Very disappointing experience at CVS MinuteClinic. We were waiting as walk-ins when the nurse came out with what felt like a very negative and unprofessional attitude. She rolled her eyes, put her hands in her pockets, shook her head, and appeared to be saying something to another patient who was waiting inside. The interaction made us extremely uncomfortable, especially because my son was there to receive a shot. We ultimately decided to leave because we did not feel comfortable having someone who was displaying that kind of attitude and energy administer care to my son. It's a shame when people working in healthcare treat patients this way, especially when people are coming in because they genuinely need to be seen and cared for. You would think that after seeing so many negative reviews, there would be more attention given to these concerns and something would be done to improve the patient experience. I hope management takes these complaints seriously and addresses the way patients are being treated. read more

Why take up so much space for nothing? I arrived before opening... An employee came in AFTER opening time, went into the office and shut the door. Haven't seen him resurface in 30 minutes and I'm the only one here. No appointment but All I have is a question about if they still do a test I had taken here years prior, because it's not listed online as an option. The Minute Clinic experience was absolutely unacceptable. Do NOT make an appointment online -- it's a waste of time. You're far better off going directly through the pharmacy. I arrived 15 minutes early, checked in online twice to confirm I was waiting, yet no one ever came out. I could clearly hear the clinician in the exam room, but there were no other patients coming or going the for 30 minutes time. The clinician even exited the room to speak with CVS employees (door open no one else in the room) looked at me and went back into his exam room. To make matters worse, two hours later I received a text saying I didn't show up for my appointment -- completely false. Thankfully, the pharmacy staff stepped up and administered the vaccine for me, since I had no confidence in the inept technician from the Minute Clinic. When I called to lodge a complaint, I was told only to "call back tomorrow" to make sure I wasn't charged. No acknowledgment whatsoever of the poor service or accountability for the missed appointment. Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. read more

I walked in to see what the process looked like to get a TB test done and the NSM, Angie Lea- Wilson, was extremely rude. I was not sure if I had insurance and she made condescending comments about me not knowing. I should have looked at the reviews beforehand because people had already said she was not friendly. My experience with the doctors is 5/5. My experience with billing is 1/5. I make an appointment online, bring my insurance and ID and then I am automatically seen within 5 minutes of arriving. But be sure to arrive exactly on time or 15 minutes early to make it easier on yourself and the doctors. They are wonderful with providing urgent care, flu shots, physicals, and/or bloodwork, and it beats having to make an appointment at the doctors office and waiting for hours in a waiting room. The exam room is small, yet everything is very clean, well organized and well stocked. They even have an air purifier. When it comes to perscriptions, you can either get them at the pharmacy or you could have it sent to any one you wish. With the doctors: They are really nice, attentive, listen to your concerns and they actually have helped me whether it was getting the covid shot, and getting medical treatment. Last year, I fought an infection and based on the symptoms, they were able to conduct diagnostic tests and perscribe medication. I got better thanks to Dr. Anulika Chilaka, who was very sweet and attentive and helped me. Thank you so much. She's the best. I also went back later that year to get re-tested for COVID and it was done with rapid PCR which gave my results within 15 minutes. They even signed it and added the phone number to show my employer. I really appreciated that. Billing 1/5 - ok so from the covid visit. after insurance I was charged $187 which included the covid test and the doctors visit. I paid for this in October. Imagine my surprised when I found out I was getting billed again, for the same exact thing. I also got billed for another visit I made to the one in Orange County. I am furious. The attitude of the staff is horrible. CVS app instructs to walk in and not a single person on the board and they say they are done 3 hours before closing . I traveled from Santa Monica to this Minute Clinic for my annual Flu Shot because of the strong reputation it has for providing great service and I was not disappointed. I made an appointment for the Flu Shot on the CVS website and was seen on my appointment time. I highly recommend doing that as someone that showed up without an appointment I saw got one, but had to leave and come back 2 hours later. Make an appointment online! The reason I come to CVS for my Flu Shot and don't get it at the doctor's office or any pharmacy is that contrary to popular opinion not all Flu Vaccines are created equal! There are different formulations, strengths, and some will have preservatives in them that can harm you. I studied all this stuff a few years ago. Only CVS Minute Clinic (not the CVS pharmacies) carry FLUBLOK Preservative Free Egg Free Quad Single Shot refrigerated prefilled syringes made by Sanofi Pasteur--one of the finest Flu Vaccine companies. That is what I get every year and it sits well in me. Why does not every place dispense it? Because it's very expensive! $70.00 if you are paying cash. Doctors give you the cheap stuff because that is all the reimbursement they can get from insurance. But I have never had a health insurance company reject the claim from CVS and they pay it in full under preventative care--sometimes you have to push them on the phone though--but they will pay. You may have to deal with the insurance company's rep making sarcastic comments like, "What!, Joe's Flu Vaccine for $10.00 is not good enough for you...your body need the fancy $70.00 FLUBLOK before you go shopping at Fendi on Rodeo Drive..." But they will pay for it. And the nurse that treated me, I think her name was Diana, was so nice, that I almost wanted to make up a medical problem to see her again the next day. I was looking at the list of things CVS treats...Ah..I can tell her the next day I got a splinter...and the day after that..I need a TB test...and the day after that...I need a pregnancy test...Ummmm--that one may not work? read more

My father had an infection and he did not have insurance as he is from Europe. Doctor Rachel Wilson provided consultation and she was taking the time to talk and ask a lot of questions and she gave him the best medicine. Came to Minute Clinic a couple of time in the past by making an appointment. Those visits went well and the provider was professional and polite. Last month I needed care for a sinus infection and it was impossible to make an appointment through their system that only goes out three days. So I tried a walk-in. No way! After 1/2 hour the store manager came over and advise three waiting patients that the clinic was "closed today" because one of the two providers had quit so the clinic schedule is only open three days a week for the near future. read more

This is a long overdue review but due to recently getting some bloodwork back I needed to share my experience here. Dr. Anulika Chilaka is by far the best doctor I've ever had - and I truly will avoid my GP if I can, just to be able to go to her. I have been in and out for several health issues and every time Dr.Chilaka has attended to me, she does it with urgency and empathy. She has been someone that truly cared about my wellbeing even when I've left the office, making sure I check up regularly and providing me with all resources to take care of my health. She has gone above and beyond to make sure my health is in order, all the while being the best person to just be able to talk to about life. So I would give a 5, but I had a couple issues before and couldnt use this Clinic until recently (system issues) But bright side, when I went in due to a pretty bad ear ache, Doctor Anulika Chilaka, NP came in clutch to help me out and get me on my way to work without issue. Keep in mind, this is not the place for emergencies, but to be able to get in when you aren't feeling too hot (ear ache, cold, pain, etc.) I would recommend going. Tip: go earlier than later in the day if you can. I'm giving a four because I tried to do the "walk-in" but could not get help (went around 2pm). Still it's a solid spot for quick help. read more

I had to get a TB test for employment but my doctor would not see me. I searched around for the cheapest option and found that the MinuteClinic does them. I scheduled an appointment online for the next day. I arrived at the exact time for my appointment and walked to the back of the CVS. Dr. Anulika was ready for me and her office was clean and sterilized (you know COVID and all). She ran my insurance (which thankfully paid for it!), gave me the test, and scheduled my follow-up. I was literally in and out in 5 minutes. Dr. Anulika was so efficient, friendly, and on-time! I wish I could go here instead of my normal doctor. This incident occurred on Nov 22, 2020 @ 4pm-ish. My husband and I went to this Minute Clinic CVS for an egg-free flu shot. We were traumatized! The woman who is supposed to provide the service was extremely aggravating. I asked her whether egg-free flu shots were available and she said they were. She asked why I needed an egg-free flu shot and I responded, "because I was allergic to eggs". A very unpleasant experience ensued. She proceeded to interrogate me asking whether I ate eggs, breads or cookies to which I responded that I did not. She asked the same question again and my husband pitched in and responded again that I did not eats eggs or foods with eggs. When she proceeded to ask a third time, with her tone rising, we walked away. I felt assaulted and provoked by her attitude, tone and words and did not want to engage any more with such an unpleasant human being. At this point, even if she had offered to provide the flu shot, I would have not taken it. In my opinion, a health professional should care and be kind always, notwithstanding personal issues. If there is some requirement to show proof of egg allergy she could professionally ask for it and kindly inform potential clients of the requirements or limitations. In any case, this experience left such a bad taste, we reported it to the manager and left the store. We will not be returning to this store. read more

The NP Quehn Nguyen was very thorough with the care for my son. I needed a form filled out and she made multiple calls and even called my sons school with me to be sure it was done correctly. 4 stars becase the wait times are completely inaccurate (its a screen that displays who is next and their wait times) at one point it displayed a patient had over two hours to wait and they were seen within 30 mins. If they had left and come back in two hours they likely would have had to start the process over. read more

I was directed to this cvs minute clinic by our regular cvs pharmacy to get insurance (hmo) covered flu shots for our entire family although we did not need any other services beyond the flu shot administration. When at the minute clinic we waited 30-45 for the NP to get our info, copy and process our insurance info. We were told the flu shot would be covered by our insurance by both our home cvs pharmacy and the minute clinic NP. But months later we got a bill for the full cost of flu shot/administration. I called the minute clinic billing department and they claimed there was nothing they could do. They suggested I call my insurance to cover the claim as it was determined to be out of network. They took no responsibility whatsoever. Beware, The minute clinic is not a urgent care! If I had not been assured by cvs Of insurance coverage I would have never have used the minute clinic.
