Make sure to make next appointment while you're waiting, everyone leave 5pm sharp. waiting room is available on the first floor Inc vending machine. But I highly recommend to bring your it own snack if you can. In the neighborhood, it's hard to find something to grab unless you can go to 95-93rd street.

The call center has no idea what they are doing and book wrong appt on wrong dates. I come in for a mamo follow uo and the front desk badgers about insurance. After getting changed and ready to see the tech the tech says they scheduled you a month too early. We count from January and not December when your last appt was. Does not even make sense!! This happened to another persok as I was in the waiting room as well. Last week I had to wait over 1.5h to be seen for a pelvic ultrasound and their excuse oh the system had a glitch. You are seeing me wait!! Horrible and sich lack of service!! Oh front desk response to when I said I am changing hospital. Everyone is equally bad as Mt Sinai

After the procedure I met with Dr. Chikwe to discuss my options. She took the time to answer all questions from myself and my family. I decided to have the surgery, a quadruple bypass, and it was scheduled for 4/1/2019. The day of the surgery, I was prepped and ready for the operation. She met me and my family before it started, went over again what to expect, her reassurance took most of my anxiety away. The surgery went much better than expected. It was quicker than expected and I awoke in the cardiac icu without issue. I was in the hospital until 4/6/2019. While in the hospital she checked on me daily, after she had seen to her other daily duties. I never felt alone or in need of any explanations as to what was happening to me during my recovery at the hospital. I am recovering wonderfully and much better than I had expected. I owe my life to Dr. Chickwe, and will always be in her debt. Her knowledge and skill are only surpassed by her humility and compassion. I would recommend her to anyone who needs any cardiac surgery. If you are in need of a cardiac surgeon, please take the time to meet with her, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for everything Dr. Chikwe

Oh by the way, the prescription line is an answering machine, and no one will get back to you. I tried to get a simple prescription filled today, and it was a complete nightmare. My pharmacy also tried to call them twice to unscrew a prescription that didn't come through, and they were sent to the pharmacy line as well. Believe me, I spent 6 years in the Army, I am not thin skinned, and I am used to a rather callous medical system. These ladies are bad even by New York standards. Too bad really, she would be 5 out of 5 if her office staff weren't so atrocious.

After only having one physical in 12yrs I was nervous, I went in wanting to finally speak with a physician who could give me the attentive care regarding my health which was well over due, (by no fault of my own but by lack of affordable healthcare) so here I was, hoping to get better treatment than I ever experienced with Medicare because now I was able to buy my own insurance.. I really needed an attentive, caring and compassionate doctor and that is hardly the way Dr Levitt runs her practice. First off the man infront is nasty and aloof, he comes off with the type of brash condescending arrogance that you only expect from an HRA office.. Secondly they got my height wrong, by a whole inch. When I pointed it out to the nurse, (afterwards looking at my paper, at the end of my visit), upon noticing the error she asked "Oh, is that a big deal to you?" uhmm.. yes it is it changed my whole Body mass index. Now regarding Dr. Levitt, not very intimate. She looked at a computer longer then she looked at me, didn't want to shake my hand, and the exam was brief, without a neurological test, (after telling her I had Ménière's disease!!) she didn't even check my reflex, or not even touch the tip of my nose with my index finger. Maybe she doesn't like inspecting men's genitalia but its her job, and she didn't... its was as if she felt I was diseased until she did a full panel test which she WASN'T going to do unless I had requested (keep in mind 2nd physical in 12 years) and to top it all off, this evening, after work, I receive a bill from her office asking for a meager, (but for me out of principle) requesting 15 bucks without telling me why. When I called Mt Sinai I was told its was for talking to her for 3 minutes about smoking.... Thats right ill re-literate she send me a bill for 15 dollars for talking to her for 3 minutes about smoking............ I'm still beside myself. This woman is hardly a doctor anybody deserves...they only human beings who deserve this kind of health careLESSness is Putin, Al Assad, Kim Jong Uhn and Hitler, and Napoleon, and khan..and all horrible people in history.

If it's truly that bad, why did they go there in the first place? I visited the ER once, several years ago, out of necessity after accidentally cutting my hand at a nearby café. They cleaned and dressed the wound, gave me an injection (I assume to prevent infection), and I was on my way. The doctor merely took a look; a nurse handled the entire procedure--doing so neatly, efficiently, and most importantly, with a friendly attitude. The whole process, including registration, took just over an hour. My insurance covered all the costs; I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket.

My mother is diabetic with complex medical needs, yet her blood sugar was not monitored during this entire time. She was not given water, ice chips, or IV fluids despite the extended stay. After her initial bloodwork was drawn, we were told it had to be repeated due to compromised samples (a breakdown of her blood cells), which further delayed care. Communication and responsiveness were inconsistent. From an optical standpoint, it looks very bad to see staff members at numerous stations, exchanging in laughter or social dialogue while patients are waiting so long for care. One nurse specifically was dismissive and did not respond appropriately to my mother's needs. She informed us that she was not our assigned patient and her tone was unacceptable. When I respectfully raised concerns and careful not to cause a scene, I was interrupted and dismissed by her walking away from me. It was only after requesting the charge nurse that attention to my mother noticeably improved. Additionally, after the morning shift change, no physician rounded for several hours, leaving us without clarity on updates on the results from the numerous tests she was instructed to take. There also appeared to be lapses in basic safety protocols--my mother was not properly identified as diabetic or flagged with appropriate alerts or wristbands. At this point, we were not aware of what her levels were since she was not monitored for it in efforts to prevent any crisis other than for the reasons she even went to the ER in the first place. While not all staff were unkind, this experience highlighted significant gaps in monitoring, communication, and patient safety that should not occur in an emergency setting--especially for vulnerable patients. I hope this feedback leads to meaningful improvements.

To summarize, Garland Lee, PA, has been treating my blemish over about a month and I can't say enough praise but to write here. The right treatment, superb communication, great office, staff, scheduling, billing, everything has worked out just right. Their honesty, clarity, being clear about billing, and overall thoughtful make this practice a high recommend. To be fair, minor downsides are waiting 10-20mins/visit (they're very busy, get there on time or, better, 15m ahead of time especially on the 1st visit to process the intake paperwork which recurs each time until insurance is successfully billed), not always getting the doctor, not just Dr. Sherry Shieh who's on long term medical leave her many fellow doctors make for confident treatment and knowledge. I know dermatology is either optional or deferrable, but not only did my situation show how preventive care not just emergency treatment can save pain, emotions, time, and money, but the professional standards of the doctors here have made me respect and follow their dermatological medical advice. At first it seemed like the shoulder was going to take a long time but then Gregory told me to go see my orthopedist for one more shot and that one more shot combined with exercise and massage (did I say Gregory has magic hands?) made all the difference in the world.
