The staff didn't check her vitals, her oxygen or her heart rate. They didn't ask if she was okay before they decided to just turn her away either. This bad for business and very dangerous. I had to travel 30 minutes away to another urgent care where they gave her a breathing treatment for wheezing. I will be in contact with the clinic manager as well as the regional manager. I work for an urgent care and a child should NEVER be turned away for an issue like that. As a mother that is my issue and my balance which should have been submitted through my insurance months ago. It was a very unprofessional medical experience with the staff that was on shift. UPDATED REVIEW: After getting in touch with the Director of Operations of this location she addressed all of my concerns and apologized for what did occur the previous day. When I arrived the provider took me in immediately and tested to confirm I had strep throat. I was able to pick up a prescription for an antibiotic right there at the same time. This was so much more reliable than the local urgent care options. Its also great they are open on the weekends as needing attention on Sat. or Sun. can be a nightmare. I would definitely recommend the Minute Clinic for simple ailments like strep or a sinus infection.

Ms. Kushnir told him he couldn't complete it if he doesn't speak English, which he very much does and understands. She refused to let me help translate or clarify, not providing us with any other accommodations or alternatives. Her tone and behavior felt hostile and, in my opinion, discriminatory. This is an unacceptable way to treat a patient, completely inappropriate. We left feeling humiliated and deeply upset. This is unacceptable. I hope management addresses this and ensures proper language accommodations so no one else is treated this way.

Add that to a corporation that doesn't care, and you HAVE TO AVOID. Went to Urgent Care, doctor looked one second at me, gave a diagnosis and recommended treatment, and sent a large bill. After 8 weeks of treatment, I went to a specialist who indicated that there was NO WAY any qualified doctor could give that diagnosis, as the ailment diagnosed could not possibly be caused by pain in the reported location. Complete malpractice and Misdiagnosis. Happily went to a real agency who provided proper treatment and care and months later I am better. But Hartford Heath could care less. I called and filed a complaint, with a reasonable request that I should not be paying a bill if the diagnosis was blatantly wrong, and they refused a refund without any appeals. You have a choice to who you go to. Your health is important. Why would anyone go to a place where doctor's don't have basic medical knowledge to make correct decisions to your health, and likewise if they do make a mistake, they refuse to stand behind their product. Fairfield can do better. Linda Thompkins, Patient Advocate, likewise should really change title to Hartford Healthcare Advocate, as she is ineffective.

I had a very poor experience going to this urgent care. I'll save you the gory details but I had…read moreinjured my knee and had been in some very bad pain and decided to get checked out. The front desk staff was pleasant and I didn't have to wait long, probably the only positives of going here. I was taken back to a room and shortly after a female PA came in. She literally looked me in the face and said "I'm not sure what you came here expecting" as if I had hobbled into my dentists office and told them I'd hurt my knee. She didn't touch my knee once or do any sort of exam, just had one of the nurses take me for an x-ray (which showed nothing). Then when she returned with the results she said "you may have injured your meniscus." Again, this was done without doing any sort of exam whatsoever. She then told me she'd wrap it in an ace bandage and told me to try going to an orthopedist. The two minutes she took to wrap my knee was the extent of her coming within 5 feet of me! Wrapping my knee in an ace bandage was probably the worst thing for me because it only made the pain worse! I would have been better off taking my $75 co-pay and lighting it on fire instead of wasting my time here.

I really only needed to get a bad cold/cough checked out to make sure it wasn't turning into bronchitis (it's not, luckily) so it felt silly to wait so long for such a comparably minor ailment. Otherwise, it's fine and takes my insurance. This is my second visit and the only one that had such a ridiculously long wait time. Just wish staff were more communicative about how long it takes to see a doctor.
