloyees. I found a great couch here for my living room for an awesome price. Delivery is only 30 dollars more. I only needed to put 20% down before delivery.. They only carry real genuine wood furniture, none of that fake stuff. All of their furniture is nothing but quality. And they have sales on ENTIRE bedroom sets for 999. I plan to furnish my whole home from Minervas, I love it here.. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Lol read more

Lucy, the owner of Minerva's was very helpful. We just moved here from Pennsylvania and needed some new furniture for our new house. Of course, we went in with one thing in mind but as soon as we saw the beautiful bedroom set she had (on sale) we fell in love with it. Delivery was quick , and delivery men were polite. Very disappointed in Minerva's Furniture in Lodi. We brought over $7000.00 of living furniture. Our sofa and love seat (Flex Steel)operates off of batteries. We had noticed that the batteries needed to be recharge after a couple of days. Doing some research I discovered that the USB plug in is operating all the time. Flex Steel said that there is an upgrade switch that will turn it off. They said that we would have to go back to the store that they were brought at and they could take care of the problem. Minerva's said that they are not responsible for the upgrade and that if we want it done we would have to pay for the parts and labor. I would be willing to pay for the upgrade if this issue was mentioned when we were looking/purchasing them. To me that is poor customer service. They have lost future business from us. read more

I walked in ready to pay in full for an entire bedroom and no one acknowledged me as I walked around. After 15 minutes and no help, I left.

My husband and I went in looking for some furniture we thought that they had a lot of great options as far as their inventory we like a lot of their products. The first time we went in there the man who helped us was very rude. I husband didn't want to go back again, but there was one couch that I was just in love with so we went back the following week and there was a lady in there who helped us and she was pretty helpful. Little to say that the furniture quality from the store is horrible for the price that we paid for our couch and for our mattress I couldn't believe what our couch and bed look like a month later. The couch is so uncomfortable that me and my husband almost avoid sitting on it. Not to mention that it already has a rip in it. Also the bed we purchased has got to be the worst but I have ever slept on in my life we recently ordered a bed on Amazon for our son and it was about $300 for the bed mind you we paid over $1000 for this bed the bed is so dipped my one year-old falls in the middle of it and she can barely get up it is ridiculous that they don't have any type of warranty for something like this. So if you are looking for any type of quality furniture please walk out the door of this place. read more
