Everyone that helped me throughout the entire visit: Robin Alley, Semone, Laurie, Danielle and Dr Brittany Congress!! Everyone was so kind and helpful. X-rays were done. And, a couple of days later, someone from the office called to check how I was doing! I was pleasantly surprised with an urgent care that was not only thorough but kind as well. During my recent annual physical, she briefly asked me about my asthma, which I reported was stable and even improving. She then renewed my existing prescription, and we moved on. I was shocked to later receive a separate charge for an office visit based solely on that brief conversation. I am a relatively new patient and was not aware this was their billing practice. My previous doctor never charged me for this, so I will be returning to them as a patient. I also called the office for clarification, but unfortunately Dr. Abraham has not returned my call. In summary, if you have a minor medical condition that requires an annual prescription renewal, do not seek care at Rocky Hill Family Physicians.

Wait times…read morewere certainly longer the past few years, as COVID precautions prompted employers and schools to have doc proof of being COVID-free. They were absolutely swamped but I personally still felt that they had an organized system that was very conscious of patient and staff health. They even have a few exam rooms that have outside/separate entrances and will call you in from waiting in your car. Now that many precautions are lifted, it seems wait times are more normal. I checked in (Oct. 2022) on the Solv app via my phone and it shows wait time and where you are in line. The office called me when they were ready for me to come into the lobby and head back for vitals. It was right at my scheduled appt. time. Front desk staff was very friendly. Then, Pam brought me back and took my vitals prior to April heading in to examine me and chat about symptoms and causes. She was very thorough, patient, and kind. Sometimes, you feel like just another number in a medical office, but it is clear this staff genuinely cares about patients and their health. I only came to urgent care because my GCP is booked out several weeks(even for sick visits) and I was miserable. However, April mentioned several people use her at UC instead of a general care practitioner...and I'm not surprised. Co-pay might be pricier at a UC facility but the experience was as painless as a doc visit can get. I will only use this office when I have an urgent care need instead of others closer to home.

Another different test to do? Disability paperwork filled out) This man made everything so difficult for me that I would have panic attacks and not be able to open his secure message responses to questions I asked for days. Because the answer was always "no" or him doubting me or making this process of trying to get something complicated diagnosed even harder by making me argue for every single thing. Like filling out short term disability paperwork when I was going on FMLA leave. Everything was already hard and he made it harder. The most recent time, when I called to ask their office manager what to do when the doctor can't help, I got a certified letter from Dr French firing me. Dr French wants to do the basic work and then go home and not think about his job or his patients. I kind of think he wants to not think about his patients when they're in the room too. He can play like he listens and play a good doctor, but when it really matters, he'll let you down every single time.

Two procedures done within a month the remove two centimeter precancerous polyps. I'm 46, get your preventative tests. I had no symptoms. I highly recommend Dr Edmunds team. From the anesthesiologist, to the receptionist they treated me like family making a concerning situation as comforting as possible.

I explained that I was not told about this when my appointment was confirmed, and because I was coming in for a procedure, I did not bring cash or credit cards with me. The front desk staff member said she would speak with Dr. Edmunds. When she returned, she stated that if I could not pay the $45 copay, I would need to reschedule because the office is cracking down on collecting copays. She then asked if I could borrow the money from my driver. Thankfully, my driver was able to help me, but the situation was very frustrating and embarrassing. My concern is that I had already taken the day off work, followed the preparation instructions, fasted, arranged transportation, and showed up ready for my procedure. To be told at that point that my procedure could possibly be canceled over a $45 copay was very upsetting. I completely understand that offices have policies regarding copays and patient responsibility. However, if those policies are going to be strictly enforced, I believe patients should be informed ahead of time, especially before a scheduled procedure. A courtesy call or reminder letting the patient know the amount due at check-in would help avoid situations like this. I am not refusing to pay my copay, but I do feel the communication could have been handled better. Patients should not find out the day of a procedure, after fasting and making arrangements, that their appointment may be canceled due to a payment they were not made aware of in advance. I hope this concern can be reviewed so future patients are properly informed before their procedure day.
