People had lots of negative reviews due to the change in their operations (previously only pay for the Apple and not the entrance fee). Let's face it the inflation is real and the farm is now operating as a business. The farm is well kept and maintained, there are more activities for the kids to play with, and fun rides. There are few tractor rides, spinning apples, jumping pillow, corn maze, petting zoo and lots of farm themed toys. I especially want to give a nice shot out to Rick. Not sure what his role is, but he was so kind and helped me find my valuable that I lost not once but twice in a spans of 48 hours I appreciate his help. read more

We enjoyed spending the day at the apple orchard. The information on what was included with the tickets was not clear, but we purchased the tickets so that we would have more options. The ticket price for adults was around $18. It includes the corn maze, games, farm animals, going to the orchard although you have to pay for a bag to pick the apples and a few other options. Many of the apples were too high up or on the ground damaged but we found enough variety to fill our $12 bag. The store was a nice addition with plenty of things to choose from, the nonalcoholic cider and donuts were delicious. We loved seeing the animals but were disappointed that we could not pet or feed them. Overall it was a good experience. It is very expensive. The bright side is buying a ticket will get you in for the entire season. read more

First of all they have plenty of parking which was nice on a busy day. When you are walking up to the front they have signs saying buy tickets. We immediately did. If you don't plan on doing activities you don't need the tickets. Meaning, if you are wanting to enjoy some cider, donuts, and shop at the country store then don't buy them. If you want to do the maze, check out the orchard, do kids activities, etc then buy the tickets. This is not stated on the signs leading up. I enjoyed the store and shopping. They also have a bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic cider options. This is where I grabbed the Ferguson's Hard Cider Slushie, which is made with half cider and half slushie mix from the machine and topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and an apple cider donut. I didn't find the slushy part, as mine didn't seem icy. It was a hard coder with whipped cream and a donut. You can also get this as a regular non-hard cider option. Still tasty if you enjoy coder. If you pay for admission into their Apple Blossom Park/Apple Orchards. They have a ton of things to do inside, largely geared toward kids. You can enjoy the pick-your-own apple orchard, pumpkin patch, wagon rides, corn maze, corn pit, and much more. The grass was really high in the orchard and we kept stepping on mushy apples we couldn't see. So that was awful. Also, the corn maze isn't as open and clean as others I've been to. I had stuff all over me when we got out because some rows didn't have the space for you to walk through without getting plants touching you. I think if they did a better job keeping up with the things I'd come back, but I'd rather go to other Apple orchards and mazes at this time. read more

We had soo much fun here today! It was our first time visiting. We came on a Saturday at about 11am. It was filling up quite quickly, but with so many people I felt like there were so many fun activities spread out that it didn't feel like too much. My kids are 1.5 and 4 years old and loved it. Corn maze, animals, bubbles, slides, playground, corn pit, tractor rides, basketball shooting, apple cannon, and the list goes on! We spent 3-4 hours and still didn't do everything! It's awesome you can go again later in the season with your ticket. The drinks were awesome and food was so good. We also came home with some pumpkins as well (I believe they were $5 each) and you can use a wagon to bring them back to your car. There was something fun for all ages. Will definitely come again before the season is over! read more

This is my favorite place to go for apples for years and years and years. I've been going here since I was a little kid. This year based on the website I showed up with my family planning to just pick apples and not pay the $15 plus per person to do all of the facilities and activities. The people in the Apple barn said that we could just pay for the bags and pick apples like we always have. When I got up to the entrance to pick apples the person at the gate informed me that no we also had to pay the $15 per person plus the fee per bag of apples so that we could pick apples. There is no budging on this point and I feel like $100 for a 12 lb bag of apples is a little bit expensive even though it's a good experience. Unless they change they're either prices or policies this is not a place I'll go back to. read more

So much fun with the family, staff was helpful and made getting wristbands easy, cider is always the way to go and was so delicious! Big barn had lots of good fresh salsas, jams and picked apples, otherwise buy an empty bag and pick your own apples, atmosphere was so great to be surrounded by so many families enjoying their day, apple shooting cannon, kids play village, pumpkins bounce mat, jungle gym, corn maze, petting zoo, ride along tractors, big tractor ride, sunflower patches and live music as well when we went on Saturday, and tickets are $18 but they are a season pass so we will for sure be going back for more fall fun! read more

While on vacation in October 2023, my wife, daughter and I went here with my mom and sister. When we arrived it appeared that there would be a lot of stuff to do but on the day we were there, a lot of the stuff was closed. We still had a good time though. They had a corn maze, apple picking, two giant inflatable pumpkins to jump on, a corn pit and many other things to do. They also had some goats and other small live stock. My friends and I had a wonderful time here; we're visiting from Texas and wanted to immerse ourselves properly in fall vibes. Loved seeing all the color of the changing leaves around us as we drove in-- it's all very scenic and I snapped a lot of photos. Plenty of parking from what I could tell. Nice shop with a variety of apple products, as well as a bar where you can get many yummy ciders (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). They also sell pastries (I especially recommend the cider donuts at $1 apiece), pizzas, and other hot dishes. They were mostly done with apple picking for the season (mid-October), but they were able to find us a patch that had some trees with apples still on them and took us out via the tractor pull wagon. Charged us $10/bag. Was kind of slim-pickings, but we had fun nonetheless and found enough to bring back to the dorm. =) They tasted quite good (sampled 'em right there in the orchard, of course). A decent amount of activities to do here as well. We bumbled our way through the cornmaze, blasted a bunch of apples from the apple cannon, played in the small pumpkin patch, and visited the farm animals (chickens, pigs, sheep, peacocks, and a goat). There's a play structure for kiddos to enjoy as well. We had to wait quite awhile for the apple cannon's tank to pressurize before we could use it though. There are restrooms tucked away behind one of the buildings with plumbing, but port-a-potties are also available. read more

Minnesota Harvest has really stepped up since it was bought out by Ferguson's. We had stopped by several years ago and it was okay. This year there are a lot of new attractions. It's a fun fall festival that I enjoyed with the family. It has the apples of course, as well as hard ciders and baked goods. It also has a corn maze, corn pits, animals, apple cannons, and fun play areas for kids. The entry fee is a little steep at just under $20 per person, but gets you in unlimited times the same year. It's worth the price of admission to check out the new ambiance. read more

We ventured here for our Halloween pumpkins and gourds. The facilities were beautiful on a nice fall day. There is a large outdoor seating area and a big building with gift shop, food area and hard cider bar. The struggles we had were figuring out pricing, where to purchase pumpkins that were outside and no shopping carts to use to carry them in. We found out you purchase at the hard cider bar, but would have to wait in line with the others purchasing drinks. There was an area outside to purchase a bag and pick your own apples. It seemed very expensive, but we decided to buy the honey crisp that were already picked. They were the best honey crisp we've had! We actually ventured back for another bag a week later! We tried a few ciders and were pleasantly surprised they weren't super sweet. Pricing was standard to most ciders by the glass. They have a cute barn cat that wanders around. It was so cute. We will be back next year and hope it will be easier and we will bring our own cart in preparation. read more

We have a usual rotation of places to go for Halloween/fall farm fun. This was our first time here. We had a great time here. We always get to these places early as there seems to be a tipping point where they get packed and super busy. We went right for the bouncy/air-filled stuff. My son tossed himself around like a rag doll for hours. He laughed the whole time. I liked their bouncy things because they were huge flat surfaces vs a bounce house where kids are constantly colliding. Their setup gave the kids lots of space to move around. This is important when you have toddlers and you don't want them to get mauled by a bunch of 8 and 9-year-olds. We also climbed on the bails of hay and went on a tractor ride. Before heading into the store, we headed over to the playground. It is just a typical city or town playground, but you know what? Kids don't care and have fun anyway. We finished our trip in the shop where we got my son a tractor toy and we got some donuts. read more

Took my daughter for a day at the orchard! She had a blast. Very family friendly. We picked apples, enjoyed the corn pit, petting zoo and all the treats and drinks! Parking is a nightmare if you go later in the afternoon. Get there when they open. Staff are friendly and ample given the acreage. Great place to bring the kids, they have rubber duck races, the big baskets for bball, they have corn pin beware of dusties lol, they have the climbing area , animals nearby, the bubble blasting area great wind for some good bubbles, the apple blasting so fun and worth it they have the rides around the farm they have this big spinning apple the little enjoyed that as well! Just so much fun and I'm not a fan of beer but they have this apple cider flavored one that tastes so good it was special but not the regular sorry I can't remember name but I would sip it again! This apple orchard is well worth the price of admission and then they add a season pass for free to come back as many times as we want until they close for the season. Our grandchildren had so much fun with all the activities ( they range from 2 to 14. Our youngest loved the corn pit, bubbles and cow train and our oldest had fun with the apple cannons. We all enjoyed picking apples and wagon rides So many fun things to do can't wait to go back next week to do more. Oh the apple cider slushy with whip cream and a donut are a must! As I drove into the Minnesota harvest Apple Orchard, I gasped. The fall colors are fabulous! The drive in is spectacular and one of the prettiest streets I've seen in the fall. I love that there is NO admission fee! We went on a nice day in October. It was Saturday so it was extremely crowded! We waited about 20 minutes for a hayride. The cider donuts are sold inside and outside. The large ones are only one dollar apiece! There's a corn maze that's five dollars per family or three dollars per person. You can slingshot and Apples or use the Apple Canon for a fee as well. Pick apples for $20 a bag. I love that they have Free samples inside so that you can decide which is your fav before you pick. We have been going here for the past 6 years or so and I believe this is the third owner the orchard has been through during that time. The orchard is now called "Ferguson's Minnesota Harvest". A lot has changed since we started coming here. The first huge change is that the orchard now seems to be more an event type place, like a Sever's, rather than just an orchard. They have made some improvements, added some attractions, and cleaned up skunky pond area. It's a great place to do family pictures too. They added an area with cute little sheds/playhouses and we were able to get some nice pictures of our kids. The apples as usual are fantastic. They have tons of varieties for pick your own. We picked mostly Cortland and Haralson. Better signage would be helpful because there were some areas that indicated two varieties and I really didn't know which was which. I appreciate that the orchard was purchased by a family who wants to keep it an orchard and not houses. I would like to see them succeed, however I really don't love their business model. Charging $15 admission per person and then charging another $15 or whatever it is for a tiny paper bag of apples is a huge rip off. We are there to pick apples, my children are teens and aren't interested in a corn pit or trampoline. Under the previous owners, a good sized plastic bag for pick your own apples was $20 and there was no admission fee. Now it's an event attraction, with stuff for the little kids, but really not worth it if your kids are older than 10. You still have to pay money for some things like the apple cannon. I am sorry to say that we probably will be looking for a new place to pick apples, which is so sad because Minnesota Harvest really does have the best apples. It's just doesn't make any sense for us to spend $75 to pick a bag of apples. We did go on the moo train and rode the tricycles, but it was more of a "we paid for it so we better do something" activity for us. I don't like giving low reviews so I am giving them 3 stars because they are making improvements and I am sure if you have preschool age kids, they will love coming here a few times this fall with the "season pass". Again, we just like picking apples so it doesn't make any sense to come back in another couple of weeks to get more apples. We have a lot of apples. I don't think we need any more apples. By the time we finish them the season will be over. read more

This orchard USED to be our favorite. This business is now owned by a different group. The nearly hour wait for tickets to enter the orchard and it's activities took way too long. They had plenty of lines open, they just weren't moving. Two things I think were going on. 1) trying to move to setting up online accts (so you could use the free season pass that came with your admission) in an area with little to no internet & cell service. 2) it seems like a good deal or idea to have a pay once for admission all season but the wait to get a wristband for admission was so awful I'm not sure if we'll be back to use it. The food and drink lines inside the building were so long. I waited 40 minutes in a line to find out most of what we were wanting to order were sold out. No signs on menu board, I wasted 45 minutes all to get a few cups of cider, The Apple cannon line was so long because the staff would let you pick which apples you'd like to blast out of their air powered cannon. We'll of course each kid had to pick just the right ones which added quite a bit of avoidable waiting. There's meager signage at best indicating which variety apples are where and the tractor ride was much shorter, nearly pointless IMO. We had to walk further into the orchard part of the business than where the tractor would drop you off at the one and only stop. I'll perhaps give the new owners one more year to figure this out a little bit more before we look for a new favorite. Today sucked. read more

I've been seeing a lot about the place recently so we decided to check it out on a Sunday about an hour after they opened (10:50am is when we got there). Well, it kinda felt like that scene in Santa Clause when Jack Frost takes over the North Pole, turns it into an amusement park and there are people EVERYWHERE trying to get tickets, trying to get in, trying to figure out where to go. One big thing is not having been there before, a sign telling you where to get tickets from would be great. All I kept seeing were signs saying something along the lines of, 'Stop now. Fee required beyond this point.' Anywho, we got our tickets and we're asked if we wanted season passes. My husband said, "no," but I asked the girl if they were included -- I kept reading everywhere that the admission cost includes season passes. She said they were -- okay then..she had just worded it in a way that was confusing. I filled out the thing and from my understanding we now have passes? Who knows. Fast forward to being in the orchard, again very busy, but we were able to find a lot of spots where we could pick apples away from everyone else. So, that was really nice. (For that reason and that reason alone, they are getting 3 stars). We tried the corn maze -- very, VERY uneven ground in there. I understood at the end why others had parked their strollers off to the side. Now, here is where it gets fun...we had been there for a couple hours and we're hungry. We decided to try their pizza and get a couple of ciders. Well, I hope you like waiting in a line for your whole life because that's what is going to happen with those cider and food lines. Helpful tip: go outside to the cider tap booth. The line goes a little faster. Anywho, we both had the Bourbon Lite -- neither of us were big fans. It was oddly bland. We then got in line for food and when we get to the front are told it will be 45 minutes for a pepperoni pizza. Um, what? This pizza is a personal size AT BEST. I asked if the chicken tenders and cheese curds would be less time, she said maybe 15-20 minutes. We went with that and we're given a buzzer. Well, over an hour went by and nothing so, I went inside and waited another 15 minutes in line to get to the front to be told that they're out of cheese curds (they were "disintegrating" in the fryer) and don't know where my chicken tenders are. I asked for a full refund along with all the other people behind and in front of me. We ended up leaving right after that and getting food on the way home. To say the new ownership has some stuff to figure out would be an understatement. I drove 40 minutes to check this orchard out and while there were some nice aspects, it was also pretty disappointing. read more

Y'all. The apple strudel stick is AMAZING. My friends got the cider donut which is $1 a pop and absolutely scrumptious! We were all saying we were glad we didn't get a dozen because we would've eaten them in one sitting lol! I got the cider mimosa, which is also SO good. My friends got the Happy Cider and the Cherry Cider. The Happy Cider is what you'd expect a cider to taste like. The Cherry Cider was more cherry than it was apple. It had an interesting aftertaste that I didn't really care for, but my friend really liked it. It's pretty tart. The sunflower "maze" is not really a maze. The sunflowers are really short so you can see over them, and the maze is home to a lot of bees. Like, A LOT. (Save the bees though!) However, they make for a great photo op if that's your cup of tea! The apples are growing pretty well and there are quite a few to pick from. Like most orchards, you're probably better off going deeper into the trees to pick, but there are still a lot to pick from. read more

One person in our group got sick and couldn't attend with us, asked if we could get a refund on the $19.00 ticket and manager Rick was rude with his response "No Refunds"!!! Cute and fun place! A couple other reviews mentioned this. You do not have to pay to have access to the shops. Other activities are additional money, we did like the Apple cannon but activities are a little expensive on top of the admission fee. We had a lot of fun walking around and seeing things! Highlight was definitely the Apple code slushee with donut on top! I am still thinking about the donuts... they were selling my favorite brand of Apple cider, peppin heights, however I am not sure if they actually make it there. It would be a bummer if they were just selling other peoples Apple cider (especially at $12 a gallon). read more

We all work on the weekends so we went during the week which much of the extra activities (such as mining or apple canons) only worked on the weekends but besides that we enjoyed picking our own apples, the corn maze, the wagon ride, and the small games. We used to come here every year but this one will be our last. New ownership and everything is pretty much Nickel and dimed. You have to pay admission and then pay again for apple picking. You have to pay to do any event with kids. Lines are long and the quality of food has gone downhill. I would avoid this place for now unless the new owners change there style of making this as expensive as entering valley fair. read more

Updated review! Minnesota Harvest is now under new ownership. While most things remain the same, a few key things have changed and I think it's important to include them. There is no entrance fee/parking fee anymore! That was a giant drag, and I hope they can maintain that for years to come. The food barn/center is a bit different. The small trinket shops and walk in apple cooler are gone (it was sort of a walk around annex hallway) but I don't suspect that space will remain vacant forever. There were fewer baked goods and etc to take home, but frankly, I don't think that was ever a major selling point of this place under previous ownership so I don't think it's a major loss in any way. The food is sort of quick concession food you'd expect: Apple brats, nachos (made with doritos, yes), hot dogs, brisket, a few other things, and hot and cold cider (among other soft drinks and coffee). They haven't changed anything about the food set up, and I do recomend - especially if you have kids - that ONE person wait in line while the family or friends sit at a table (tables are long church basement tables so don't expect to sit alone). They accept credit cards at the food area! That's a major plus. However, they had apple tastings up at the food counter.. Which means all teens, parents, etc who wanted to taste apples to pick were also inter mingled with the chaotic line waiting. My best recommendation would be to move the apple tasting. What they drastically changed is the cider area! And all the better, this needed a modern pick me up badly. I hope new owners can bring that upgrade feel to more of the interior of the food area. I didn't get any, but have in the past. What was noticeable was the bartender (who I suspect is the owner) explaining everything to eager listeners, offering samples, and really adding that dose of maturity parents crave when doing non stop children's activities on a Saturday or Sunday. A half peck, roughly 10lbs, was still $20 for U Pick which is pretty much the going rate at any Orchard with family activities. I'd know, because I called 8 this morning. What sets MN Harvest apart is not charging an entrance fee, making this one of the more affordable options. There is still a nice corn maze, and possibly the addition of an apple cannon.. If you have young kids, they will go bonkers for this. Bring cash. It's about $5 - 15 for a good number of apples to hurl at a broken down truck. On the opposite side of the parking area is ponys. Much to my son's chagrin we didn't get to do those. Included with your U Pick is a tractor trailer ride to 3 stops to pick apples. Pick at one, or all three. The apple varietys were posted inside the food barn, but unlike previous years, they no longer hand out a flyer that says what's at each stop. That's fine, I'm sure paper was ending up all over the Orchard - but a sign at each tractor stop would be helpful too. For now? Take a photo on your phone of the white board inside the food barn so you can reference it when you're on the ride. Tractors seem to cycle every 5 - 8 minutes which is perfect. read more

The new ownership made a lot of improvements. It's way more than an orchard now. They have tons of activities for kids to do and they can get very busy, so go early. The admission price is a little shocking but it's for the whole season. You also pay for a bag to pick apples and take home, but they encourage you to try apples before taking them home. An impressive set up and scenic location clearly help solidify Minnesota Harvest as one of the Twin Cities' autumnal destinations. Ample parking and trees for picking, plus lots of fun areas to explore. The main barn has lots of fresh baked goods and hard ciders, but be sure to pack your patience. Lines are confusing and poorly marked. Poor communication between and amongst staff only makes things worse. My friend and I literally stood in line for 45 minutes for cider and baked goods. Although everyone was wearing a mask, I cringed at the packed space. Seems like a COVID community spread event waiting to happen. read more

We should have known from the website that this place was going to be hard to navigate. Once we got here on this really nice fall Sunday afternoon, the place was ridiculously BUSY! Maybe this was in part due to a private event. When we finally found our way to the "Apple Lodge", the sign outside didn't match up with the information inside. It was super confusing and every line was long. They were charging $10 for a U-pick bag, which being so late in the season we wouldn't have done. However, they indicate that everyone over 10 needed to pay for an orchard pass at $5 each, so we figured we might as well. Annoyingly, the one and only map was a crappy hand-drawn one inside the lodge. And... it was totally wrong and completely useless. None of the landmarks were marked correctly and only a few of the tree rows were marked with signs. You had no idea where you were allowed to pick! In the end, it probably didn't matter because there were NO good apples to be found anywhere - just small, high or holey apples! RIP OFF! Maybe this is a place you go earlier in the season with the expectation that you'll be lost, confused and surrounded by throngs of people. P.S. The corn maze wasn't that great. read more

I came here yesterday just to visit the market, but was under the impression from the website and all the signs with QR codes in the parking area that admission is required just to get on the grounds. I paid the $15 before I even got out of my car, but was able to freely walk into the market. I guess I'm out $15 because I have no plans to actually go into the orchard - and they say no refunds. :/ read more
