I dropped on into this Costco location in Rancho Cordova only after going to the Folsom location and bailing out. Well actually I couldn't easily find a parking spot at the Folsom location. Folks were parking on the side streets. That's when I figured if the lot was this crowded, I dare not go inside. I trucked on over to Rancho Cordova. It was not nearly as crowded as Folsom. But the customer service was off in the strangely irritating way. It started with the man standing at the membership scan machine. I didn't pay attention to notice if the card was scanned, so I went to do it again. He ejected his hand inches from my face and shouted Good. No he didn't, but yes he did. Then the woman folding clothes came next to me to refold clothes. Like right next to me. Elbow to elbow. Odd. Then an another staff person came charging at me with a pallet cart. And stopped in a screeching halt less than a foot away from me. Ugh. The redeeming customer service came from the cashier. She salvaged my experience to bump up the overall rating to 3. Anyways this Costco has the similar items as others. It has a gas station, optical center, pharmacy, tire center, heating aid center,, and food court. Ahh Costco, lol. If you know, you know. I always take a deep breath before I come in here. So I came in today for three specific items, all of which were small. I also had a rewards check I was planning on using. I didn't really need a cart for what I wanted to buy, but you know how it goes there. You always find something you didnt know you needed. So I actually stuck to my game plan, and got the three small things I needed. I then head to self check out, where I ring up all my items and then try to use my rewards check. An employee comes over and explains to me that I can only use the rewards check in regular check out, and not in self check out. Kind of a pain because this is not stated on the check itself, and the regular lines were much longer. So I get in the check out lane closest to the self check out area. Just my luck, I get stuck behind the only Costco customer in a decade that decided to pay for all his crap with cash. So I wait... When its finally my turn, I place my three items on the belt, and keep the cart on my side. When its my turn, this rude little employee with gauges in her ears and a profoundly terrible tattoo on her chest informs me that the cart needs to go on their side. Why? I have nothing bulky. Makes no sense. She informs me that the pathway between the regular check out lane and the self check out lane is too small, and people can't get by. As such, carts need to remain on their side. Yea, she needs thicker glasses. There was PLENTY of room for someone to get by, even if I keep my cart with me. Plus, this employee had plenty of time to inform me of this before I got to the front. She wasn't even the one doing the checking out. Not sure what her purpose was, actually. She didnt seem to be doing much of anything. Anyway, because of this illogical order, and her lack of observation/communication skills, everyone in line had to back their carts up so I could bring mine around to their side. A little communication and common sense goes a long way. It would have been nice if this employee exhibited either. Do better, Costco! read more

Sending yet more Yelp love to a Costco Wholesale Warehouse. I find myself at the Rancho Cordova Costco (White Rock) location more than my closer Folsom Costco. While Folsom Costco is closer in miles, I can actually get to RC Costco faster due to crazy Folsom traffic. Also my favorite Hearing Aid Specialist, Michael, transferred here from Folsom to be the Manager of the Hearing Aid (HA) Center. He is very knowledgeable, calm, and patient. Thank you, Michael, for all you do to help your hearing aid clients hear well! Also a shout out to Rusty. When Michael was on vacation, I had the good fortune to meet him. He fitted me for a new hearing aid. He explained in easy to understand details everything about the new HA. He inspires confidence for sure. Thanks, Rusty! What a great team they make. I also like the Optical Shop here too. Knowledgeable and friendly employees. While I am giving out compliments Victor (P. or D... I can't read my writing) helped with my Costco app. He is a great tech guy for sure. And always willing to help. Another shout out to Chris O., who was soooo patient when I had a mess of a return he had to deal with one day. This is simply a great Costco! And I am truly grateful to you all. November 23, 2025 - Rancho Cordova. We shopped at Costco this week as Executive members -- the early 9:00 AM entry was a huge perk. Even though there was a line when we got there, it moved quickly once the doors opened. With the store being less crowded, we were able to work from our list efficiently, pick up some bonus items not originally on the list, and check out in about half an hour. Having that extra hour of calm made the trip faster and more pleasant, and I really feel like it adds value to the Executive membership. read more

Yes we have a Costco addiction but as long as we still have money to buy stuff I figure we don't have a problem yet. So I have been to this particular one twice when I come into town to see the Airshow. It is set up like most and follows the typical layouts you will find in a clockwise direction. It is on the larger sized outlets. While the hunt for unique local items was unsuccessful, as expected, the staff is the typical friendly and on point. It also is well designed as the gas station is far enough away to de-conflict the main parking lot Aside from that as always we have rules we follow The RULES! 1) NEVER EVER go in hungry. That 25 gallons of dill pickle chips is much easier to resist on a full stomach.... true story there. 2) Avoid the free samples. People seem to lose their minds with this stuff. They abandon carts with crying babies, block isles, etc all to get that tiny portion of hummus. I have been shoved aside by someone desperate to get a free piece of cheese. Honestly I have seen more dignity from actual starving people in a disaster zone but I digress. 3) Avoid the weekends like the plague. 4) See #1 5) Go often. Costco uses alot of psychology and the fear of missing out is one of them. Odd items you must have pop up then go never to return. I CAN'T MISS OUT AGGGGGGG 6) Know your codes: At costco any price ending in 0.97 means it has been marked down. Any price that is not a 0.99 or .97 such as say 0.49 means it has a manufacturers discount. and price with an * aka "The Death Star" on it means its done and will not be reordered so stock up. If it ends in a .00 or a 0.88 a manager has reduced the price at that location to clear it out. 7) When in an unfamiliar city head to the Costco. They always stock local items you can't find at yours (like two pounds of single origin Kona coffee for 30.00 at the Kilaua / Kona store etc.) and have cheap gas. (Same on Kauai) read more

Still a solid Costco location. We were able to get a decent parking spot and stopped in for a few items. We were mostly looking for staples that we can always find at Costco, so it was a smooth trip. There were a few things that our local Costco has that we didn't see here, but no problem since they are more seasonal/limited items. We also noticed some items here that we hadn't seen before, like a new sriracha poke flavor. It was busy, but we were able to get through our shopping relatively easily and the lines didn't take too long. The person at the register helping us made some small talk and we were out in no time. read more

We are a big Costco fan. Whenever we are in an area where there's Costco, we always come check it out. We happened to be at a friend's new home. We stayed too long and decided to come get some snacks for dinner. We found some cheese and crackers for an appetizers. We found some cucumbers, tomatoes, and salad bags for our healthy wholesome with a few thick cut ribeyes. We found cookies for dessert. We walked around checking to see if they stocked something that our go to location didn't have. Overall, a great store. Employees were friendly. Lines moved quickly. Parking was tricky due to busy time of day. read more

This Costco store seems less crazy-busy than some of the others in town. It's always clean, orderly, and people don't drive in the parking lot like maniacs. The food court staff has always been courteous and professional in my encounters there. (Therefore, I've purchased more Costco pizzas there than at any other in town!) Review #989 Posted on 1.12.26 We came here to get gas and stopped inside for a bit to use the bathroom and pickup a few snacks and a quick bite from the food court on Sunday the 11th when in town for my kids soccer tournament. This place is an old school Costco, my guess is this was a price club first back in the day, a tell sign of that is the food court being outdoors. The parking lot even is a trip here as they've got tons of trees and little paved out curbs with rocks and stuff in the parking lot. Gas station was up to date, with 3 pumps per side to make sure you get in and out quick. I could see the food court being an issue when its freezing and raining or scolding hot in the summer as far as people not wanting to sit in lines like that. But love the old school feel from this location. read more

Food Court Review! They need a better system! Why did I wait 30-40 mins for 1 whole pizza when they had so many pizzas sitting out. The other costcos Ive been to did first come first serve. They had a TON of people waiting for their pizza orders when they had so many pizzas ready. The people who ordered ahead weren't even there to get their pizzas yet. Instead we had a crowd just standing there waiting for half an hour. This could be easily reduced if they just handed them off as we came up to the windows. Prepping for the next batch as they go- especially knowing how many whole pizza orders they are getting in real time. The pizza I waited for for 30-40 mins was also SO CHEWY and TOUGH. im not sure what happened to the quality this time around but I was very disappointed. read more

I enjoy coming to this Costco in the Sacramento area compared to the other Costco's because of their wide variety of samples and great customer service. The employees who work the check out area are so kind and friendly. They take their time to try and get to know the customers. I appreciate that. Although the customer service and eye area seem smaller than other locations, this Costco still has a lot to offer customers. I went to the Costco in Rancho Cordova and headed to the self-checkout like I always do. One of the employees directed me over to a register, so I followed his instructions. Suddenly, another worker named Mia yelled at me as if I was doing something wrong, accusing me of cutting the line which I absolutely was not. The same employee who guided me over immediately stepped in and explained that he told me to go to that register. Even after knowing she was wrong, Mia didn't apologize, acknowledge her mistake, or even look up from her iPad. The attitude and lack of accountability were unreal. Overall, just horrible service from Mia. Costco employees should treat customers with respect, not jump to conclusions and refuse to own their mistakes. read more

The service here is terrible. I was at the self checkout today when the an associate named Robert approached me and started ringing things in my basket. After he had scanned the first item it stopped the transaction to ask me to renew my membership. Robert (who never introduced himself or even acknowledged me) just pointed at the screen with a grunt and raised eyebrows. I opted to renew the membership (reluctantly) and he started scanning again. Then finally he speaks and sternly directs me to scan the rest of the items I had in the cart myself. Well Robert, ..I.. you buddy! I could not find a way to leave feedback other than using the app that I do not have yet. This is what happens to service when they are inundated with customers to the point that they can be rude without a care of loss of that customer. read more

I drove my client, of whom is disabled, to this location. We needed a handicap scooter. The shopping experience went ok however on the way out the scooter stopped working. Mind you, it's 96 degrees outside. My client was stuck half way out to the parking lot. I immediately ran over and asked one of the ladys that was checking receipts to help. The one I asked was of asian decent, older woman. I want to be sure I'm specific because she was extremely rude. She had "zero cares to help." I was absolutely shocked, she totally dismissed me. I had her attention, told her what happened. She looks at me, then turned around and kept checking receipts. A man literally got out of line, cut before everyone to help us. Unbelievable. What good is an appointment for the tire department when they run an hour late ? Terrible customer service still waiting as we speak.

This is the Costco we visit the most. We like to Park on the side where there is always ample parking and not a lot of traffic. (Uh oh, I hope I didn't give away my secret lol). Seems like even when the store is super busy, it's still pretty relatively easy to navigate throughout the store. I like that! The deals you get at Costco are always amazing, yet, when you check out your bill is always a bazillion dollars hahha. But you know where you can really save? The food court! Love that food court, saved my thoughts on this portion of Costco on a separate review of the food court. A shout out to all the staff! As long as we have been going here (around 3-4 years straight now) every staff we have encountered has been pretty darn nice and courteous! These guys do it right!! Kidos to the upper management for hiring great team members and for their great training! Ok, that's all I have to say about that (for now). Oh, actually, the only thing I wish they had was either the Nissin, Maruchan or Nongshim Bowl cup Ramens!! I don't care for the instant ramen they sell there :(. First time trying their take and bake 4 meat pizza. We are regulars at Costco as longtime members finding amazing value in the wines, spirits, and all other products. But this was a first and if I hadn't been in a time crunch I'm not sure I would've even tried it. Boy would we have missed out if I hadn't. It was delicious!! Baked on our grill due to the heat with a healthy sprinkle of Johnnys garlic seasoning and dried oregano on top before baking on the grill. In spite of hubby having to change out the propane tank midwayish it turned out golden brown and delicious. I was super worried it would be greasy with pepperoni, soppresseta, sausage and meatballs but it wasn't AT ALL. I topped mine with some fresh basil which made it a chefs kiss. I had to make myself stop eating...it was that good and better than our local pizzeria or Papa Murphy's take and bake. I will be buying it again soon and frequently. Run don't walk to get one. I've only visited this Costco once, and we enjoyed our time there. In their opinion, my kids like their croissants more than any other location because theirs is crispier. We came on a weekday, so perhaps I have the wrong impression, but the food court seemed pretty orderly and not so crowded. My only negative is that it's quite dim in the aisles. Visited today ONLY for the $1.50 hot dog special - with onions, only to be told, "I'm sorry, no onions today." Could someone tell me why, in a store with AT LEAST hundreds of pounds of onions in the produce section, that no one could bother to get some and chop them? Also, I got the last pump of relish. Maybe it was just "my day", but I don't understand why, since you just began serving onions again, it is so difficult to have them for the customers that like them. I know, I know. In the scheme of things, it is a minor thing. Like, where else am I going to get a bargain like this? The best update is the new gas station at this older Costco in Rancho Cordova. The latest add-on of the gas station is not as busy as another Costco gas station in the Sacramento area. This Costco store itself is one of the oldest stores in the Sacramento area. It looks outdated. But the store is still spotless and well organized inside. This is a less crowded Costco. I enjoyed shopping here more than in some jam-packed Costco stores. I can spend time with the items I'm interested in without feeling rushed. The shopping experience is better than most Costco, especially on the weekends. The food court is in the outdoor area in front of the store. Very uncomfortable! I don't think I can enjoy my food right next to the driveway in a busy parking lot. I'll probably just order to go at this location only! read more

Look, they don't have everything, but when they have something I need, I gotta get it from here! LOCATION: One of them largest parking lots for any solo business. Never had a problem finding a space. Right off the main streets. A little tucked away, but that's Sacramento. DECOR: Warehouse shopping. Less about the looks and more about the goods. PRICE: Incredibly reasonable fire the amount of product you get. There membership really is with it if you ship her regularly. DRINKS: I actually don't get any drinks here. Don't know why. They don't have a larger selection. I also don't think they have almond milk and I'm lactose intolerant. FOOD: Let me tell you some golden items on my list. Turkey burger patties at 30g of protein per patty. Honey smoked salmon filet. The Tri-tip. Gala apples. Ketchup and mustard. Restaurant gift cards because it's usually done deal like siege $75 for a $100 gift card some pretty good places. SWAG: Electronics are good here because the warranty policy is ridiculously lenient. STAFF: Kind, professional and thorough. Ya. Those people at the front door be all over receipts and checking member cards. Lol. EXPERIENCE: I wish they had more. I like too go to one place to do all my shopping, but they just don't carry everything I need. I definitely get all my meats here. Best price and selection. read more

Costco gas stations are generally super busy. This location is no exception. The waiting is worth it though! The lines move fairly quickly, there are multiple pumps, and for those that need help, there is always an attendant near by happy to help. If you're not a Costco member, it may be worth becoming one just to save on the cost of gasoline. The new station ( adjacent to the old one) will be opening soon. The new station has easier to use pumps! read more

This is for their food court: I have called this location several different times. Each time they have never answered, or on the rare occasion they do answer, then they hang up the call. 1 out of the last 5 times I've been successful at getting a live person and placing an order for pizza to go. It makes it very inconvenient when the next closest Costco answers on the first try and can always take an order. read more

Had such a great experience at this location's tire center. Pao was super helpful and went above and beyond to help me out with my flat tire. Great customer service and quick turn around as well! The inspection probably took ~10 min or so and the tire swap out another 10 min. Overall process took maybe about 30 minutes or so but I also was the only one there when I got there on a Wednesday night ~7pm. Super thankful for his help and highly recommend this location for the tire center! Also this Costco seems to be well stocked with inventory as well. read more

This is a great place to buy gasoline, as the price is normally cheaper compared to other gas stations in the area. So my family and I always make it a point to top up when we're in the area or about to go shopping at the store. The fuel lines are long enough to allow you to carry gas on either side of the pump too! The store has always been our go to place for regular grocery items... meats and fish, veggies, and other food items. The quality is great, and the quantity is sufficient for a family. Of course, the groceries are oversized, but they are reasonably priced. You might buy a kitchen towel pack that could last you for ten years, at least! The store is clean and shelves are well stocked (except for that one time when there was a mad panic for toilet paper... people don't probably have bidets installed). The staff around are quite helpful, and will even go out of their way to lead you to the place where your item is. Nice! I highly recommend this place for your en mass shopping requirements! read more

While the area is growing quickly, there is still ample parking and last year they debuted their new and much larger (!) gas station! This Costco is a must visit! read more
