I paid for 1 item on 1 order to get the coupon and I was able to get that 10% coupon emailed and I used it on the rest of my items which was $100+ that I had to pay for. However, based on the cleanliness, selection, and overall customer service, the Rancho Cordova location only earns an average 3-star rating from me. Located at the Zinfandel Plaza and tucked in between Olson Dr/Folsom Blvd in the heart of Rancho Cordova, this particular Marshalls neighbors their main competitor, Ross as well as a Target store amongst many other retailers and eateries. As many of you know, Marshalls specializes in a variety of department store items; mens/womens/kids apparel, home furnishings, bath & body products, luggage, jewelry, purses, bedding, housewares, and quite a bit of food/coffee. I see them as a slightly more affordable option than their sister store TJ Maxx. If your focus is more towards items for the home (excluding clothing), HomeGoods has much of the same items (but in a much larger variety) while all being part of the same ownership. Out of the few times I have been here (which is mainly during the weekends), I've noticed quite an abundance of customers at any given time. However, their store isn't quite the cleanest as I've seen several articles of clothing on the floor, fitting rooms that look messy, and as much as this pains me to say this, lack of customer service. Retail brick-and-mortar stores like this don't staff a lot of employees which leads to more complaints about a business than actual compliments. Finally, for the majority of their merchandise being new "name-brand" items, there is only a small handful of brands I am familiar with; mostly Calvin Klein, Nike, Ralph Lauren, and Michael Kors. As of 2025, you can get a complete outfit for under $50 which is a nice shirt/sweater, pants/shorts, flip flops/shoes as well as a pack of tees and socks. I am very happy with their towels, bedding, and bathroom items as their quality holds up quite well. All in all, "Marshalls" is a decent place to save a few bucks but nothing special. Therefore, I am rating their (one and only) Rancho Cordova an average 3-stars.

No toilet paper in any stalls and no soap in any dispensers. I did what I could... then when shopping for the goods, found the best toothbrush ever: say "avada kedavra" to the cavities and plaque building in my mouth! This was my first time in this location. I found them on the map when I was googling craft supply…read morestores in the area. We were coming from Aerojet way and this was the closest store. It's located behind the Target Shopping Center off of Zinfandel. So conveniently located off the freeway which is so good for people on the go. They are located in a strip mall, with lots of parking. It's a private lot for the entire strip mall. We got a space right up front which was nice. I was wearing heels and I didn't want to walk farther than I needed to. Soon as we walked in we were greeted by a sales associate. We asked where the yarn and needles were and she gave us the isle numbers and pointed us in the right direction. We quickly found the yarn section and there were so many variety. We picked some brown variegated, a small skein. It was the cheapest variety that they sold. We were tying a quilt so didn't need any of the fancy stuff and boy did they sell fancy. All different materials and weights and sizes of skeins. Next we looked for needles and they were exactly at the isle the sales associate told us it would be. We first saw only one variety, the ones for generic sewing. Then we kept looking and found the curved ones for quilting and the straight ones with the big eyes for quilting. We bought a pack of both just to make sure we had the right ones. I didn't want to get one and wish I had gotten the other and then have to trek back. We don't have a Michael's where I live so it would have been a trek. We ended up using the curved ones. I've never used them before and they were magical. So much easier then the straight ones. They did the work for you. Check out was smooth. We were second in line and the guy in front of us was quick. The price was pricy and we didn't use a coupon. I didn't think till now to google their 40% off one item coupon that they always have. Oh well we got what we needed and the project was a success.

They had a few Halloween items out still - including a $7 pumpkin throw pillow that I couldn't say no to. They also had their Christmas stuff out already which I thought was crazy - it's not even September yet! This location has a huge clothes area - bigger than the one at Arden I think. They didn't have anything different in the premade food section, but we did pick up their salmon that is always a hit in our house. Loved seeing the packs of Witches Brew Alani for $20! Of course I picked up a case. Overall, staff were friendly and helpful. Not sure if we'll be back to this location because it is out of the way, but I'm glad we stopped in.

They have premade foods, the meat is high-quality, and the bakery is awesome. They also have the optical shop and the hearing aid center. I've never had to have my hearing aids, serviced there, but they always have the batteries I need at very decent prices. Everyone I have dealt with at the store has been very friendly. Of course, you have the samples, the only problem with the samples is, they may lead to an "impulse buy." but hey, that's why they are there, right? I have Gotten some great things before after sampling them first. It works....... There's also the whole rotisserie chicken for only $4.99. The rotisserie chicken, as well as the hotdog and soda, are what they call " loss leaders." they lose money on the item, but they use it to lure you to come in, and buy lots of other things. The gas station is very large, at 24 pumps. I usually don't have to wait more than a few minutes. Plus, the gas prices are great, and it is definitely very high-quality gasoline. The attendant there if you have any questions, or you forgot your card, is always very friendly and helpful. The food court is awesome. The ubiquitous buck 50 hotdog and soda, the pizza is great, and while it is definitely an acquired taste, I really like the chicken bake. Today, for the first time, I tried the chicken strips. Five humongous strips, for only $6.99. They were lightly breaded. I don't know what their "secret blend of herbs and spices" is, but the breading was delicious, and the chicken was moist and tender. They also came with a fantastic honey, mustard dipping sauce. I barely made it through half of the order, and I was stuffed. The rest came home for another meal. They reheated beautifully. I don't like the way they run the food court now, though... In the past, you just walked up, ordered, and paid at the window. Now, you have to walk up to a kiosk, scan your membership card, order whatever you are going to order, pay, and then the machine spits out a receipt to take to the window. When I was there today, it was after lunchtime, they still had some 10 people in line waiting to pick up food, and only one person working the window. The food is good, but it can be a little bit inconvenient to get said food. Other than that, I love this store. I will continue to come back.

I loved all the options. Great prices, which are affordable, too! The man that works there is very nice, polite, and helpful. We loved talking to him while we were window shopping. He has a charming smile that makes us all happy to shop there comfortably. I definitely want to come back as I am interested in buying a blanket there and a firm pillow that I would like to gift to my dad. Overall I want to come shop here again. I was always curious about shopping in this store in the past but always came by when it was either closed or I did not have time to go in when I was passing by to grab my groceries at Smiles. I'm glad I was finally able to go this year and see what I have been missing. The store is a bit tight when looking at things, but I don't feel as overwhelmed when I look as it's very general and basic to the point. The store isn't big like KP, but I feel it's easier to look around without feeling overwhelmed, if that makes sense? Small, yet intimate to get the time you need without feeling as though something was overlooked. It's all self-explanatory, all in eyes view without over looking at all the products.

Staff is always helpful. Parking is probably the biggest challenge to no fault of B&N. Books are at msrp unless you pay for the b&n annual club membership which can save you a discount if you buy enough books here to offset. People will always ask why not just get it on amazon for cheaper but I still like to go and support these bookstores and find stories and books vs look online..maybe it's the old fashion treasure hunting and flipping through book summaries and covers that we find intriguing ...to past time by...but it's something I enjoy doing with my sons and that in itself as rare as it is...is worth it to me!
