He is New Jersey's great loss and our gain, having moved with his wife and two kids just 2 weeks ago. I have a terrible, irrational fear of dentists that's on par with serial killers and vampires. However, I think he single-handedly put my lifelong fear to rest, which is a huge accomplishment! He explained everything thoroughly to where there were no surprises, was extremely patient comforting me and dealing with my fears, and best accomplishment of all - made the process painless. He even personally called a few hours later to make sure I was ok. One of his best quotes was, "Every time a patient signals pain, I feel a part of the pain with them. If you don't, you've gone numb to the human experience and should consider retirement." After four years as a patient, I will never come back. Patrick is the only reason this review isn't entirely negative. He has always been kind, professional, and excellent at his job. I came in with a loose front crown causing pain. What should have been a straightforward cleaning and consultation turned into a nearly two-hour waste of time. I was left waiting repeatedly, moved between rooms with little communication, and saw a dentist who never introduced himself, seemed annoyed to be there, promised he would return after my cleaning, and never came back. The most frustrating part of the entire experience was the front desk employee who came in afterward. Despite the fact that I had already spent considerable time discussing my situation with both the hygienist and dentist, she spoke to me as if none of those conversations had happened. She insisted on explaining my own treatment plan back to me, gave me incorrect information about insurance coverage, and immediately began pushing me to schedule new crowns. When I explained that I was simply waiting for the dentist to return as promised so he could assess the tooth that was actually causing me pain, she informed me that wasn't possible because he was now in surgery. I then asked if I could see another dentist. Her response was that he was the only dentist available. That answer was honestly shocking considering there are multiple dentists listed by the practice and I've personally seen several different dentists there over the years. Apparently after wasting nearly two hours of my time, my only option was to come back in a week to see the same dentist who had already failed to return when promised. What made it worse was that after all of this, she immediately asked if I wanted to go ahead and book that appointment. I actually laughed because I thought she was joking. I left, sat in my car, called another dental office, and was seen an hour later. The difference was night and day. Professional staff, clear communication, transparent pricing, and a dentist who actually took the time to sit down and speak with me. I ended up moving forward with treatment there because I trusted them. This office has gone downhill. We have been loyal patients here for several years and stayed through Covid, but unfortunately had to find a new Dentist. They have not retained one Dentist or a hygienist from the start. I've barely seen the same Dentist twice and once I became comfortable with a Dentist, he or she would be gone with no warning. It actually became comical a few times and I'm a creature of habit so I didn't want leave and kept giving them any chance.. year after year. I've seen so many hygienists here but Augustine was my favorite. The last straw was when I saw he left; I knew it's due to bad management of this location. They've turned into my nightmare version of a Dentist office, where they try to upsell and constantly push services on you to make more money. They've done this on and off to my poor husband and would charge ridiculous amounts for deep cleaning. My experience at White Rock Dental was highly disappointing and disheartening. It appears that all of the negative reviews about the hygienist's integrity, based on numerous negative Google reviews are so true! Despite receiving satisfactory x-ray results, she insisted on aggressively probing my gums to supposedly provide proof of gingivitis, an act that felt more like an attempt to persuade the doctor than a legitimate medical procedure. What truly baffles me is that the doctor went along with it! Their willingness to proceed with unnecessary measures is concerning, to say the least. The fact that they refused a general cleaning and seemed more interested in liaising with my insurance provider raises major red flags. My overall impression is that White Rock Dental's primary focus appears to be financial gain rather than providing genuine patient care. This experience left me with a strong sense that the clinic might be engaging in unethical practices, ultimately hurting both patients and insurance companies. It's been over a year that I reached out to White Rock Dental about an injury they caused me. I was hesitant about leaving a review because I was hoping they would step up to the plate and act like professional company regarding the damages. However, after a year of no feeling in my lip and irreversible scarring - it is absolutely necessary I share my experience. A dentist they employed rested a scolding hot tool on my lip during my procedure. After the procedure she told me it was a "Small Burn" and it would go away soon. My mouth was numb so when I got in the car and looked in the mirror only to see white flesh and a divot in my lip - I was terrified. Over the next few days my lip began to scab and scar. This was excruciatingly painful. Over time - my lip did not fully heal and I continued to live mortified over the damages. My phone calls and emails went ignored for a very long time until finally I was able to get in contact with their "COO" Heather Foster. Heather went back and forth with me for months on the extent of my damages (I'm only speaking about my lip however there were more things they did incorrectly such as crowns continuously falling out and cracking etc). At one point, the only thing she offered me was reporting the dentist (who worked through them) to the dental board without White Rock taking responsibility. The amount Heather eventually offered me was less than 10% of the total amount I'd paid White Rock for my services. I could not believe how inconsiderate their offering was given the damages they'd caused me that I'd have to live with for the rest of my life. I responded with a reasonable fixed amount to avoid legal repercussion and never received a response. It's been a year since I sent that email. I now can no longer drink out of cups without a straw due to liquid falling out of the bottom - from no feeling in my bottom lip. I had a wedding in December and could see the scar in all of my photos. I try to wear lip liner 24/7 over my scar to avoid the "what happened to your lip?" question. This has impacted my life permanently and I hope this email provides people with clarity on whether or not to give White Rock Dental your TRUST and business. read more

Have started going to this dental office and got a crown prep done and wearing a temporary crown. I cracked chipped the temporary brown this past Saturday 2/22/25 and left 3 messages that have gone unanswered. I'm in pain and left them that message when it happened on 2/22/25. Every time I go for treatment I'm treated by a different dentist as well. ZIts very uncomfortable not to be cared for by the same dentist. However they rescheduled my appointment from Wednesday to Friday without a rescheduling notice or asking me if I would be available that date and time which I'm not. They only sent a text with the new date to confirm but with my busy schedule I confirmed thinking it was for the original date I booked because no one had contacted me that my date and time was changed! After first having scheduling difficulties... I had scheduled online only to go and realize they had no record of me. I went back the next day rescheduled. I was just going for a routine checkup and cleaning. I was a new patient here because my last dentist quit taking my insurance. So during the two hours I was there, they did not clean my teeth. They just insisted that I reschedule for a "deep cleaning" (which I had already done with my previous dentist.) Even the dentist popped in for 30 seconds to say that everything looked good. But the hygienist insisted that I schedule 4 appointments a year to get back on track. I called bs on that call. I will never be going back there and I suggest you don't bother with these folks. Dr. Kennedy is fantastic, but the office staff are so disorganized that I probably won't return after my Invisalign treatment is finished. I've had issues with everything from scheduling the wrong appointment times, scheduling appointments too far out so that I run out of aligners, scheduling incomplete services, confusing me with a family member who is also a patient and giving me the wrong aligners...the list goes on. And while I appreciate that the Invisalign is offered at a fixed cost, they are billing my insurance for orthodontic services under Dr. Le, who I have never seen. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. Not recommended for anything. Lot of staff turnover. I have been going to this office since it moved from Ferndale. No real issues but had concerns. Always trying to UP SELL something I didn't need or want. Don't think I have seen the same dentist twice in the years I have been going. 1st issue: Invisalign promotion. Get a free phone or table, ok I'll do that as I needed to get me teeth straighten, so why not. Never got the promo item even after several emails and phone calls and complaints to the office staff and dentist. I think the dentist at the time stopped me to soon on the Invisalign treatment as my teeth were not as straight as I thought they should be. The dentist kept insisting that my bite was good. I wasn't using Invisalign to get my bite straight. I wanted straighter teeth. Never convinced him what I wanted. The next dentist I saw said I could get an Invisalign refinement and would have corporate contact me. Corporate never called me on any of my complaints at the office. It took over a month to get the nighttime retainers. Kept getting the run around on why they were not ready. Asked for a partial refund, promo item several times and they said they would have corporate contact me. Still no phone call. Went for a regular 6-month cleaning today and was told that I needed a deep cleaning. Insurance would pay partial and my portion would be $900. Wait what? Ummm no. Just a cleaning please. Hold on. I talked to the manager and got it down to $550. What happened to the cleaning I have been getting for years that insurance pays for? Well, you need a deep cleaning today and is $550 ok? NO. I stated my concerns that I wanted just my regular cleaning that insurance pays for. They would not do the cleaning because it would be neglect. Took my bib off and walked out. read more

Wow!!!! That's the first word that came out. If I could only express my feelings about this place on a microphone it would be a loud WOW!! II broke my veneer on my front tooth Friday night. I frantically called Saturday morning hoping to find the perfect office. When I made my first call the front desk gentleman that took my call was over the top professional, courteous , & most important knowledgeable of my concerns. I was able to get an appointment for same day Saturday morning. I was greeted very professional and felt very good about the surroundings. The assistant took me back and did the routine , asking questions and getting an x-ray. I met the Dentist, and it just got better and better. I left with a beautiful temporary crown. Someone recommended this place to me so I made an appointment after a root canal. The tech molded the wrong tooth so I was there for over 2hours and had three different people trying to fix the mistake. I was told to come back in about 10 days for them to put it on but it ended up being delayed so I had to wait a few more days no big deal. Once I got the call I came in and spent another 3 hours there while they tried to get the crown on and it wouldn't fit ( not sure why) but was told to come back AGAIN. I was in so much pain that the doctor gave me an injection but hit a nerve and my face felt like it was on fire!!! all they could do was apologize and told me I would have to come back again once my second crown came back. Fast forward... it gets here and as the tech gets ready to set it she forget the string with lidocaine on it and places the crown and sits there and noticed she forgot to take it off! So she diggs into my gums to get under the crown to get the string out as I'm crying because it was painful. I was about done with this place once I got my crown and was ready to leave when the office manager was nice enough to just talk to me and listen to my frustration. So I decided to give them another chance . I got two quotes for cleanings and a implant and was told since they were saved in my account they would honor those prices when I was ready. Well I made an appointment for my cleaning in the office and told them about the estimate and how she told me it would be honored and both girls working up front didn't say anything about it. So here I am the morning of my appointment when the NEW Office manager tells me they won't honor it but I can pay monthly for insurance... lol seriously! I came to Dr. Hanna on a whim when I was looking to get a crown after I got an implant. I got an incredible deal on Groupon. I couldn't have been more pleased!!! The entire staff is incredibly friendly and professional!! Since the procedure, I've been back for a cleaning. They take their time and go into thorough explanations of dental care. Beware the Orthodontist is only available 1 weekend out of the month which is why they try to talk a 15 year old into getting Invisalign's over metal braces. Every appointment we have had we had to wait at least 20 min to be called back then my son sits in the chair in the room waiting again for 20 minutes before they start his work. Understandable if this was a once off situation but it it every visit... they should just do walk-ins and take a number it would be a lot less frustrating. Do not recommend. They screwed me over when I got Invisalign. Had them on for less than 3 months and they only gave me a tiny refund (which they did not inform me of when I requested them off) and they hardly ever answered my emails or took my calls. I probably emailed 15 times total (called even more) and heard back maybe once or twice, via email. Every time I'd get them on the phone, they told me they were looking into it. I kid you not - this went on for more than a year. This entire ordeal was one of the most stressful and frustrating things I had to deal with in a while. I loved this place when Dr. Hana was here but after he left, I was treated with disrespect and staff was condescending towards me. I believe the efforts of Dr. Jake Moon left a positive impression on the employees that have been there for a while and that is evident In their communication skills and their ability to make me feel at ease during my visits. The dentists, however show no signs of caring about anything but their financial goals. They even have a huge sign in their front desk that is visible to the public stating their financial goals. when I was given my treatment plan by the accountant, I was given no options other than to pay 5k upfront For invisalign And if I couldn't pay it then see ya later. I am so glad to have Northlake Dental in my neighborhood!!! Their clinic name didn't show up on my dental insurance's website so I decided to give them a call. I'm glad I did. They said they're in network with my insurance (Delta Dental) and they're so nice over the phone I went ahead and made an appointment. There're a couple of reasons I highly recommend this clinic. First of all, everybody in the office is super nice and do their best to make you feel comfortable as possible. (I've never met Dr. Le but Dr. Hanna is super nice!) The office manager Ray is super friendly and so good at taking care of you, only thing to worry about is to just show up. (And 3times Ive been there, the wait time was close to none!) Second of all, they're open on Saturdays (I believe until 2pm) as a busy working mom, this extra accessibility is a huge plus! They're not a type of office with spa experience or anything but they welcome you and treat you like a family member and I guarantee you that you leave the clinic with a huge smile :) read more

So I am a "legacy" patient from when the late Dr. Hill owned this business. I must say that the transition to my new dentist was pretty painless (pun intended). I have done my bi-annual teeth cleanings and have had a few cavities filled in since the place was sold. I have been confused over the last year on who is actually my dentist but can say that out of the 3 dentist (I think these guys were dentist) I have seen, all have been very nice and made me feel really comfortable. I have severe Dental anxiety and hate even thinking about going to the dentist. Dr. Moon and his staff have were the nicest and most helpful staff I've ever had the pleasure of being around. I was in some serious pain with one of my teeth. Couldn't drink any liquid that was cold or hot. The "coordinator" Ray is rude and a joke. I booked an appointment at 4pm and he called telling me I "double booked" and he would need to move my appointment for another week. He smirked/scoffed out loud and said that it was fine I had to see someone sooner and would have to go elsewhere. I was going because I am in excruciating pain and they accepted my insurance. At 3:10 some guy named Jay calls me and says since I wasn't there at 3 they can't see me . I'm literally a 1/2 mile away and he says too bad. You would make us be behind. I am literally in his parking lot when we hang up . I get to the door and he's locked it. Says he's the only one to talk with. Poor customer service. Not one person in waiting room and numerous staff standing around behind counter . I've only used them for cleaning because there always running specials to try and get business I guess . I found there pricing much higher for other services so always went elsewhere . Maybe there's a reason they run those specials.
