She did not try to upsell me (whereas some places will) and recommended that I go for the cheaper option of trying out the express lash set and add more if I wanted for my lash fill. Each fill I maintained a full set with a mix of 2D and 3D, I loved it. It was easy to get ready in the morning and many people complimented my lashes. They also provide a cute kit with a lash wand to brush your lashes and a facial sponge to better wash your face. The only feedback I would have is to give me more information about lash care, the card was helpful but I had to find out myself how to remove makeup and take care of them properly. My natural lashes did unfortunately get damaged and became extremely short after I removed them but I believe that should be normal.

Heidi made sure to explain the process fully and carefully created the colour that I was looking to achieve. To help her with the colour I had in mind, I brought the lip tint that I normally used. She then crafted the colour with her pigments and ensured that I was happy with the colour prior to applying it. Keeping in mind that everyone's pain tolerance level is different, I did not feel uncomfortable or in pain during the actual process (numbing cream was used before the process begun). Heidi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire lip blushing process. Upon completion, she thoroughly explained the healing and aftercare process. Again, keeping in mind that everyone's skin will react differently, my lips were pretty swollen after. However, as advised by Heidi, the swelling subsided after 2 days and the whole healing process took about 6 days for all the scabs to come off. Thank you Heidi for doing such a wonderful job!

I heard that the guy who works at tang tang is also very good. My friends request for him when Lucky and Emily are busy or off that day. The people who work there are very nice and help each other out, which is really sweet. The people there take their time to do a good job, even though it's extremely busy at times. I suggest to call in to book an appointment instead of walking in. This salon is a good location to go to if you're looking for the Korean jewelled nail trends. But they can pull off basically anything you show them. Tang tang also has a loyalty card. When you reach a certain amount, you are eligible for a free jewel on your next walk in. Which is really nice since the jewels start at $5+ each. Another thing to keep in mind is that they ONLY do gel nails. They do acrylic removals for $10. From my experience going to tang tang's, I think their goal for long term clients is to maintain good and healthy growth in their clients nails (like all genuinely good nail salons). There have been a few times where my nails have cracked or broke from my own faults, but the ladies there suggested to only fix the broken nails rather than scamming you for a brand new set. If you have any concerns on damage to the nails or things you are unsure of, don't be afraid to voice out your worries. The ladies there fully explain to you the process and give them their opinions (if you ask) on the best nail maintenance and which options are the best wait to prevent breakage. Out of all the extension places I've tried (more than a dozen in the GTA), Tokyo Beauty Studio is the ONLY place I've come back to. I've been coming to them for a couple years now; Whenever I go on vacation and don't want to deal with the hassle of falsies/mascara, you can find me here. There are different technicians, but everyone is excellent. They're perfectionists and meticulous. I can tell them what I'm looking for - and they'll definitely deliver. Unlike other eyelash extension places, they always understand what I want before putting lashes on me. Best of all, these lashes LAST. The full look lasts around 3 weeks for me (Which is a miracle. Admittedly I do rub my eyes, use cleansing oil, the whole shebam.) I don't want a "I bought $1 falsies from eBay and stacked them on my eye" look. What seriously surprised me is how light and fluffy they are - I expected heavy lashes which I can barely see out of (which is what my heavy mink lashes feel like) but nope! Even when you touch them, they feel like real thick lashes. My mom can't stop touching it and I've had mad compliments in the one day I've had them on. Tiana told me they're high quality lashes from Japan and you can definitely see and feel the difference. I am absolutely in love with the results! My short straight Asian lashes were transformed into the wispy fluttering lashes that I've always wanted! They looked completely natural as well and I received many compliments by friends and family on how great my lashes looked! First off, the atmosphere inside Moss was clean and fresh, and their lash stations were located in a very pretty area at the back of the store that was nice and cozy. My lash tech did a great job in making sure I was comfortable the entire time, and explained what she was doing so I was never in the dark about what was happening (even with my eyes closed haha). I got the Love Classic set and the whole process took just a little over an hour and a half. At one point I was so relaxed I ended up falling asleep! I will definitely be coming back to get fills when I can, and would gladly recommend this place to anyone wanting to amp up their lash game!
