While stopping briefly in Dublin, Georgia, I walked around the downtown area to simply see the sites. After turning the corner, I saw the signage for the Minute Grill, as well as the mention of them being featured in the show True South airing on ESPN. This establishment is a true part of Southern history. They've been serving customers in the Dublin area for over 60 years. You place your order at the end of the long counter where you can sit to eat your food or select one of the tables in the relatively smalldining room area. I didn't have much of an appetite when I found this place, but I definitely wanted to try one of their burgers. I decided to order one of the double cheeseburgers. The burger appears relatively small, but it's served hot, fresh, and flavorful. As I write this review, I'm thinking of going back to grab one of their triple cheeseburgers to go. You can watch the staff working hard to make the fries, burgers, and dogs. Being that it's a popular place, the wait times for the food are a little long. If you're in the Dublin, Georgia area, I would recommend you try the burgers at the minute grill. Minute grill was recommended to me by my brother in law, who grew up here in macon, georgia. He said as a child that every time he got a haircut, his dad would take him over to get a hot dog and burger. A little piece of americana and food is just as great with very reasonable prices. read more

This place isn't what others made it seem to be. The speed of service and customer service was extremely good. But the food isn't worth $hit. I spent $22 and could not enjoy my food. The burgers were so small compared to the dinner rolls they were served on. I literally took the bottom bun off to balance it out. The chili dog was average, and the slaw dog didn't have a taste. Food is just meh. Burgers and dogs come with hot sauce just so you know. I asked for mine without it. Never had one with hot sauce and not open to trying it. Doesn't seem like my thing. They are friendly and from what I observed they know their regulars on a first name basis which is good. ordered two dogs. fries were okay. dogs were okay. just wish they would either toast their buns with butter a little better or steam them. If I would of just gotten the burgers this probably be a 4 star review!!! But I would definitely rate them 3.5!!! The star of the show was absolutely the the double burger all the way (minus the ketchup for me), the meat: to cheese: to bread ratio was 4.5 stars!!! Will be back to try them again... This place is typical burger joint. It is located in downtown Dublin and can get pretty busy during the lunch hour, but luckily they stay true to their name and serve you in "minutes!" The service here is friendly and quick. I tried two cheeseburgers and a side of fries. Keep in mind that the beef patties on the burgers are tiny. If you get your burger "all the way," that translates to ketchup, mustard, onions and hot sauce. I got mine sans hot sauce. The burger tasted okay. It was nothing special. I do wish the cheese had been melted on it instead of a cold piece just placed on top. The fries were a nice serving size for a small. However, I did not enjoy the taste of the fries. The batter on the fries tasted like batter used for shrimp, so every time I ate a fry it tasted like I was eating fried shrimp. It was the weirdest thing. A huge downside for me is that the ventilation in the restaurant must be poor, because after I left my clothes and my hair smelt like grease. The smell was nauseating, so I had to shower and do laundry almost immediately when I returned home. read more

They have the best fries I have ever had. With a convenient location downtown, This place is a must eat for anyone traveling in through Dublin. It is a old school burger joint that serves sliders. I stopped in looking for a "dive" experience and I found it! This place screams small town-been around forever-local flavor-dive and it delivered. The burgers are sliders before sliders were popular. They are like sliders with integrity. They taste great. I could've pounded 5 of them but I filled up on the homemade fries which were delicious. Minute Grill is a one of a kind place. The burgers are amazing. Yea they fry the burgers in grease, but this is the south and we fry everything. The burgers are served on a dinner roll with a special ketchup. The fries are handcut and amazing. The hot dogs are great and even better topped with slaw and chili. Dont ask for unsweet tea. I only work in Dublin, so I only get to go out for lunch. Some people suggested this place. The burger were just OK at best. It is just a krystal size patty on a sweet dinner roll. You could definitely tell the meat was fresh but they cooked it on a flat top so it cooked with all the other patties in about 1/4 inch of grease that has accumulated. You can try if you want, but I will not be going back. The fries were homemade and fresh but just not that great either. Sorry. read more
