This was my first visit to Willow Creek Emagine. I've been to another Emagine before, but I honestly wouldn't have known this location existed if I hadn't googled nearby theaters. It's tucked away near a residential area and a few businesses and from the outside, it kind of looks like a church to me. Once inside, it felt like a proper movie theater. The gal at the ticket box was chatting with a co-worker when I walked up, so I had to interrupt to get helped. Concessions were right there, which was convenient. The staff member who assisted me was fine. She was more transactional than welcoming, but not unfriendly. Popcorn was good as always. I love that Emagine offers real butter (note: it's an extra charge, but worth it in my opinion). One thing I'd suggest: the staff should ask if you're a rewards member. I had to request to have my phone number entered and initial transaction to be cancelled, which felt like a missed opportunity for both sides. It took me a moment to figure out where our theater was, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. Clean theater, comfortable seats, and a good movie to top it off. Overall, a solid experience. Nothing particularly standout about the service, but the comfort, location, and popcorn made it a decent choice for a movie night. read more

This is our new go-to theater! I don't know why it took us this long - a much better experience than most other theaters in the metro. PARKING Huge free parking lot makes it extra easy! PRICES Cheap! $11 for a regular ticket, but they offer $5 Tuesdays - WITH a free popcorn! SEATS The star of the show: suuuuper comfy, large reclining leather seats. These are crazy comfy! And they're not super cramped - well spaced out, and it doesn't feel like you're rubbing elbows with your neighbor. FOOD/DRINK Prices were on par with other places, so we had no problem getting a two drink and large popcorn combo. The drink cups are HUGE, and the large popcorn is massive! They have those fancy soda fountains where you can mix and match your own with lots of options. PLUS they have icee machines with four flavor options! With the purchase of a cup, you can get either - and refills. SPACE They have a cool lounge area with bar seating, tables and chairs in the middle, a party room, and I think 11-12 different theaters. The seats are very comfortable and recline. We had some popcorn and it was exactly the way movie theater popcorn should be. This is my absolute fave movie theater. It's hard to go anywhere else. It has super comfy seats. There's a bar and tasty food options and they can bring food to your seats. Reasonably priced drinks and food from kitchen. I love the cheese curds and want to try the hot chicken sandwich next time. They remodeled recently so it's even nicer than it already was. It's just the right size, intimate, and never too busy. My favorite chain theater in the metro! I think the Emagine prices are around the same as (if not slightly cheaper than) the AMCs around town, and the theater experience itself is exponentially nicer--I love that they have the recliner seats that go all the way back (and some of them are even heated!) The EWC in particular also has some very cool programming by the local folks at Cinema of the Macabre/Genre Brain Melt--have gotten to see some really fun and lesser-known horror films on the big screen that are on par with the fun cult-y stuff shown at like, the Trylon. Their loyalty program is also really nice--they not only do $5 ticket Tuesdays (similar to a lot of other theaters' discount Tuesday deals), but at Emagine, you can also get a free small popcorn on Tuesdays as a loyalty member, which is a killer value since their small is pretty respectably sized. read more

This is one of my favored small theaters. You can rent out a theater for Birthday parties and /events. Not sure if they still have $5 movie ticket Tuesdays. That use to be our favorite day to go since popcorn was also only $5 on this day. Not sure if they still have this. We went and saw Homestead on a Saturday. It was a popular day. My go to theater in the metro! I saw Wicked on a Friday night - theater was packed! The ticket was $11 (very reasonable for a must see film!) I highly recommend buying tickets online. They have a HUGE cocktail / beer / wine menu, and lots of food besides popcorn. Prices were overall expensive but worth a treat/pre movie drink and bite if it's in budget. The theaters were clean and they HAVE COMFY RECLINING SEATS! A must in my opinion! The staff is very friendly and gets you through snack lines quick. The only problem I had was they may not have been well prepared for the busy crowds, as the ice in the soda machines kept running out, and trash cans were getting full. read more

We bought tickets last week for the new Miyazaki movie, The Boy and The Heron. I was so glad Emagine was playing it - the employees were too! I follow their IG and know they do a lot of fun weird horror movie nights too for cheap. No one checked our tickets when we arrived so the place is very casual. Popcorn at Emagine is always perfect (made with coconut oil and butter-less topping as an option!) I used to work at one so am very partial to their popcorn process. I was expecting similar crappy chairs to other small theaters but these ones were modern, spacious and comfortable (too comfortable, my husband fell asleep). I believe we'll be going here for the rest of our movie needs, parking is easy too! read more

This is an upgraded and remade theater, which I love. It has a bar, restaurant, snack bar and everything you could need at a movie, even has blankets for sale if you forget yours and want to be comfy. They have a HUGE selection of movies, from the latest releases alongside of various film festivals and anniversary showings. We saw a dubbed version of a studio Ghibli classic, it was being shown next to a 25 year film classics anniversary showing. The facilities are clean, the reclining seats were in excellent working condition and very comfy. All the employees I interacted with were very personable and friendly. My home movie theater although Mann is literally 3 blocks away from my house. I tend to go on Tuesday's for$5 movies for rewards members. Also you get a small bag of popcorn free as well on Tuesdays. Went and saw Guardians of The Galaxy 3 and was really impressed. Most movie theaters I freeze my butt off but they were spot on with the temperature. The concessions ran smoothly even with the long line it was a short wait. They also have a full bar as well as good options. The reclining seats are so comfortable. The restrooms are clean and there are tables nearby if your waiting GeForce someone. If you want real butter on the popcorn it is $1 extra. Do you love seeing movies in the theater? Do you love having options other than popcorn? Do you love having the option to drink while you watch? Then this is the place for you. I have been reluctant to write this review because I love Willow Creek's Emagine and I would selfishly hate to see it overpopulated. I will note if you aren't here for the crowds avoid Tuesdays when members get a discount, it can get super busy. Hands down, this is the only movie theater I will go to in the twin cities. Price wise it is the most affordable and the seats are really nice. I enjoy the smaller showings and often recommend this to anyone who even slightly mentions going to see a movie. I'll be honest, I hate going to the movies. The crowds, overly expensive food/drinks, and the expressive tickets...but I actually love coming to this movie theater. I have seen countless movies that I otherwise would have waited for them to come to a streaming platform at this theater. I highly recommend checking it out. Also- for those who care, they do have the Coke freestyle machines and they are still just as epic as 2009. read more

My wife and I came to watch GOTG3 and bought the cuddle couch for the late-night showtime. Her phone fell off her pocket and slid somewhere on the sofa. We came back and asked if they could help us get the phone back, but they told us they would try to look for it. We described where we were sitting and where we might think it was. They told us they didn't find it and that upper management had it in their possession, but they never went to look for it. I returned the following morning, and they said upper management never had the phone, yet my wife's phone gps was still in the movie theaters. I had to go to work, so she returned later that evening and went inside the theater room and grabbed it where we told the employees it would be. This place ruined me for all other theaters. Not kidding. Tried to go to AMC because the movie I wanted to see wasn't playing here. Regretted it the entire movie. Miserable in a regular movie seat. COMFY SEATS!!! These recliners are adjustable, cleanable, and the perfect size. The theater is always clean. Food. If you order pretzel bites or a pizza, they bring it to your seat when it's done. Service! My son loves the parmesan pretzel bites. Choice. You can pick your seats online. (There is a fee, but it is worth it if the movie is new and you are worried about getting in.) Or you can walk in and pick your seats from the computer screen at the register with no fee. Rewards. This really pays off even if you don't go to movies often. I always have an amazing time at this theater. I never knew what a difference the reclining seats made but I honestly feel like I'm on a cloud. My bottom doesn't get too sore either compared to other locations. Not only that, but the food and popcorn is always consistently good! And the workers are always attentive. I have never had to wait too long in line despite rush hours, which is a plus. Another favorite thing about this theater is there is a decent amount of space between seats. Because hello, personal space. I need it. And this place delivers. Also, your food comes to you when you're already seated in your comfy recliner. You almost get to feel like royalty. Almost. Last thing I would like to mention is that the bathrooms are always clean, which is important because my bladder somehow always shrinks while watching a movie. There you have it.
