The nurses were very friendly, patient, and urgent even though I did notice that they were very busy they did not let it get in the way of treating us like we were very special. On the other hand, the lady at the front desk with real short blonde hair was very kind - she was very unprofessional. She sat on FaceTime with someone the entire time, said a few cuss words. Everyone in the lobby could all hear her entire conversation. I think she was very outgoing and nice, other than that. Thank you EAST TN CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL for helping my family, once again.

Upon arrival the ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Although once we arrived into our room, it was absolutely filthy. The cabinets were covered in some sticky residue, the walls were also covered in nastiness including the one directly behind the table, and the table she was expected to sit on was covered in glitter. Thankfully I wiped down everything just incase my daughter were to touch it. After waiting for about 30 minutes we were told it was a viral infection without running any tests and told us "I will not be prescribing her any medications due to the fact i'm not her doctor". Needless to say this place needs to actually care about their patients instead of running through them like they don't exist. Start cleaning your rooms properly so viruses don't spread. Finally HAVE SOME EMPATHY AND STOP ASSUMING PEOPLE ARE DUMB. Honorable mention to the "doctor" also known as Mark McMullan, NP.

They ran a test for UTI on Day 1. They told me if it was negative they would order an ultrasound with Ft Loudon medical center. On Day 2 I called regarding my results. They advised case was closed because I didn't have a UTI. Well when were you going to tell me that. I then asked them to arrange for the ultrasound. After 3 days of pain I called Ft Loudon and asked about the order. they said the original order from Summit was incorrect and they sent it back for a redo on the day they received it. Summit had not returned it. They advised me to have Summit request a stat order to get the test done immediately. When I called Summit they advised they had sent it back that morning. So it took 4 days for them to re-send the incorrect order back to Ft Loudon. I was livid. Then some other person came on the line. she advised that my test couldn't be done by a stat order but said she didn't know why. I told her I now had no choice but to go to emergency because I couldn't wait another 4 days for treatment. I told them they were completely incompetent in handling this matter. She then told me I was free to find another provider and hung up on me. Bottom line, went to emergency and they did a CT scan instead of an ultrasound and advised me what the problem was. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT IN SUMMIT TELLICO VILLAGE.

First, I think Summit Med on Emory Rd deserves more than 1.5 stars. We've been here approx 20 yrs,…read moreand believe we receive above avg care. Time reqd for an appointment is very reasonable. Doctors & nurses know what they are doing, and if the problem is outside their range of expertise, they don't hesitate to refer you to a appropriate specialist. Summit Med has a very large patient load, and probably getting larger all the time. The practice of medicine is an extraordinarily complicated and intricate affair. Being a "senior citizen" I probably have more aches and pains than the average duck, but I'm just fine with the care I receive. I think my beef is with the AMA and our stick-in-the-mud Congress, the majority of them insist that socialized medicine equates to communism. Rubbish.

I'm glad these walk-in clinics are available because it is not always that your PCP can work one in their schedule, and not sick enough to go to the ER. Also, you get seen faster by an NP, and don't have to be around a lot of sick people in a doctor's office. Thank you Little Clinic!

I'm only giving this one star because it will not let me leave it with zero stars. The nurse…read morepractitioner there yesterday, Natalie, is by far the rudest healthcare provider I have ever spoke with. During my visit she complained the whole time about not having a secretary. She picked up her phone and walked out of the room while triaging me as well as spent a majority of the time looking at her phone. She said my blood pressure was "stroke level" it was 140/90. I will agree it was a little high but I was and still am in severe pain. 140/90 is not considered "stroke level", I know this because I also work in healthcare. During my visit she asked what I thought was wrong and I told her I felt like I had bronchitis. My chest was hurting and my lungs were and still are burning. I also mentioned I have had a cough and shortness of breath. I also told her my ears had been hurting. She goes yeah it sounds like it and wrote me a prescription for a proair inhaler and told to use it whenever my lungs hurt, she also prescribed telslan gel caps and states these normally don't work but I'm going to try you on them anyways and told me to pick up mucenix. I have had bronchitis every year for the past 5 years and never once have I not had a provider prescribe a zpak or an antibiotic.

Commercial drivers, All I will say is the law does not force dot medical examiners to demand an A1C…read morefrom a non-insulin treated diabetic regardless of what a urinalysis reveals. I was told at this clinic that it was law that I had to provide an a1c for the medical examiner. I knew that wasn't true so I wrote to the FMCSA for confirmation. They sent me an e-mail, I have it in writing, that there is no such law in place for non-insulin treated diabetics. I'm not concerned with unnecessary judgement calls made by medical examiners, I'm concerned with what the law says. I talked to several different doctors about demanding A1C from drivers who are like me and they all gave me a maximum A1C and they were all different numbers, one said 10:0, one said 9.5, one set 8.5, that tells me this is not a law, this is purely subjective and an unnecessary burden placed on drivers who take non-insulin medications. I've been a non-insulin treated diabetic 3 years, I've been to three different clinics, I've gotten a one year card every single year and was never asked for an a1c until this year, and again that is not a requirement according to law. I will post screenshots of the email I got from the FMCSA. For those of you who want to keep an eye on your A1C without going to a lab, I recommend the CVS A1C home test, I took one at home and said 7.4, went to the lab the next day, it said right on the money. Anywho I have a one-year card and so I will deal with this again next year I'll suppose. Anyway the next time I see some dude rock his truck back and forth while stepping out of it while also chugging a gallon of chocolate milk, I'll just ask him who his medical examiner is and get a load going that way next time my physical is due. Lesson learned.
