I had a very unpleasant experience with the cashier (ID: USU202) at MINISO Novi. She was extremely rude to me and behaved inappropriately by openly flirting with my boyfriend. I chose not to say anything at the time because she appeared to have a possible disability, but that does not excuse her disrespectful behavior. My boyfriend also found her actions gross and was clearly uncomfortable with the situation. If this cashier continues treating other women the same way, it won't just hurt your store's reputation--it could eventually lead to bankruptcy. No business can survive when customers feel disrespected and uncomfortable. read more

A pastel Sanrio explosion. You can find everything Sanrio here, along with Japanese snacks. My favorite items were the Care Bears backpacks. It connected with my inner child because I had a Care Bears lunchbox growing up. I resisted buying anything, but it would have been hard not to go wild in a store like this as a kid. Parents of Sanrio fans need to be prepared to spend a lot of money at MINISO. read more

They have a cute selection of items and lots of blind boxes. I made the mistake of walking in there at 5:40pm on a Sunday though (they close at 6pm) there was only one person working, and she yelled "we close in 10 minutes" walking in with my kids. Someone walked in a minute after and she yelled to them they close in 5 minutes. That one she yelled so often others in the store were repeating it and laughing. We were quick to get in line, and when we got up there the cashier asked if we had a member account, I said no and she gave me the total. I then asked if I could sign up for one, and she asked me to scan the QR codes on the way out. I said ok, how can I add todays purchase to the account thinking there'd be an easy way since she suggested I do it after, and she blew out an exasperated breath and said she'd have to sign me up then. I told her that was ok and I didn't want to cause her any inconvenience and she just told me the total once again, no other words. I've worked retail in the past and I understand it's Sunday night, you want to get out of work and go home. But I couldn't get over how rude she was about it. It was beyond obvious she didn't want to be there and wanted everyone out. We cashed out at 5:51pm and by then she was barking "we're closed" to anyone who even looked at the doors walking past in the mall. Based on this experience I think we will be keeping to Pop Mart only in the mall, they were so much nicer there, and not barking at customers. read more

This store is absolutely atrocious. No customer service at all! They refuse to accept returns, even with proof of purchase on brand new unopened items that were bought the day before. I had the absolute worst experience with a new cashier at the Novi, Mi location: dark hair, spiky bangs, young, Kuromi hoodie. She could not have been more rude to me. She had absolutely no idea how to do her job, could not operate the cash register. She refused to allow me to speak to the manager, claimed she was the only one in the store, would not allow me to get an exchange or pick out something different. I've never been treated so badly as a good customer! I'm furious! Miniso. you have lost me as a customer forever! Fire your incompetent employees and management, do better!!!! read more

This place is cute, cute, so absolutely cute, I can't take how cute it is. There are so many items of cuteness I don't even know where to start coming in here. So much packed into a small space. I love that they have Sanrio, Disney, and Peanuts. I love the Snoopy makeup bags. It is such a fun aesthetic, I love it. You could spent an hour here just looking at what they have to offer before then deciding what you want to buy. I want to buy everything. The only thing I did not love was the lack of prices on the items. I like to know how much things are in order to budget for what I want versus what I can afford. I had to ask and the employees had to scan the items, which they were willing to do, but it makes it hard to shop if I have to ask about each price before purchasing. But this is a must visit place every time I come to the mall. I look forward to getting so many cute things. read more

Visited this store from Ohio. Our first time as 10 y/o daughter proclaimed it to be on her "bucket list". As a Sanrio, etc. fan, there was no shortage of items she liked. Probably could've spent half the day there. We had picked up about $100 worth of stuff. There were signs all over the store with a promo that says "spend $30, get $5 off." To maximize our savings, we had intended to split our $100 purchase into 3 transactions - between myself, wife, and older daughter - to get $15 off. I get to the register for the first transaction and was charged a total without the discount. I asked and was told "Oh, that promotion is old. We have to take those signs down". I looked at the fine print on the sign and sure enough, it does say that the promo was for May 3 only. The day was already May 12!!! More than a week after the promo and the signs are still up!! WTF! I asked "why are these signs still all over the store, guys?" Response? "Yeah, we have to take them down". Naturally, I was annoyed. Then my wife overheard them talking amongst each other saying "some guy is complaining about $5". Uh, yeah... when you're buying $100 worth of stuff, that's $15 and 15% off! We bought what we needed, and later met some friends in the mall whose kids also wanted to go to Miniso after seeing my kids with their stuff. When we returned, guess what? The morons still hadn't taken the signs down. Cool store, and the employees were actually friendly otherwise, but just a bit inept. read more
