When the installers put in our bathroom vanity, they busted a pipe, and we had water pouring into our dining room and lower level. They would hardly help with the clean up, and left our house and we had no water. Eventually the owner sent out a handyman to turn on the water, but had to cut a hole in our dining room ceiling. He has said he will fix it, but said it's not his fault. We have been waiting for two weeks for it to be repaired. Poor communication. I would never recommend them to anyone read more

VERY SHADY! So our builder sent us here and it is conveniently located under 10 miles from where we live. We were so excited because building a home is exciting. In order to pick out what we wanted, we visited the shop several months ahead of our scheduled build. We met with Voila and looked over the slabs while asking about pricing. Our builder had told us we had a budget of $50/ft. so we based our choice on that budget. We considered remnants because we knew they were priced to sell and move out of the warehouse. We found 3 matching suitable remnants that had pricing of $40/ft., but Voila promised us we could get them for $30/ft. We had been there more than once and she had quoted the $30/ft. more than once! The months fly by and it's getting to be crunch time! We get an email from our builder, stating that we do not have enough in our budget to do the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room! What? All this time we thought we were completely under budget due to our allowance being $50/ft. and the granite being priced @ $30/ft. So we decided to go there and find out what happened? Turns out Sergei or whatever the owner's/co-owner's name is, DOUBLED the price of these remnants and they are now $60/ft. REALLY? So Voila contacted him and he said the best he could do is come down to $53/ft. That is ludicrous!! Why would you do that? We thought we were at the mercy of this guy, but actually we are not. We are hoping to get our granite tops elsewhere. If not, we will be more than happy to keep these unfavorable reviews coming on google reviews, porch.com, etc., as well as report them to the BBB. read more

I'd give them no stars if it was an option. This whole outfit is a fraud. Their showroom is filled with name brand sample slabs like Daltile and MSI all high quality materials that you think you're contracting for but they actually buy cheap knockoffs. What they installed is nothing like quartz. Simple liquids like coffee and watermarks don't come out! We have an 2 tired island and slabs do not match. The bottom slab is not smooth and glossy like quartz's but flat and grainy with imperfections throughout. They promised to fix the problem but they gave me the run around for months blaming the holdup on Daltile. Frustrated, I called Daltile and they told me Granite unlimited does not typically buy quartz from them and in fact had not ordered any quartz from them for months. When I called the owner with this information he straight out told me it would cost him too much to buy from Daltile! The workmanship is awful! They cut into our drywall to make the countertops fit and the backsplash were the wrong sizes and had to be recut along with a multitude of other problems. We contacted the BBB but the owner ignored our complaint. read more

The two good things I can say is that the installers were nice (most of the time) and the granite tops I got were affordable. Otherwise everything else could use some serious improvement. Read on... The guy who took measurements, Sergey, who also turned out to be the Owner, talked on his cell phone the whole time he was taking measurements/making the templates. He literally spent 10 whole minutes making these templates, which they used to cut the slabs off of. IA number of the pieces ended up being cut wrong so when the installers came, they had to make another trip out to fix what he had messed up. The place I live requires certificates of insurance and contractor licenses documentation from any contractors doing work onsite. I made it clear that I needed this documentation right from the get go. After I made my down payment, the sales rep admitted they didn't have a license. The sales rep I mainly dealt with (Voila) was completely unprofessional (although the other girls I dealt with also weren't any better). Voila didn't type out a formal quote and rather wrote my pricing in a number of emails and at one point on a post-it note. The final quote was hand written with no terms & conditions on a generic quote sheet. Also, none of the email correspondence you get from this company is signed by anyone so you have to ask who you're communicating with everytime. Also when I asked Voila a number of questions she kept telling me to call their boss because she was just the sales person and didn't know. If you're the sales person don't you find out the answers and get back to the client? That way there aren't two people for the client to deal with. When I visited their shop she pointed to two slabs that were in my price range but both were not the neutral colors I had told her I was looking for. Thinking I would have to look elsewhere I poked around their warehouse on my own for awhile until I found one that WAS what I was looking for on the other side of the shop. Thanks for all the selection help... I was given no instruction on what to do ahead of the installations, except buy a sink (but no information was provided regarding what size sink I should get). Then a half day before installations I was told I needed to bring the sink to the warehouse all the way out in Lakeville so they could do the cut-out for the sink on the slab that they would deliver the next day. I had to leave work early to do this and Voila snapped at me when I told her this was news to me. Apparently she told me verbally but when you make purchases like this, you're given a lot of information so writing down some instructions to the client or giving me more of a heads up would have been a much more efficient way to handle it. The installers were scheduled to arrive between 9am and 11am on a specific day. They showed up at 11:30 am. As mentioned earlier, they had to come back a second time with different pieces because the first ones weren't cut right (they were also late this second day). Then when the pieces were finally installed and they left I noticed they had caulked all of the seams except for the long one right behind the sink (the most important one). I called them to come back and the main installer, Yar, tried telling me they don't usually do that, but I argued with him that if they didn't and water got between the pieces there would be damage, so they begrudgingly returned a few hours later and finished. Not 24 hours after the work was completed Ashley (a girl in the office) called about getting paid the rest of the money. I was at work, in the middle of the meeting so I told her to send me the bill and she asked if I meant through email (??? are you kidding me, I feel like I was dealing with 8 year olds by this point. Send it however you want to but since when do you call the next day to get the rest of your payment?!?!?). Then the FOLLOWING day, a SATURDAY for that matter, Voila called about the same thing. Ugh! So I'd use this company only if you really need to save the money. Otherwise they are not worth the hassle. read more

I liked the experience working with these people. The young lady, V., who helped us at the store was very knowledgeable and kind, and took her time to show us the options available for what we were looking for, two separate times. I ended up choosing a granite that was EXACTLY what I was looking for. She explained the process to me very well too. One of the owners came on time to take the measurements, gave me a quote on the spot, which we found to be fair compared to other options. After finalizing the deal, he texted me right away a time and date they would come to make the installation, and also the time when they would do the plumbing, same day with a few hours difference. They came on on time, the people who came to install were kind and did a great job. The owners were there and made sure everything was done correctly. I had to change the time of the plumbing, and the plumber was accomodating as well, he took his time and we believe he did a good job. We have been enjoying our new beuatiful granite for a few days now. I just have one suggestion. When getting a quote, ask for it in writing. They did honor what they quoted, but it's always good to have it written as a reference. read more

We visited their shop/showroom on a Friday and were quoted $30/square foot. Free sink or a free upgrade to the edging. After being given some samples right off of the specific slab, we left to think about it. They came and measured on Monday. At that point we were told that since our island was wider than 28" we would have to use another more expensive slab and that the two didn't match, so all of our granite would need to be at $40/sq foot instead of $30. We went to the shop again to look and the sample we were given and quoted from was what they now said was the $40/sf slab... We went to another place one suburb away with very similar granite colors/slabs and were given a price of $25/sf without regard for the width. Same add on for edging, removal and disposal of current tops, etc. Much more professional. read more

When we first decided to replace our countertops with granite, I shopped around and recieved multiple in-home consultations before choosing. Granite Unlimited Inc sent one of their owners, Sergei, right away to view my kitchen and take measurements. He was the only one during the in-home consultation to bring up the shape of our kitchen and talk about where it was best to place the seam so it would look perfect. He took his time and I saw that he cared about which option would be best, seeing this made my decision to choose their company over others. My husband and I both went to their office to view granite choices and their office staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions. The owner, Sergie came once again to finalize measurements and helped me decide on the best granite option based on our wood cabinets and flooring. Overall, our kitchen was not without issues, but any issue that came up was personally addressed by Sergei and fixed right away and with perfection. The company has high standards and as a customer I appreciated every effort they made to finish the installation at its best. The granite chosen was perfect, not just perfect but gorgeous. The countertops are exceptional and if you are looking for a company and owners who take pride in their work, then I highly recommend choosing Granite Unlimited Inc. read more
