I was really happy with my experience at Mini nails... until I saw my nails when we were done! The lengths were different, some nails were rounded and some were square and some looked like lipsticks (very uneven squares). The gel was painted on thinly with area you could see through it and you can see the paintbrush streaks! There's normally a clean line of polish near the cuticle but it looks messy. The sides of my nails aren't even painted. It really looks like I did this at home, but by using my feet to hold the polish brush. I really wanted to love it and call this place my Eugene nail shop! They were all so kind and helpful and care for the clients, they even brought me a mimosa. Sadly I can't trade a nice experience for 2 weeks of staring at this scary paint job! read more

I went late in the afternoon for a deluxe pedicure. Mimi Thang was my nail tech. Mimi was beyond amazing giving me the very best experience. The salon was fairly busy and the nail techs carried a friendly relationship with the rest of the clientele. The salon was neat and clean and seemed to be following covid-19 protocols during this time. Mimi was kind offering a refreshment as soon as I got to chair, as there is a full serviced bar. This pedicure was hands down the best place I have gone with multiple different scrubs, warm towels, hot stone massage, and an amazing foot massage. Seriously about fell asleep in the chair. I've been getting acrylics on and off for about seven years now, and I can confidentially say that this is the BEST acrylic full set with gel polish that I have ever gotten! The inside of the salon was so pretty and clean, and I was happy to see propped up plastic barriers between the nail artist and customers for COVID safety protocols. Upon entering the salon, if you are getting gel, you can easily grab a ring of cured polish swatches as you wait for the technician to seat you (I thought this was a great system, as I take forever deciding what color to get!). I could tell that many customers there were regulars, as most of them were laughing with their nail techs and catching up - strangers sitting next to each other were chatting as they were getting their nails done, nail techs were smiling with customers, and everyone was overall just really friendly and in a great mood. Aside from the positive atmosphere, I am not exaggerating when I say that these are the sturdiest, thinnest, most beautifully shaped acrylics that have ever been on my hands, and I cannot wait to go back and get a fill. Also, the full set with gel was $41... which is so so inexpensive that what I've paid at other nail salons! If you're looking to get your nails done, I seriously recommend coming here. Wow. My go-to person for mani/pedis for years, Daniel, moved here while I was out of town for two months, so I went to see him at Mini Nails for the first time today. I wasn't sure what to expect. Was I surprised! Mini Nails is SUCH a great place! Don't be swayed by how tiny it looks on the outside--it's actually very spacious, calm, and really clean and airy inside. I like the space even better than City Nails, which is where I went before. Plus Daniel is THE BEST on the planet, I swear. You will not be disappointed. He is super gentle and fun and really really good at what he does. Highly recommended! This used to be my favorite spot but the quality has decreased. I got a manicure that was uneven because she spent no time filing them properly, she didn't clean the nails at all, and the paint began to chip before 24 hours (she did 2 coats, and did not offer me anything to dry, I had to request a fan). Often seems like the workers are rushed or stressed, so I have sympathy for the techs but it's no longer worth the price for me. Shame because this was my all time favorite but the last 3 visits have been mediocre at best. Time to find a new place :/ read more

I'm sad to say that as a customer of 2 years, today was my last appointment at mini nails. I originally asked for medium length French nails, then she cut them quite short. Then, rather than painting the French tip on, she was using the white plastic tip to be the white tip, which would have meant about 40% of the nails being white. So I asked if I could do a solid color, and it was applied in large globs. The thing that sent me over the edge is she made my cuticles bleed then without asking used nail glue to stop the bleeding. I paid 60 dollars for this service, and in the future will be paying 15 dollars more to just go to nail artist rather than a chop shop. If you are looking for high availability and simple designs at a slightly lower price, then this is a good option. A substantial portion of my experiences here have been fine to sometimes good, however there has now been 5 distinct times I've been disappointed. read more

Fairly new to Eugene. Made an appointment for 11/12/2022 and asked for the price of a basic pedicure, no nail polish. I was told $30.00. I was shown to a booth by a young lady who did not introduce herself. She got everything started, water, etc. Never asked what I might need. Proceeded with pedicure but was somewhat "rough". When I went to pay I was charged $35.00. I mentioned to the receptionist that when I had called to make the appointment I was told $30. She gave me an excuse about the phone line being a problem, and insisted that $35. was the correct charge. Poor customer service that way she spoke to me. Poor customer service when she did not honor the price that I had been given over the phone. Why would I make this up. I told her that the Staff person would not get a tip and that I would never return to the business. I have had pedicures all over this country (Chicago, San Francisco, Albuquerque, NM). BEST Nail spot in Eugene in every way possible. The decor, environment and nails are amazing. I've experienced A LOT of discrimination from Nail and beauty businesses in Eugene and Oregon in general. However, it has only been 4 days since my nail appointment and half of the butterflies have came off of my nails, the nail is so sharp that it literally catches everything and not only that, but the gel is literally changing colors from what I chose. If I could give 0 stars I would...I went in for a pedicure and it was probably the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. My nails were crooked, cuticles were uncut, feet were dry, polish was uneven- literally not one good thing about it. I told the pedicurist what I did not like and she did offer to fix it (though she blamed her tools for the bad job...and she did acknowledge it was bad) but I didn't have another hour, otherwise I would have stayed. Being that my feet looked no better leaving than when I came in, I didn't think it was fair I pay for the pedicure. I told the owner so and he was beyond rude, claiming that I received a service and I should pay for it. I left because he was aggressive and I didn't want to cause a scene but WOW. My feet look the same as when I came in and I'm out $30. Only wish I had gotten a picture of the polish before I asked her to take it off. read more

This is the second time I've gone here. Both times were so caring and treated like family. I had done my own nails with a kit and they were in need of help. The man carefully removed my old nails and replaced them with a better set. He warned me not to do the kit again because you can get nail fungus and he just really took care of me there. I was grateful. Prices are fairly self explanatory. They do a good job. You pay for what you get. Wonderful people. read more

This place used to be my go to nail salon. Ever since new management started running this place, it has turned to a disaster. The last two times I got my acrylic nails filled, the person seemed like they were in a huge rush to get me out and did my nails very poorly. Within days of getting my nails filled at least one of them on each hand broke off without me even doing anything so that tells me that they were done very low quality. My four questions when rating pedicures = 1) is the air in the salon noxious? 2) Does it cost less than $30? 3) Does it look good? 4) Does it last? I've searched Eugene for a salon that fulfills these criteria, and I *may* have found it in Mini Nail... This is not a luxury establishment, and the polish color selection is a little sparse. I actually had trouble finding my color. Also, the air was briefly noxious, but cleared up soon enough, so I didn't have to leave. BUT - my toes look good, and the pedicurist gave unexpectedly nice leg and foot massage. If polish lasts a full month, Mini Nail will be my regular place in town, and I'll keep the review at four stars. NOTE: appointments seems to be ineffective, so probably better just to walk-in. There's not much seating space, but the staff is pretty accurate about wait-time so you could leave and come back. Seems to be a family establishment; the atmosphere was bustling and chatty. Business was steady, so expected waits seem around 15-20 min. read more

I hesitated to write this review because Tina did completely re-do my pedicure and it is excellent and I'm grateful. However, I left this business on Wed., 5/11, after a horrible pedicure with Bhai (?) who worked extremely fast and was very rough. He cut my big toe after aggressively scrubbing a callous, and continued working despite noticing the blood. (See photos). My nails were buckled and the polish didn't cover parts of almost all nails. He also had little skill in simple massage and just rapidly pawed my lower legs, aggressively rubbing in lotion. He kept looking at another pedicurist for advice on what to do next--he clearly lacked training. Tina was gracious and professional in repairing the pedicure, but even she rubbed three more places raw on my toes! I've posted pictures. I won't be going back to MiniNails. I've been four times before and had but one really good pedicure. I think I've tried enough. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I called and made an appointment but when I arrived I was asked to wait past the start of my appointment. The woman who did my nails, Christina, did a poor job. Every nail was a different length, hardly any cuticle care, and the gel was painted on extremely thin not to mention one of my hands is completely streaky! You can't even tell I have gel on my nails. I have had them on for 2 days and 3 of my nails have already chipped. I called and scheduled an additional appointment to have them fixed but when I arrived I was once again asked to wait past the start of the appointment time. I've been here many times to get my eyebrows done, and each time I got it done by the owner's wife she couldn't follow my directions on how I want my eyebrows done and messed my friend and I's eyebrows up. She made my eyebrows uneven and took off a large amount of hair off of my friends eyebrow. I would recommend getting them done by one of the workers named Cece or don't go at all. read more

After not finding a salon that was reviewed on Yelp (doesn't exist anymore or has moved "Artisan Hair Design") I was instructed by a friendly receptionist at NOVO who directed me to Mini Nails....a few blocks from this salon she mentioned that most of the Novo employees went there, so I quickly drove over, there were two women working on One customer who was getting a pedicure, they asked me what I wanted, I explained I needed a Manicure and a quick eyebrow wax...they said ok an told me where to wait... I do not speak Vietnamese or I would have recognized the two women's conversation as being somewhat frazzled and concerned.... I was given a bowl of cold water to soak my nails, after...I was then asked to come into the Waxing room as there was a few appointments ahead of me even though they have a "walk ins welcome" sign on their door....so I get One eyebrow done then this woman leaves for roughly 5+ minutes to help her partner with said Pedicure....then she came back and said she was sorry, cleaned up that eyebrow and ran off Again for another few minutes....at this point she mentioned all the "Appointments" again....then after the next eyebrow was Finally done, she sat me back in the manicure chair then started to try and get me to wait longer or come back.... I was so Disappointed with my service thus far, I said why not give me a break on the Price and she scoffed at the notion. I moved here from Oakland, CA wheret I went to my neighborhood nail salon for almost 10 years where the 6 ladies working were super Nice, Attentive and Completely upfront about any schedule changes or discrepancies...not to mention I Have never had to Make an appt for a lil $10 nail salon....
