We worked with Cristine to get our quotes and installation scheduled and she was very helpful. She was very patient while we were selecting the stone and the options. They give you calls as the process makes progress. The first appointment is where they come in and measure your kitchen Countertops using laser to get the accurate measurements. The technician came on time and was very professional. The next appointment is the actual installation. They gave me a call and gave a heads up that the since the stone was too large and if it didn't go in, they might have to take it back to their site, cut it and bring it back. I liked the fact that they gave me this heads up. We had 4 technicians come over to bring the stone inside and they were very thorough in their job. The final installation looks great! I strongly recommend them.

Showed them a sample of a countertop we liked (we brought it with us) and the guy - who never did even stand up from his desk - said "nope - don't have one like that" (it was white stone with a bit of gold veining - he didn't even suggest an alternative). Finally when we told him it was for a powder room project he told us that the minimum order was $800. At that point it was crystal clear that he wasn't interested in helping us - HUGE mistake walking in. Anyone with a smaller job should steer clear! It's really easy to see why more and more people go to the "Big Boxes" for things like this. Thankfully American Granite is 100 yard's away!

We were crazy enough to do a full, first-floor remodel before we had even moved to Minnesota:…read morekitchen, open staircase, guest bath, floors, etc. So choosing the right remodeling company to work with was vital. We met with several companies after viewing their respective work in the Remodelers Showcase, and we are incredibly happy that we chose Roberts Residential. From the initial meetings and planning with Kory, to the day-to-day oversight of Chris - we have nothing but good things to say. There are always surprises when you're gutting someone else's build, so it was reassuring to have people on the ground who were knowledgable, experienced, and honest. Communication with Chris was great. And budget-wise, we ended up pretty close to where we expected to land. Yes, there were change orders; but they were almost always due to expanding the scope of the job -- and not because we were being gouged. We also really liked that RR has their own cabinet shop, and a crew who has been with the company long-term. Lastly, and people don't usually write this, but it's important: they're all nice guys. If you're doing a Twin Cities remodel, you should absolutely meet with Roberts.

They even made recommendations for some tweaks based on how we were intending to use the room - and it wasn't even an upsell. We knew exactly what to expect, and they delivered. The total cost was right around what was originally quoted, and there were not any surprises. The room is everything we wanted it to be - it's so beautiful - and we are already getting a lot of use out of it! Thank you for all your hard work and the care and attention you gave our home!

The beginning of our design and remodel process with them went well. The design team seemed organized and we liked the plans that were created. During this process we were asking for each project area to get individually priced, which they said they could do.  Post trade-walk, we were expecting a professional presentation with final prices for the projects. As time went on, we started to feel like we weren't a priority client. Most communications from them were coming after hours, which felt like they didn't have time to call and work with us during the day. All final price quotes coming from the "president's desk" were vague, lacked detail, had some mistakes and were unprofessional. The final numbers were also lost in a long chain of forwarded and replied emails.  We felt we had been up front with them from day one, saying that we wanted to see the price breakdowns of our different proposed projects so that we could choose which ones to invest in. The prices from the president's desk lacked transparency and they were unable to give us clarification when asked.  We were frustrated to have lost the time and money, but felt that they did not earn our business due to this lack of clarity and poor communication. The level of service we were receiving at this time was not worthy of the amount of money they were asking.

We did NOT get a confirmation. it left us wondering if she was going to come. She did come, TEN minutes Late. Told her we wanted a new stairway design. During our appointment, Jennifer said Four times: we would have "Sticker Shock"! What did that mean??? Was She judging us? When she left, she said she would have Three quotes with images by the end of the day. We never heard from her, so I sent an email from my account, instead of my husband's, stating we were looking forward to her design quotes. Still no response! It has been FOUR weeks now! I would not recommend them to anyone! Extremely disappointed!
