Told me ahead of time they were still waiting to be put on our insurance co's provider list, but said we could self-pay. Thirty minutes and $80'ish later, we were walking back out the door after having seen the provider. Didn't feel rushed through like cattle and Dad was feeling much better the following day due to the RX provided. Only issue was one of the RX given the ins didn't want to cover. I prob could have called the office back and asked for an alternative, but instead just got a partial fill. So 4.5 stars, and that rounds to 5. Just please, for the love of all, keep enough providers and staff on hand to ensure your wait time stays reasonable. Area doesn't need another shoddy and understaffed urgent care!

I wasn't sure if she was calling out for me to come back but she stood behind the door and called my name mispronounced it and gave me hella attitude when I came up asking if it was me or not her response was "your the only one sitting out there" but she never came around the corner or nothing. She put up an argument and didn't apologize. It wasn't the point of mispronouncing the name it was the way she went about it, very unprofessional. She honestly doesn't need to be working there as a nurse and dealing with people who don't feel well. We are a military family and it was just a terrible encounter. Her Name is Gabriella (Gabby)

The Deets: In a lot of pain with a red swollen foot, I had to stop into UNC Urgent Care at Park West Village near me in Morrisville to get it checked out. This urgent care ticked all the boxes...convenient, little to no wait, easy check-in procedure, and friendly/helpful staff. For what I considered pretty fast for an urgent care type visit, I was back working with their health staff as they gathered history, performing vitals, and started the physical examination. The PA that helped me out was very patient, listened well, looked at and discussed my history as well as doing a thorough examination of my foot/leg. With differential diagnosis confirmed and prescriptions called into my local pharmacy, I was on my way and relief came soon after that. I was very happy with my visit to UNC Urgent Care at Park West Village.

The second time, and most recently, I walked in and noticed 3 people waiting. I tried signing into the kiosk but my record was not in the system. When I mentioned this to the receptionist, she abruptly told me to just wait. After 45 minutes, no one had moved from their line. I asked what's going on and was told that their computer was down. Instead of coming out and explaining this with an apology, she seemed irritated that I even raised this issue. Ms. Everett - I was told this is the manager's name - please be considerate of patients and take some steps to properly train your staff. A simple explanation with an apology can go a long way for most patients who are asked to wait for an extended period of time. The dark-haired woman whom I spoke with should not be in a patient-facing role without significant training on empathy, compassion, and simple customer service.

Dr. Brannon's research, which is well documented in his books, is indisputable. Two weeks after my first pellet placement in October 2020, my physical and emotional health, and my quality of life improved significantly and dramatically. I was depressed, sad, moody, fatigued and riddled with body aches and pains. Pellets address every single awful malady that I was experiencing. The office is conveniently located with easy parking and great hours. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I recommend Optimal Bio without reservation. You owe it to yourself to feel your best and to enjoy your life! I'm 71 years old.

Looks like 2 pellets were placed just below the skin. One broke almost immediately and was partly removed by staff. However an open wound persisted and another pellet popped out. The wound tract has not closed and has been open and discharging on my glute for over 5 weeks. I have not been able to exercise and have lost muscle and endurance due to the inactivity. Optimal Bio has done little to rectify the situation. I am still wearing gauze on the wound to catch discharge and hopefully keep it from getting infected. I am quite dissatisfied with the level of care and may just go to my primary care to address before it gets infected . When Dr Brannon was alive I don't think this would have happened but since he passed I feel like this complication due to a botched placement is just kind of ignored. It really makes me question whether the pellets are still the way to go
