I had a very disappointing experience with this office after being a patient here for years. I was charged a cancellation fee that I was never clearly informed about beforehand. When I called to discuss the charge, the manager informed me that the fee had accumulated to $250 based on the number of times I had rescheduled appointments. This was surprising, as I was never made aware that simply rescheduling would result in accumulating cancellation fees. To her credit, she later offered to waive four of the five fees and only charge me a single $50 fee. However, my concern was never just the amount. My concern was that the policy communicated to me stated that a $50 fee would be charged for no-shows and same-day cancellations. The messages I received did not state that patients would be charged $50 simply for rescheduling appointments, nor was I aware of any policy allowing fees to accumulate in this manner. Because of that, I did not feel it was appropriate to pay a fee that I had never knowingly agreed to. I have copies of the text messages sent by the office, which state that a $50 fee will be charged for no-shows and same-day cancellations. The messages do not state that patients will be charged $50 for rescheduling appointments, nor do they mention fees accumulating with each reschedule. During our conversation, the manager claimed the text referenced a 24-hour cancellation policy, but the message I received does not state that. When I questioned the charge, the manager was rude, sarcastic, and dismissive of my concerns. At one point, she essentially ended the conversation with, "Call us back if you have the money." She also hung up on me, which I found incredibly unprofessional. She instructed me to contact the corporate customer service number regarding the issue. However, when I called, I was informed that each office handles its own fees and has discretion over whether to waive them, meaning there was nothing corporate could do. When I called the office back and explained what customer service had told me, the manager responded, "Yeah, I know." This left me feeling as though I had been sent on a pointless runaround, since she already knew corporate could not assist and that the decision rested solely with the office. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been a loyal patient for years. I have maintained their membership plan for the last several years, regularly returned for my routine dental cleanings and maintenance, and was planning to schedule additional, more costly dental services with this office in the future. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled has completely changed my perception of the practice. Because of this experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere. That's unfortunate, because this issue was never about refusing to take responsibility it was about wanting transparency, fair communication, and respectful customer service. Instead, I was met with misinformation, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of concern for a long-time patient relationship. I understand that offices have policies in place, and I respect the need to protect appointment times. However, patients also deserve clear communication, transparency regarding fees, and respectful treatment when questions arise. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. SCAM ALERT! I had some bonding break off my front tooth, leaving a gap. I went to my regular dentist who put the bonding back. My Dental Insurance covered half the cost. A week later the bonding broke off, so I went to Mint to see if they could do a better job. Their quote was unusually high, so I asked if they had contacted my insurance. I knew my insurance would cover it, because they had just covered the same procedure last week. Long story short Mint REFUSED to even contact my insurance. I was flabbergasted. In all my life I've never had a dentist who refused to even submit. If the insurance carrier denies the claim then fine, but they wouldn't even SUBMIT it. They just wanted my money. Needless to say I left. They gave me a corporate card where I could call to complain and guess what? Both numbers on it are disconnected. Complete and total scam office. Stay away. read more

Came in for cavity pain on 1 tooth. They told me I had multiple cavities from grinding my teeth. $1300 AFTER insurance. I get the work done and while preforming the procedure I let the dentist know I am in an EXTREME amount of pain. After she finished I tell her my bite feels very off and I'm in pain. She tells me "you're numb and can't feel it correctly right now you'll have to come back for a bite adjustment" Ummm if I'm numb and telling you my bite is severely off how painful do you think it was when the numbing wore off? I then come back AGAIN for the adjustment bc I am in EXTREME pain. Literally can't eat ANYTHING barely can get down soup and have lost 10lb due to the inability to eat anything for weeks now. After 2nd visit the pain is still not gone. I'm instructed to continue pain meds for the next few weeks. I keep doing that only to have the pain increase and worsen. I come back a 3rd time telling staff I am in so much pain and can't eat at all! They are incredibly unconcerned do not care and this office is a waste of your time and money. I have never had sensitive teeth or been in dental pain like this in my entire life. I wish I was exaggerating on the level of discomfort and extreme pain I'm In and have been in for weeks with little to no help or care from this office. Only perk is front desk lady is very pretty and nice. Everything else is 0 stars. read more

My daughter took my Grand here. She spent 6k on cavities as they had to put my grand under. The next week my daughter had a major car wreck and has a broken arm and no car as it is totaled. As a responsible parent she called to cancel the follow up. They said that they HAVE to charge her 50.00 For a cancelation. I WILL NOT BE REFERRING ANY FRIENDS TO YOUR ESTABLISHMENT! Life happens and at least she called to cancel and let you know why. This is not customer service, it is a rip off. read more

Have had several cleanings and even a filling replaced here, and have enjoyed each experience so far. The front office staff is very friendly and willing to help where they can. I was an hour late to an appointment by accident during my second visit, and they were happy to reschedule me for a later time in the week. No charge. They would've tried to fit me in the day I showed up, but they were simply too busy by the time I arrived. Cleanings and X-Rays have always gone smoothly here too largely due to Jackie, who's always been fun to be around. Also, the one filling I had replaced here was by far one of my best dentist experiences that required advanced treatment. The dentist and Jackie were quick and efficient, making sure I was doing fine throughout the entire procedure. Overall, I definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for reliable dentist work in the White Rock area! *One thing I almost forgot to mention too is they provide free whitening trays after your first visit if you're interested in that kind of thing. read more

Not a good experience. Set an appointment for a cleaning. I arrive and they insist on doing all sorts of x rays...okay. Then suddenly I needed a two visit deep cleanings, (I have had consistent cleanings for years) fillings replaced, a new crown etc. They come out with a treatment plan (an hour later) and want $1,700 cash. Plus they took so long getting to this point they said they couldn't do the cleaning today. Could I come back tomorrow? I took time off from work to be here only to get nothing done. For "luxury dentistry" the place wasn't very impressive and I'd like to know their justification for deep cleaning when my previous dentist has been cleaning my teeth every four months for years. I don't trust this dentist, Cunningham and felt like I was being sold a package of services and my time wasted. I'll go somewhere else. Update: I called my normal dentist today and they were shocked at the idea I would need a two visit deep cleaning and didn't find anything in my records to justify it. read more

Good grief - it's fine to get your teeth cleaned here if you don't mind a friendly but constantly new and training rotating queue of front and back staff (3 different dentists in 18 months, not to mention everyone else). But don't have any work done (Invisalign, etc) that takes more than one appointment because, 1) the front office staff always lets the White Rock Mint main line roll over to the corporate HQ number out of state and doesn't seem to answer corporate HQ calls, either, 2) no one takes accountability for mistakes (front and back office), and 3) they don't call you to let you know when they are *not* ready for you... so you'll drive across town and take off work and they'll all just shrug and do nothing better the next time. read more

Yuli was great! She was super sweet and she took me through the process while she was taking my teeth photos. Usually the X-ray part hurts because the size is too big, but it didn't this time. Dr. Tran was really sweet as well. She helped me understand that I should be using a soft bristle toothbrush because the toothpaste already has properties that scrub and cause gum recession. They took care of my deep cleaning right after my exam! HUGE WIN for me, because Great Expressions in Oak Lawn refused to clean my teeth unless I agreed to their quote -- over $2,000. I knew there was something wrong. So glad I found this place. Hailey the hygienist was SUPER thorough and helpful! She has an awesome attitude and she told me a few tips and great pieces of educational info that made me feel that she advocated for my dental health. Bryan was really sweet too, he went over my charges and did his best to be as cost conscious as I would be. This is the first time that I felt valued and heard in a dental office. There are a few perks that were a surprise for me, so I'm not going to spoil that for new clients. Hint photos. Great dental practice! First I was able to complete paperwork and schedule appointment online, it was convenient and easy. Reception greated me in a warm and kind manner. Im ashamed to admit how long it's been since we've had our cleanings, but my husband and I finally bit the bullet and went on a dentist date. The staff at Mint White Rock did an amazing job at assuaging our dentist-related anxiety. From Sandy who warmly greeted us at the front desk, to Ryan who did my cleaning, and Dr. Tran who did not make us feel guilty or shameful about our lack of regular scheduled visits - everyone really took such great care of us and made what has historically been a painstaking process for us very very painless. Scheduling online was so easy, not to mention we were able to fill out all the annoying paperwork online beforehand, which saved us time on our visit. The office itself is well-appointed, sleek, and comfortable. Let me say, if we must go have sharp objects and strangers' fingers in our mouths, this is the place to do it. I never leave reviews but I stopped by Mint this morning (White Rock) and loved my experience. I was greeted at the front cheerly at 8am- and the location is brand new and the interior feels more like a nice spa/salon then a dentist office. They've clearly payed attention to the customer experience because everything is seamless from doing forms beforehand or an Ipad to having the option to listen to music or watch Netflix when you're in the chair/waiting room. The doctor was also very nice and explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I didn't get the name of the women at the front desk (glasses and long dark braided hair) but she was so lovely and attentive the whole time. I didn't understand what the whitening trays were right before I left and instead of letting me walk out like anyone else would have she explained and took the time to get up and assist me. I've never actually enjoyed the dentist but I've recommended this place to family and will to friends! read more

I love Mint- let me say that I've been to three different Mint locations over the years and this one is my favorite! From the super-friendly and helpful gentleman at the front desk to the thoughtful and conscientious hygienist and dentist- I really enjoyed every aspect of my visit. As with all Mint locations I've been to, each waiting room is posh and elegantly appointed. This one just happened to be playing Massive Attack and really set the stage for a calm, chill wait time. The X-Rays were comprehensive and the tech let me know what she was doing and was very gentle. As for the actual exam, I am always pleased that I get pick whatever music I want to listen to (80's 4-ever) and a heated massage exam chair. I totally recommend this Mint location and even though we are moving in the next few months and will probably have to choose another branch in the future, I would be back in a heartbeat.
