Update: it is now Sunday and I did receive a call back from the tech. Unfortunately he is unable to fix the issue and has dispatched an email to his supervisor who is the Network Administrator. The hope is that the NetA can resolve the issue remotely. Update: A Minet tech named Michael came over and was very, very helpful. He looked into their box which contained all of the cables and wires coming into the apartment and was able to locate the issue. He was professional and stayed until everything was set. Excellent service. The following day I received an update email from Josh ensuring that all was working as it should. I assured him that it was. By far the worst internet service provider I have ever dealt with in my life. I have had nothing but problems with Minet. From ridiculously high prices for ridiculously low internet speeds, to non-existent customer service/ tech support this company really has nothing going for them. The most recent chapter in my tale of woe and disappointment from Minet happened this week. I am currently on day 4 of not having internet service due to "equipment failure" and there is no ETA on when service will be restored. When I tried to reach their after hours support staff all weekend, over 10 calls, I was met with a voice recording saying that they knew there was a problem and they had no estimate on when it would be fixed. If Minet can't compete with the reliability and customer service of their competitors, they shouldn't be charging the same price, or in my case more. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. They are terrible. They charge insane amounts for subpar service. I, along with most of Monmouth have currently been without internet service for going on 4 days. They will not give us an ETA of when the service will be back up. It is finals week. Super fast, reliable internet. I have the base internet plan and it streams movies on three screens at once with no lag time. I've been with them for five years now, and I have no complaints. They definitely have a lot less down time than any other internet I have had. Customer service has always been helpful. When I hear what people in Salem are paying, and how little they're getting, I'm glad we have MINET here. read more

By far the best place to get internet in the Monmouth/Independence area. As a student I used Minet for 2 years while living off campus and they were very affordable, never lagged even with multiple devices streaming, and it was an easy office to walk in and get help if needed with friendly and helpful staff. I frequently had 4+ devices on the wifi and never had issues with it being too slow. I would recommend this place for sure! read more

Their service has customer improved a lot. I recently went in for a NSF transaction because my bank made a mistake and I came in and paid with cash on the 20th. Not only did he waive the late fee, but he also put a note in the file that my bank had an issue in case it happened again. Well it did happen again, and instead of charging me they worked with me to get the issue fixed. I'd deal with them over Comcast any day. Though I am not a fan of their new advertising with superheroes, nor am I a fan of their very cluttered bilingual bills. Other than that I have called after hours to get service restored the same night (within 2 hours of calling). Pretty fast if you ask me. read more

Fastest internet on the planet..customer service tho..uh doesnt exist. i think they have a lot of room for improvement in this category. you cant finding any helpful information on their website and when you call youre asked to leave your name and phone number for them to reach you back.. which wont happen for over a day. how they stay in business is amazing. maybe ive been spoiled with more popular providers such as Comcast. read more

When my internet service is actually running it never meets the speeds I am paying for and they constantly have outages. There customer services is only even open from 8am-6pm Monday thru Friday so if something goes late on a Friday like it just did you can expect to not see service again until Monday when they decide to work again. If we had any better options in the area we would definitely take it at this point! read more

BEST SERVICE EVER! I've been a customer of MINET's for almost 5 years now. In that period, I've lost service maybe 4 times. With previous providers, I've gotten the run around and felt as if they couldn't have cared less that my service was down and that it was an inconvenience to me. I've never felt that way with MINET. They've always been super responsive and seem to care deeply about customer satisfaction. Further, I love that this is a locally owned utility. I much prefer supporting local rather than multi-national corporations. I recommend MINET without hesitation! read more

Still a young company and learning, let them practice on someone else! After 6 years and POOR customer service skills from staff like THOMAS of MINET we let them go, never again. read more
