I was alone at the time and wrapped my bleeding wrist and drove to the nearest hospital where after 45 minutes of not even getting back to triage I left. The urgent care clinics don't open until 2pm and everybody else wanted me to wait a week. Seriously? Even rural Alabama had a handful of urgent care clinics open early. Anyways, I didn't really feel sick enough to go to the ER and Family care was kind enough to let me come in. They get an additional star for the great PA who saw me. He was very personable and explained every test he was about to run to me. He also did a wonderful job of telling me about the results and what to expect. He was wonderful. Technically, they should get another star for being able to take X-rays and run blood work right on site. For a small clinic, they are rather self sufficient. However, the wait took away the last two stars. 2 hours in the waiting room just to see the aforementioned PA. I am sure the wait was justifiable. Not just in my mind. However, if I find myself in a bind again, I will go see them. Great hours and good medicine. What's not to love.

I do not go to the doctor as soon as I get sick. I usually wait at least a week because most of the time it's viral and the doctor won't do anything until it's been a week anyways. So that's what I did this time and I missed four days of work and they would not write me an excuse. They first claimed I ended up being sent to the er because I just needed fluids. I said that wasn't true and if they looked they'd be able to see that I had a strep test done and several prescriptions called in that was to treat hand foot and mouth and a secondary infection. I had lost 12 pounds in 12 days because I couldn't eat. I was very very sick so when I left to go to the ER, an excuse was not on my mind. Now that im better, I've tried calling back to get one and I was told I would've needed to discuss it with the doctor that day. I said if that was their policy they should make sure they ask every patient that comes in there if they need an excuse because I've never had to deal with this before . They said they put that responsibility back on the patient. I explained that a patient isn't going to be thinking about that when they are really that sick. The doctor looked back at my notes and said there was no way to verify I had hand foot and mouth. I was like no of course not there's no test for it but people still write excuses for it . She agreed to write it for two days prior to my visit. i was told it was all up to the provider and every provider is different. Then I get a call from an administrator saying their policy is to do the day of and days after and so they weren't going to write me an excuse at all now for the days I missed. So if you've been sick and have missed a few days of work or school, don't go to this office because they will not excuse you.

Please understand this is a smaller office so there could be a wait but i came in with only one person ahead of me around 7pm and was discharged at 8:15pm. The NP Leslie came in and took great precautions with me. I am 9 weeks pregnant and she made sure to check all possible causes for my cold. Even recommended, after all test came back negative, that I come in the next day if i wasn't feeling well and they'd see me right away. Don't hesitate just come!!

You're in the medical business, if you're open till 9 you should accept patients until 850 - or advertise that online when you stop taking patients, Incredibly disappointing
