Worst customer service EVER. Called the phone number with a follow up question, and after 4 hours on hold, the call was dropped.

I have more issues than China has exports, and I am happy, in some cases dumbfounded, by the sincere thoughtful care I receive. That's my overall experience, but nobody's perfect and I have had some individuals I did not "click" with. I'm sure they were all excellent providers for the patients they saw, but not the right fit for me. I just asked (said) I would like to see someone else until I was comfortable with someone. That has only happened a few times over the many, many, years I've gone to HV. I've also been referred outside Harvard Vanguard whenever necessary, and a couple of times I wanted it. My formula, have a legitimate reason (subjective reasoning is OK if it's legitimate), be steadfast, and act like a 5 year old who wants something. I have a 100% success rate. If you had a 5 year old - give or take a few years - you get it. Most importantly, find the care you need, in Harvard Vanguard, or elsewhere. In my case, I have providers I would follow if they went elsewhere (local enough elsewhere,) and have Harvard V for everything else. We're lucky to live in this area for medical care, with excellent care widely available, and I'm getting mine at Harvard Vanguard. Good luck and happy health.

So I saw the psychiatrist [ the only psychiatrist at the Medford Ceter ,] for renewal of a mediation. I had taken this medication for 22 years. L I asked her to dispense it. She replied, NO. I then told her, I am ending this session. And didn't want to make another appointment with him as I felt it wasn't a good match. Doctor be became furious with me. Told me, I MISSED MY LUNCH BECAUSE OF YOU. I don't argue with people. I just left. End of Story, I Thought. I told my primary care doctor of this " innocent ". He said how long have you been taking this medication? I said 22 years. Doctor said record shows you tried 12 antidepressants and this was the only one that works. Primary said to me..." I'll send it in. " Two years later, my health plan , put everyone's history on the computer and made it accessible 24/7. I glanced at it. And was shocked...the psychiatrist I saw about the prescription wrote " Parient was very argumentative. And patient was COMBATTIVE with me. Now, I was furious. Since she's been here, I don't mind dodging through Medford's traffic to come to this office. I do have to be honest with you, if I was a new patient and reading the newest reviews here, I would be quite anxious about coming here for the first time. However, the good news is, I've never had any of the negative experiences as described by others. On my most recent visit, it was due to a medical scare. Not life or death scare, but serious enough for me to see the doc. My call was answered right away and she was able to squeeze me in to see Dr. T. the very next morning since she was off that day. I was given a choice to see a different doctor that very day, but since I wasn't dying I opted to wait for the morning. The office normally opens at 9:00 AM that day, they squeezed me in at 8:15 AM. It meant a lot to me that they were willing to go the extra mile for a sick patient. Most of the tests can be done in the office. Blood works are done around the corner of the building at Winchester Hospital Drawing Station. Tests they cannot do in the office will be done within the Winchester Hospital Organization. Dr. Tahmassian is an absolute angel, so is Ann Marie (her RMA), and the administrative ladies. They are all very professional and considerate to what you need, and what you are going through. In my opinion, communication is what makes or breaks a doctor's visit. Whether it is a call-back, a refill, rescheduling an appointment, patient portal messaging, or simply one-on-one conversations with empathy. I am extremely satisfied with the level of communication here. Plenty of parking in front of the office. However, it is not free. You need to go to one of the two machines and put in your license plate number. It's 25 cents for every 15 minutes, cash or card. By the way, the machine closest to their door is always broken.

Good to know you can come here on Sunday morning at 9 AM and get seen by a doctor within minutes…read more I recommend this place if you have to see someone quickly. There is plenty of free parking in their parking lot, there is a receptionist on the first floor to give directions where to go or help with any other needs. Beth Israel's's Urgent Care is located on the second floor, there is an elevator a wheelchair if needed. The office suite is clearly marked urgent care, very important. If you are stressed or in a situation you don't want to have to second guess where to go. My doctor examined me thoroughly and had a medical assistant. My exam was quick. This is urgent care and being quick is a good thing. . I did not have to go to an emergency room for which could take hours maybe even days to be seen, especially at a non Beth Israel emergency room. Even then, taking up the space and time in an emergency room makes it difficult for those people that are really in crisis with a high need medical issue. If I needed an emergency room, BI Urgent Care would have sent me or made sure I got there safely. So this was the perfect option for me rather than waiting for an appointment after a minor car accident. Or emergency room. I'm very pleased with Beth Israel, as medical provider in all areas of care including surgeries. Hands down, the best option. Discharge/service note was giving to me at record speed and my medication was called in in the same manner. I've been coming for my primary care to this location for several years. Professional staff at the front desk make my visits run smooth. the doctor examined me, I felt confident in his ability to assess me. Today was pleasant and efficient I was in and out of there quickly. And that's what I want when you have been in an accident or some other life incident.

They did NOT require patients too put on a new mask... and one was chronically coughing. Yet, the nurse took my information from a separate room on her phone due to Covid protocols. Nobody seemed to write anything I said down. This resulted in me repeating a month-long history of medical visits, for various symptoms, all the medications that resulted from them and all my current symptoms... Half a dozen times! When I did finally meet with the doctor, she was an excellent listener, very empathetic and supportive. I might recommend her...but all she prescribed me was an antihistamine nasal spray. My symptoms are severe, and definitely need further treatment, but she simply did NOT know what to do for me. She said she wanted to prescribe me antibiotics, but she feared the side effects would make my current symptoms even worse. WORST PART: I showed the doctor two red bite marks, on my right forearm, and assured her I had a picture of the bites, when they first happened, and they were red circles. I requested a basic LYME DISEASE blood test. She REFUSED detest me, for Lyme disease and tick borne illness, because she said, "your symptoms don't relate to that." My symptoms are classic for Lyme disease: headache; diarrhea; nausea; fatigue; etc. this type of medical ignorance is extremely dangerous. If ANY of the 300+ kinds of tickborne illness, of which we only test for one kind of Lyme Disease, is not diagnosed and treated early, it can become chronic for LIFE. THE DEAL: In future, I would reserve using this walk-in clinic for absolute emergencies only... and only those that don't merit going to the ER!

I thought that was strange but said ok and hung up. I was called back two days later by their office to make the appointment which I did for a week out. They then called me several times to confirm and cancel my appointment. The calls were literally two minutes apart the day before the appointment. When I called back I could not reach anyone and the appointment was the next day. So I went to the office. They return the call two hours later right before they closed while I was pulling in the parking garage. She proceeded to tell me that my appointment was canceled because I did not have the labs that I was supposed to have done done and it was booked incorrectly and they don't have my records or a referral. I explained to her that I had the day off and I planned on coming to my appointment. I knew for a fact the referral was in place I could see it on my tuffs app, as for the labs they did not give me a requisition and my primary care told me she would not do the labs because we didn't want duplicates. I then proceeded to tell her that I was in the parking garage with my records because her fax machine doesn't work and Boston IVF could not get them to the office. Throughout this entire conversation she was very condescending and arrogant.
