I am going to start by saying, this GoHealth Urgent Care location at 10300 Louetta Rd is above the…read morerest of the Urgent Cares in the Memorial Herman System. I became ill and had already done a virtual visit with a Dr. at another location but after a week I wasn't getting any better. Going in for a visit I knew I didn't have insurance, worried about the cost, and knew it would be self-pay. Danielle was the NP that treated me on Monday. She did my vitals and found my oxygen, heartbeat and blood pressure were below normal rage. Danielle was concerned but you wouldn't have known it by her demeanor. She was honest with me about what was going on. She felt a chest x-ray would tell us more about what was going on with my lungs. I knew the chest x-ray would be an additional cost to what I had already paid. Danielle did a breathing treatment on me and left me with a cup of hot tea to think about what I wanted to do next. She returned and I had decided to do the chest x-ray. Danielle has the ability to be empathetic towards her patients and at that moment that was exactly what I needed. I left the clinic calmly and felt she had my best interest at heart and had given me the knowledge of what I needed to do to get better. Today she called to check on me, and I am doing better in 2 days than I had all last week and for that I am truly grateful to her and the staff.

I checked in online, and when I arrived, they took all of my information again. I had to wait over one hour. There was one person ahead of me, and only one APP working. She was nice. So, I spent about two hours for a visit that lasted 15 minutes ( or less). The kicker: my EPIC MyChart is linked to Memorial Hermann, and it shows my originally scheduled appointment, the one I made online and pre-checked in for, as a "NoShow". So every time I sign into MyChart for any other appointment, it shows one no show. Seriously?! Do Better

For all of the good past experiences, I will give 3 stars. Otherwise I would give 1 star based on the experience I had last night with my son. I brought him in because he'd been sick for a few days and suddenly he was complaining of a heavy chest and difficulty breathing. He's had pneumonia before so even though it was almost 9 pm I rushed him into urgent care to get looked at. It's always better to be safe than sorry, right? Immediately upon entry I tell the front desk woman (don't know her name but I sure wish I did) that I've got a sick kiddo and we are hoping it's not pneumonia but we're here to get checked. She very quickly tells me they don't have x ray machines. Hmm.. unfortunately I was there earlier in the week with my daughter due to a broken finger and they took x rays on site. I decide not to share this and instead tell her that the last time my son had pneumonia that the doctor was able to diagnose him without an x ray, so could that be done? She tells me it's gonna be 2 hour wait and we should go to the ER. I asked if anyone was even going to check my sons vitals? She's smiling at me like she helped me but all she did was give me attitude. She gave me everything she had to get me to walk back out the door. Wrong mom, wrong kid, wrong time. This was my second urgent care visit in less than a week and I was absolutely floored by the way she was not even interested in getting a nurse to check his vitals, especially for oxygen levels. At this time my son is visibly struggling to take breaths and a nurse comes flying around the corner and checks my sons vitals. While that's happening the front desk woman decides I can check him in. Then while I'm checking him in and he's getting his vitals, she says to me "oh by the way we can do x rays". So.. you're rude and incompetent? We were still seen within the hour and all the nurses and doctors who cared for my son were fantastic and we left with the care we actually needed. Thankfully not pneumonia but like I said, and all moms understand, I'd rather have a peace of mind and my son as comfortable as possible. Since this is a pediatric facility I suggest you find someone else to work the front desk. Someone who isn't going to turn away sick children. I still can't believe I had to basically fight this woman to just get someone to check on my son. Be better for our children.

I explained this to the doctor, but she spent less than a minute in the room, briefly glanced at my child, and recommended I apply Desitin for a skin irritation for 5 days. I asked for an antibiotic, but she refused to prescribe anything. Since that visit, my daughter's condition has worsened significantly--her skin irritation is now painful and clearly infected. I called the clinic back for help, and instead of offering any support or concern, they told me that because it had been more than 24 hours, I would have to pay another $175 for a follow-up visit. This experience was extremely disappointing. The lack of care and compassion, especially for a child, was unacceptable. Poor patient care and clearly money-driven practices. Please beware before trusting this clinic with your child's health.

The doctor or nurse practitioner - whatever she is - last name Weaver - came into the room and after I said hello she responded with "you have Covid" in a monotone voice. No warmth, compassion or kindness. She told me she was sending 2 prescriptions to my pharmacy. Didn't tell me what they were or how to use them. Then she told me she would be sending me an email of something - I couldn't understand her mumbling under the mask, but I never received it. Didn't offer remedies to help me feel better. No discharge instructions. Nothing. As if I didn't feel bad enough - physically and emotionally about having Covid, this woman made me feel pretty shitty. I can't recommend this place anymore. I certainly won't be returning. I'm giving them 1 star because the front desk people and the tech that took my vitals and administered my tests were all friendly.

They make you feel welcome which I think is nice as usually urgent care centers may come across a bit rude. I have also been able to put my PCP information and they are able to view what occurred on any visit outside of their care, and I really enjoy that because I may not firsthand know what the exact prescription, if provided one.
