The process with megan is mind blowing as she coached me through the process of each, especially with developing a logo and branding pieces, something so sensitive and dear to my heart. I felt that she handled my brand as if it were her own. Megan is so great because her service stands up to her designs. During my logo process it was a struggle for me to discern how i felt I wanted my business to be represented. Through my indecisiveness, Megan walked me through the process and guided me on ways I can better portray my vision which ended in a difficult decision on my part because I loved each piece she offered so much. For my wedding invites we chose a collection suite plus a custom address stamp which was so unbelievably painless. She handled the printing as well. Everything was delivered in a timely manner and she gave great recommendations for envelopes & packaging. And the design was pretty awesome on top of the ease. Her passion gets me so excited about the pieces I order, the way my goods came delivered... So adorable! makes you feel valued and you never feel that she's too busy for you... even though I'm sure she is :) I work in the event industry and MaeMae Paperie is my first stationary & paper goods recommendation. Being that this was an auspicious…read moreoccasion for our company we wanted to make sure that we presented it to all of our invitees that way. We were not disappointed. The quality of the invitations were amazing. We used a VERY hefty paper to convey the value of these invitations and the party. Since the party was on the Queen Mary, there was a 1940's cruise line theme. The RSVP cards were even cut to represent a cruise ticket. In addition to the actual invitations we also purchased the design elements so that we could use them for internal marketing. When my graphic designer and ad agency got their invitations they were both impressed at the quality that we received. Mae Mae is a must for any event that you want to convey a sense of importance.

They have a ton of fun knick-knacks, play good music, and I for one appreciate that they're open about where they stand so I feel good supporting them :) Even so, it really isn't their "entire identity" like SOME people say because I actually looked around for more than 10 seconds at their wide variety of items instead of hyper fixating on the things that could maybe make me have a temper tantrum. Even if I felt like something was being "shoved down my throat" which I really haven't yet because I'm not a baby, the door is actually really easy to find so I could simply leave if needed! However, shoving political messages in someone's face when they simply want to shop for little knick-knacks is really off-putting and, honestly, disgusting. And making jokes about churches while simultaneously playing rap music with the N-word in it? It feels so contradictory and unnecessary. You can absolutely be open about where you stand politically without making it the entire identity of your company or shoving it down your customers' throats. Just my opinion. Xo

This is still such a wonderful place with a great selection of music and so many cool retail items at a great value. Expertly curated and displayed. Still, my most favorite record store I've ever been to anywhere! Moved to California 30+ years ago and every time I'm in town I gotta take a peek and do that whole nostalgia trip in my head-if only the walls could talk, OH MY! I love the creaking floors as you walk across the showroom remembering those sounds heard in the basement packing my own orders to ensure in stock items were shipped. The cast of characters that visited and cool musicians- one day Devo came popping through handing out 3-D buttons with those flower pot looking things on their heads and strange jumpsuits. "It's not too late To whip it Into shape Shape it up Get straight Go forward Move ahead" my daughter wore my old jacket from 1979 (in picture) . The nice staff were very friendly and enamored with the jacket and the manager took some pictures which gave my daughter a huge tickle. I think the cat's name is Bob Fuchs and he's been there since the late '80s and a good ambassador of the brand and so kind to indulge us. This is a must visit if you're ever in Minneapolis set aside some time it's worth every minute!

The hours are on the door and they were open but when I went to pull the door it didn't open so one of the staff ran to the door to let me in. I just needed to pull a bit harder. I was on the phone but I was greeted and kinda browsed around a bit. Loved the sticker selections! Really cute and unique greeting cards! I end up just grabbing a pin this visit but will for sure check them out next time I need to refresh my stationary stock or need a card! They obviously do framing as well! Looked like they had a lot to offer for frame options.

Anna the planner/ owner is the most unprofessional,…read moreunorganized event planner I have ever met. she spoke rudely to staff that were workin, she dressed very unprofessional for the events, wearing flip flops and some dress that looked more like a night gown to a black tie reception. She seemed to think that she was a guest and not the planner. Helping herself to several different activities that were going on from a tarot card reader to getting a picture sewn of her. she inserted herself in a very custom parade and seemed to think it was ok to tel family members what to do. Never once said please or thank you.
