Generic place, but really good friendly care. My hubby and I went in together with similar symptoms...thought we had a head cold. Not! Covid! Low risk for we have had for over a week. But just could not kick. We were tested rated low risk. By the time we got out scripts were ready at CVS. We entered greeted showed ID insurance. My grandson and I are sick on vacation. We searched the best reviews and there was a clear choice, AFC Urgent Care Sevierville. I hate to admit it but I have Chronic White Coat Anxiety. As always my BP was quick to prove it... ...Although we were called back at the last minute of work hours, W. Porter,PA, was adamant that we left there with the best possible care. While on vacation, I had to make a sudden stop at AFC. I'm so thankful I did! I had eaten something that I apparently was allergic to and did not know. My throat began to swell, along with my tongue. I was terrified. This was the closest place for me to go. I was seen immediately, quickly examined, and treated. The PA I saw was extremely kind and reassuring, as I've never had an allergic reaction before. If you have urgent care needs, this is the spot to go to! read more

DO NOT GO here expecting an appointment to actually matter. I called AND went online ahead of time to book an afternoon appointment at the first time offered. I arrived and the woman at the front desk told me "appointments are only for COVID tests". It did not say this on the phone, nor online, nor on my email or text I received. Other things do still exist. Is this an Urgent Care or a COVID testing facility? She was so rude to me acting like it was my fault. 17 people were ahead of me she said. It took me almost a year to post this review but I definitely wanted to let everyone know that this location has the best staff!!! I would like to express my gratitude for treating my toddler when he was not feeling well while we were visiting my in-laws. My little one was sick for a couple of days before I decided he must be seen by a dr. He lost his voice, had fever and wasn't like his usual self. From the receptionist to the nurse, to the doctor, everyone was EXTREMELY pleasant and courteous!!! Maybe it's the southern thing (we live in Las Vegas..) but it was so refreshing to encounter that! There was no wait time and we were seen right away. My son was treated as a part of their family! Doctor played with him to make him feel comfortable and gave appropriate treatment. Visited here on a Friday and was in and out within 30 min! The front desk staff was lovely and so nice. The doctor was quick, listened to me explain what was going on without rushing me and I was able to get what I needed. This is probably the best experience I have ever had with an urgent care. I was out of town and had a side effect from a medication arise so I called back and was able to speak with the doctor no issue and get another prescription. They even called back to see how I was feeling. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! read more

Visiting Gatlinburg and found myself coming down with bronchitis so we visited this urgent care facility and I must say I am on the many that I've ever visited they were the best that we had found. We contacted them the night before they had everything ready when we arrive, they did the x-ray determined it was bronchitis gave me an anabiotic shot, organized to have A nebulizer machine sent to our motorcoach and we were out of there in less than an hour, including a chest x-ray they did an excellent job and I specifically told her manager and her manager what a good organization they were these are highly recommended read more

I'm sitting in a room at AFC Urgent Care as I write this. It's 12:57pm. I prescheduled a Covid19 test yesterday "to save time" and arrives at 11:03 for an 11:10 visit... but I was still an hour and a half even getting into the examination room. That's not all... after I had been here an hour sitting in the waiting room and possibly contagious, they called me to the desk for payment and charged my card $108 for am office visit. THEN realized I was here for Covid and had to void payment. At that time they asked me to wait in the car until they texted me "because of my fever". No one had mentioned that earlier and I had already been in the lobby for an hour! I was social distanced the whole time, but they didn't know that. Then when they finally sent me to a room, I was told to go to room #6. About a minute after I got in the room a woman came to the door, another patient, and said she was supposed to be in room #6. Both of our texts had the same room number. They moved her, since I was already here. I have finally, just received the test by a nurse and I'm awaiting results. I know that a fever sometimes makes one cranky, but this whole ordeal was a little bit much and I don't think it is the fever. They staff was kind but still... as was I, but... My recommendation: Go somewhere else!! read more

The staff is really friendly and I hate hate hate going to the doctor's I avoid it if there's any way humanly possible. I found doctor Shaefer here and he was wonderful. I don't know if They are good,, but even though there were three people in the lobby I've had to wait two hours and still have not been seen. Nice people, but find out how long it will take you to get seen before you commit. I seriously think you should get an estimate when you walk in. I had no idea there were seven people in the back who had not been seen, lobby looked empty. Grrrrr -- - so it's several days later and wanted to up-date that A representative contacted me ( sorry I can't remember his name or position) to speak with me. I must say, I am impressed with the contact. And I want to post a five star review for the female Doctor Who saw me. If she were in private practice I would go to her and encourage all my friends and family. So yes, initial interaction wasn't great, but Ultimately the most important part, that being the medical care was outstanding. Oh, It was really impressive because I thought I probably had Lyme disease ( 3 ticks and accompanying rashes) and symptoms, but the doctor reviewed me as a whole person, spent time with me and referred me back to my private physician regardless of how the test came back. One more thing-I don't know if it was a lab problem, or office again, but I went in on a Saturday and was told to expect results Monday or Tuesday, ---after a few days of calling, I think I got them on Friday. read more

This was the second time I had visited this clinic,and just like the first time,I was greeted very friendly with concern ,took just a few minutes and I was back to see the doctor .Nurse again asked questions and was outwardly concerned. Doctor came in a few minutes and discussed my syptoms and assured me he could help. Double checked my allergies and then discussed my concerns . The appointment was fine. However, we presented our insurance card and were told our copay was a certain amount. We paid it on the spot, figuring we were done. A month later we receive a bill for a much larger amount! The visit was covered by our ins but with a much higher copay. It would have been much more professional if they had given us the information in the first place. We had the card with us and they still listed it as BSBS of TN. You would think in an area known as a tourist destination they would be able to process other state's ins. read more

I was treated here about a week ago here with a kidney stone attack. I had just gotten into town and arrived at AFC Urgent Care about 20 minutes before they closed. From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted by friendly staff. Each and everyone was courteous and helpful. Hopefully I won't need them again but I will definitely use them if I do. read more

I took my daughter here one year ago and their billing department is some offshore office with incompetent staff who cannot process claims. I have spoke with the billing department multiple times for over a year and have basically walked them through the process of filing a claim. I left a message for the office manager to call me back to see if we can resolve this and she never called. I can't say anything bad about the doctors or the staff there but their billing department leaves much to be desired. Today I paid $145 the entire bill because I'm tired of them. I have insurance and shouldn't have to pay that. Get a biller or two in the office who can do the job. I would leave 0 stars if it was an option. read more

Great urgent care clinic. My youngest had a throat infection. We got in to see the doctor pretty quickly. The office staff, nurses, and doctor we're all great. Dr. Yount listened carefully to our child's medical history and was great with our boy. In fact, later when we went to a doctor he asked if we were going back to see the "Cookie doctor". I have never personally had to use this office, but I have brought my son twice (both times, after his regular pediatrician had closed for the day). The staff is super friendly, and both times the doctor on staff made sure we thoroughly understood his diagnosis.
