Horrible! Would never come here again. Would rather use AI to diagnosis myself at home. I was having stomach pains with a rash on my stomach as well as sinus issues, tightness in throat, cough, etc.. and the physician did not examine me at ALL! Never examined my rash or felt around my stomach to figure out where exactly the pain was coming from. We did agree to do blood work, but she would not let me know which blood tests she wanted to order and the cost for each. She just wanted me to show up and have blood vials taken--could be 1-5 vials. Who knows! I said this was not acceptable and that I wanted to know what tests were going to be performed and the cost. They said they could only tell that to me the morning of the blood draw. I said, nope...I would like to know ahead of time so I have time to research each test and decide which ones make sense to me. They finally agreed they would call me in a few days with this information. They NEVER did!! They called, but it was to schedule my follow-up appointment for a few months from then. They also ordered some kind of sleep test for me without my approval, which of course I would then have to pay out-of-pocket. I immediately cancelled the sleep test with the company. This is a money-making racket! They clearly don't care about patient care and cost to the patient. I will NEVER return!! I LOVE this practice! They give incredible time and attention and make me feel cared about when I'm feeling my worst! I recently had bronchitis and Beth's expertise had me back on track and feeling better within 24 hours. They have a procedure room where I was able to nap and get IV fluids. I would NOT recommend this office! They have terrible customer service and NEVER call back. I have had several issues with prescriptions and trying to get a refill. I have spoken with the office manager on two occasions and she apologized and said their office strives to return calls. After my phone calls with the office manager, I had a 3rd issue with a prescription and left a message for the NP (Beth) to call me back as the prescription was a lower dose than what we discussed. Again, no call back. I will no longer be using this office. Very unprofessional! read more

I saw a PA at Heritage Primary Care (Rita) concerning a digestive problem I was having. She wanted to check me for allergies so she had me to come in for a Blood Draw. I went to the office for this blood draw and when I walked in as I always do said " How are you doing this morning" The woman never spoke to me. I sat down and rolled up my sleeves for her to decide which arm she wanted to draw from. She chose my left arm. When she started the blood draw she just shoved the needle in my arm and my blood poured out into the vile like I had never seen before. My arm immediately started hurting bad. I told her about my arm hurting bad and she said is it still hurting and I saw yes. She said it would be alright. SO I got up and left with my arm hurting bad. I went to front desk to check out and as I was standing there I told the girl that my arm was hurting really bad. She said I'm sorry. That's it. I left and was hoping it would stop hurting but it never did. I believe she hit the nerves in my arm or went through the nerve with her needle. Never felt this kind of pain with a blood draw before. I gave it my arm 4 days to get better and it never did so I called on that Thursday and told the front desk about my arm still hurting and that I wanted to come by on Friday if it is still hurting and have someone look at my arm that something was wrong. She told me ok. So on Friday before Lunch I went there and told the girl at the front desk about my arm and what happened and needed someone to just look at my arm and speak to me about it. So she gets up after a few minutes and goes to the back. She stays a few minutes and 2 people came in after me while she was still in the back. Then she returns and checks those 2 people in and she just sits there. One girl came to the front and semi whispered to her and she immediately looked over at me. The reception said it's this one right here and pointed at her screen. The girl she said this to looked at me. Then she left to go to the back. The reception sat there a few minutes and told me that I would need to leave and come back in 2 1/2 hrs. I told her no that I was there already and all I needed was for someone to look at my arm and tell me it was going to be better or not. The girl then asked me my date of birth. So I told her but told her that this shouldn't be an appointment for me and my insurance company to pay for. That this was done to me by someone there that draws blood. She goes to the back again and stays. When she returns she said someone would be out soon. The girl was obviously judging me with her mannerism and eyes. Like I was a bother. The girl dressed in black not sure if she was a tech or what. She said can we talk out here in the waiting room. I told her sure yes but, not sure you want your other patients to hear what I have to say or not. So she took me to just past the door and close the door (the door that all walk through to go to the back for their appt. So I stood there and told her what happened to me and that I need someone to know what happened and to make sure my arm was going to be ok. Someone walked through the door while I was talking to her. So she finally decided to go to a room and a girl came to the corner where we were at and told her she could use room # 3 I believe. So we go to that room and again I knew that I was part of a gossip section with the front desk girl telling them all about me. They all stared at me not smiling and not friendly. Inside the room the girl in black looked at my arm because I showed her my arm and was telling her about everything again. She looked at me and gave me reasons why drawing blood didn't seem to be a concern to them. She told me that anything can happen when drawing blood and I said yes especially when someone apparently didn't want to draw blood that day or was irritated or something by not speaking to me when I entered the room after asking " How she was doing that day" . I told her the way that lady pushed that needed by jabbing it in my arm that I guess so anything can happen and will apparently. Then the girl in black told me that the lady doesn't even work here she is from an Agent. I told her oh I didn't know that but, no less she was working for them and she had no business drawing blood. I told her how bad my arm was hurting and that I had given it from Monday to Friday to stop hurting before coming back since it didn't seem to matter the day I had my blood drawn when I spoke up about it. The girl in black wanted me to go out front and make an appt to be seen. That they needed my Insurance Information before I could be seen, I told her No that I shouldn't have to pay and my Insurance company either for something they did to me there. No Concern! read more

Goddess in regulating Women's hormones -!! A++ I visited with Dr. Beth Norton for a yearly physical after being forced into menopause due to a hysterectomy. My hormones were on a rollercoaster ride. Dr Beth was thorough and on point. She listens to every concern I have during each visit. I am so thankful for her knowledge. The best part is she defaults to vitamins before prescriptions-!!!! Dr Beth if you read this, Thank you a million times over. Not all Drs give the time and attention to womans hormones. I am so thankful for everything you have done for me. Was helpful on first couple visits, been back 8-10 more times and have not had a visit ive been happy with. They will rush you out as quick as they can, i had a doctor ask me who my primary care is after i had been to them 6 times in the past 2 months with records of the visits, obviously you all WERE my primary care. They simply do not care. Will not send labs, will not do the referrals they say they will, very lazy. Very unorganized and treat all of their patients like urgent care patients, the primary care part is a complete lie. They will try to milk you for your money and withhold information so you continue to come back. Would never recommend. Dont come here. read more

My 9 year old grandson and I we're visiting my sister when my grandson developed a fever, sore throat and a headache. we tested him for Covid and he was negative. Since Heritage Urgent care was literally across the street from my sisters home we took him there. They refused to see this sick child because his parent was not with him even though his mother was reachable by phone and sent me all his insurance information which I shared with them. I think they should change there name to " Heritage I Don't Care. The Duke Urgent care on Rogers Road saved the day by caring for him immediately. Save yourself some time and go there! read more

My 16 year old daughter went there for an urgent care appointment for fever that she had for a week and fatigue and dizziness. She nearly passed out prior to her visit. She is an established patient there as well. Beth Norton saw her. She diagnosed her with allergies and gave her a rx for flonase. However her blood pressure was 138/88. She had already seen a cardiologist for this but my daughter requested another referral for a second opinion. I was in the hospital at the time so my daughter called me on the phone and put me on speaker to speak with Beth myself because she refused to give her a referral or draw labs. Beth's response was "okay but this needs to be quick because this is an urgent care appointment ". So I asked her to please send the cardiology referral and draw some labs. As a nurse myself I know that certain labs can be off and cause some hypertension. Beth proceeded to tell me that she would not do any of that. She said my daughter was past due on her physical and that she would address those issues then. I then said to her that my daughter was sitting right there right now with these problems that needed to be addressed. She then became even more rude and told me "I am the provider, I have diagnosed and treated her for what she has now and that's it." So I told her my daughter will not see her for a physical because she would never return to that office. And I also told her that I was going to write this review as this was complete neglect to ignore a serious issue as the patient sits right there in front of you because it would take too long for her allotted urgent care appointment time. She said "okay, go ahead". Please see the other horrible reviews for this provider on Google and take note of her responses. She is an awful rude person that should absolutely not be practicing medicine. I went here on a Tuesday around 2PM in the afternoon. I took off of work a couple of hours early, hoping to get in before people got off work. I filled out all of my information, paid my balance, and waited patiently. At the time of walking in, only one other person was in the waiting room. When I finished my paperwork, the initial patient went back and another patient just walked in. The second person went back before me too. I still waited, as I was told my room was being cleaned. Within 40 minutes, 2 more people walked in way after me and were seen before me. Alexis was the manager on duty. It's my understanding that she is responsible for deciding the order for patients to receive care. If you have the ability to, please go somewhere else. My time was wasted. Just because the workers are okay with wasting time gossiping, doesn't mean others are ok with it. Save yourself the frustration. read more

This place is horrible - zero professionalism. Last year I had a full blood screening done and never received a call about my results. So I called 6 times and left messages for the woman in their lab section and she never called me back. When I finally received the chance to speak with her she flat out lied and said she called me back after each message - doesn't she know what caller ID is?! I checked my phone records which confirmed what I already knew - she never called me back. This past weekend I called in a refill from Walgreens and when I went to pick up my BP prescription, the pharmacy said that Heritage Primary Care denied the refill - but no one from the dr office bothered to call me and say "we need you to come in for an appointment ?!" Finally, the staff there are, most of them, not very polite or professional. I wouldn't take my goldfish to this place. read more

This is my primary and urgent care provider and I say beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are the best of the best. I can go in anytime within their awesome hours to he seen. I also trust their staff and am not afraid to see any of their group of doctors. The office is super clean, they offer coffee, water, cookies (on occasion.. ha), and are always friendly. Finally, I usually don't by have to wait long at all to be seen. Give then a shot and they will take care of you and your family. read more

I went here today for the first time. I called a few other places but the person answering the phones seemed SO ghetto that I refused to go there (lackluster customer service & no help at all). I walked into this place & was SO relieved I decided to choose this one. Really clean (actually pretty inside) urgent care with a staff that was incredibly friendly to this sweaty, sick mess of s girl. I was seen right away without any wait. Dr was super nice & nurse who gave me a shot in the ass was so good, I didn't feel it. I walked in sick as a dog & left with a plan to get well. Unfortunately, Heritage Urgent Care seems to be declining in terms of quality of care and overall professionalism. My children and I have been sick and treated at the facility over the past week, and I had problems with both children's prescriptions (not the fault of the pharmacy). One was not called in to the pharmacy, which caused me to wait nearly an hour for a prescription that should have been ready when I arrived. Another was not scripted correctly when sent, so we were not dispensed the full amount (nor did the prescription say the duration of the medication). And - as I write this - after sending my elderly parents to be seen for the same symptoms, they've been waiting nearly 45 minutes to be seen - and a walk-in who arrived *after* they completed their paperwork was taken back before them. No apology to them. I strongly advise you to consider another urgent care. We will not be returning, nor can I recommend this facility in the future. read more

Urgent care is conveniently located to my house and many pharmacy's, wait was not long for a Friday morning. Dr. Beth was very nice, as well as Ashley the nurse who assisted and took my chest X-rays. I agree with other comments about being expensive though, at first I was charged $70 when their website clearly states you pay your physician's visit co-pay, when I questioned the amount the receptionist asked what I normally paid at the physician and charged me that stating I would probably receive a bill in the mail (???) That seems odd, but overall the place was very cute, staff was attentive and it was very clean and well decorated. Great for kids!! read more

I loved Dr Kyle Grey. I brought my son this Saturday to check out his cough and cold. First when I got there they could find no record of my son ever been there before so we had to fill out the information all over again. Then they were out of flu test so didn't matter where the camera not they could do the flu test so they had to give his medicine prophylactically. Since they didn't have my sons medical records from the file we filled out. My husband picked up the medicine for us. I too have been sick and didn't notice till right now when my son said look at this medicine mom I'm not supposed to be taking this medicine it's Amoxacillin and I am allergic to it. I think this place is fantastic. I've always been treated quickly and have always liked the doctors and nurses I've seen. The same goes for my visits with my kids. I don't give 5 stars unless a company is over the top in more ways than one. 4 stars is excellent in my book and this company is excellent. We all have to understand that there is more going on behind the scenes than we know about. Companies have turn-over and people make mistakes. We can't judge the entire practice on one individual. If you are waiting on test results and the person that is supposed to call you quits or gets fired, it will likely slow everything down. If you're patient and kind and explain to the next person, in a polite manner, that you have a problem, they will usually help you. If you call screaming and you're being confrontational, you'll likely end up at the bottom of the list. I have a primary care other than this facility but this place is, by all means, a preferred provider. They have great hours, are always accommodating (within their means of course) and have never failed to take great care of me and my family. read more

I went in with a terrible cold. I was seen quickly. The doctor was so caring!! When I said "can I ask you one more question" she actually walked back in & sat down beside me!!! It was awesome to know she was taking the time to really listen to me!! As far as the review saying the music was very loud & staff was rude, I really think they must've reviewed the wrong place. I had a really bad experience here. I live close by and stopped in to set an appointment. I was surprised when I was seen right away. That should have been a warning sign, but I needed to see a medical professional right away. Unfortunately, this location only has PA's on site. They are limited in experience, training, and scope of work due to not being MD's or DO's. Of course they don't tell you this up front because they wouldn't have jobs. Anyway, I was strung on for 5 hrs and finally ended up at an Emergency Department to see a real physician. Save your time and money and go to real medical professionals. read more

Wont refill my prescription because she has not seen me in a year. I mentioned I can't afford to see a physician because I don't have insurance. The medication is to treat chronic pain which was prescribed at a pain treatment facility. She knows that I have to take the medication until I die. Also the medication is not considered dangerous and does not make you depend on it. Thank You Blair and Heritage Urgent Primary Care in Wake Forest for the weeks/month of pain until I have insurance/job. They also have a hard time following up with any inquiries!!! read more

The staff at Heritage have been extremely helpful and thorough in every way in helping my elderly mom. They did all the paperwork in advance of our first visit so she didn't have to wait. Blair, the PA, was patient and kind. Yesterday I called to see about an insurance form I needed filled out and they asked me to fax it to them. Urgent care is ok. Primary care needs improvement. Called many times and cvs faxed for prior auth. Called and gave number to approve immediately that wasn't done I was told that "we got busy and I submitted it and we should hear back next week sometime. I went this past Saturday just after they opened .The wait took a while, but it was understandable , because EMS was called for an elderly patient with chest pains. The lady at the front desk was great. She asked if I wanted something to drink . Very nice!! The employee who took my blood pressure was great as well. I was seen by Ashley and she was great. She has a great disposition . I do not really have a primary physician, so this will be my place to go to. I had symptoms of a stomach virus and it is Monday and I feel so much better. Thanks!! Honestly, the best urgent care experience I've ever had. My daughter sprained her ankle at school and we went to FastMed, which is an underwhelming but convenient experience. Their X-ray machine was down and I was at a loss not wanting to go to the ER with what I knew wasn't a broken bone. Heritage Urgent and Primary Care was our choice. From the moment we arrived we were cared for promptly and efficiently. The staff is wonderful. They are also contracted as primary care so our Urgent Care co-pay of $50 actually was only $30. We were there, X-ray included, less than an hour. Great experience in light of my kid tumbling down a flight of stairs. Hope we don't have to come back, but this is my 1st choice in WF. read more

Been going there for about a year for sick visits and recently took my son for his yearly physical and was turned away when I got there because we owed money and I couldn't pay it on the spot! furthermore, they claimed they have been sending me bills that were being returned yet never picked up the phone or mentioned anything when I called to make the appointment. The treatment here as went down. I have been going here for a few years and have now considered changing. I like that they have an urgent care and I will still use it for that. However, their primary care is poor. I won't give my full name as I will be disclosing my medical issues. I went for treatment for vaginal discharge and burning. They don't do all testing on site. I tested negative for bacteria. I was told test results for other STD's and yeast would come back in a couple of days and they would call me. They prescribed a yeast medicine. They didn't call me back in a couple of days, I had to call them. I was negative for STD's and was told another test hadn't came back yet and they would call me when it did. I ask for something because the medicine wasn't working and I was still having problems. They told me to make an appointment to get checked again. I said no because they could have prescribed something when I was there a couple days earlier. They did prescribed something finally. I still had to call back the following week to get the results of the final test. As the doctor was taking a look at my private area, a nurse comes in. The problem was there is no curtain to shield you from the outside. So anyone walking by could have seen me. They need to install curtains. Yes I have told them. read more

The music is VERY loud, inappropriate (contains profanity), the front desk is singing along with the music, and one of the front desk ladies is extremely rude and talks to people like they are idiots. I was disappointed in the Physician Assistance behavior.She did not introduce herself. My daughter was diagnosis with acute pharyngitis with a negative Rapid strep test (RADT). In additiion, my daughter appeared just complained of a sore throat. The PA enter the room and had my daughter's temperature incorrectly stated and she proceeded that while my daughter tested negative for strep, the test can have a false negatives and she recommends antibiotics (abx). Moreover, she suggested that no culture was indicated because she was going order abx and that should cover the infection. She also order my daughter the highest dose of Augmentin and is was order for once a twice a day for 10 days. She talked me out of a culture due to cost when cost was not an issue for me but the gold standard of care for my daughter. The use of backup culture is considered a standard approach in patients with Centor score 3 with negative RADT but in whom clinical suspicion for GAS is strongly noted. As providers we must be careful how we treat young people with abx to ensure we are treating the correct organism. read more

What a warm and friendly environment. When you walk in to HUC, you feel like you are at home and not in a normal dr.'s office. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. I was in and out of HUC and even had someone call the next day to follow up with me on how I was feeling; very sweet and thoughtful. Heritage Urgent Care in Wake Forest is beyond the best. read more
