I knew that I needed a specialist prosthodontist...a dentist that is board qualified in restorative dentistry...and I was prepared to travel to Pittsburgh or Cleveland if needed. After a bit of research, and upon the recommendation by a general dentist I know, I found that Dr Kubit is the only board qualified prosthodontist in the Erie region. After my first appointment I knew that I had found the dentist my teeth have been needing for the past 10 years. Over the past 12+ months Dr Kubit and her team have restored several of my teeth, some of which were very complicated. And her practice has hometown prices that are more than fair for the high quality care that she and her team provide. In fact the prices are less than my former primary care dentist. I am very thankful that I found Dr Kubit, and recommend her very highly!

TOPIC: Good Dentistry - Turned Cheap In Service…read more Dear current and future patients: Holly is incredible as a hygienist and is the primary reason I stay with the practice for a good 10-15 yrs now, at least. I had an annual cleaning and good bill of health (thanks to God), and Dr Ryan is always nice -- he talked about new Artificial Intelligence (AI) style imaging machines they'll be getting at some point which will scan and record measured changes of a patient's teeth and mouth over time. Sounds cool, I thought to myself. Then, Holly informs me upon leaving as I inquire about a toothbrush that the dentists and owners have made a company-wide decision to not provide toothbrushes or toothpaste to patients anymore. My gut reaction -- dentistry is among the only, if not the only medical related service that any medical insurance company under the sun will pay for in "preventative" treatment; ALL other insurance coverage is for "acute or chronic" treatment only. Yet, Dr Bob's practice now no longer chooses to provide items that foster preventative maintenance and hygiene that are customary of most dentistry practices anywhere. As this change settled in, my business brain, MBA and financial training acumen started to consider cost implications to a dentist practice with six locations deciding to weed out a cost that would only nominally effect a Balance Sheet or Income Statement compared to AI imaging equipment. In short, unless Dr Bob's dental practice chooses to reverse this change and contact me and other patients to explain further reasoning, their practice now appears to no longer be a family-style dentist practice. They have made the shift to a corporatism big-business medical model, penny pinch, and carry themselves as a robotic business to churn as much revenue as possible using costly AI technology that results in higher rates of billing to the insurance company payors -- which causes the medical insurance premiums of common folk to increase and directly contributes to inflationary trends in the marketplace. This further marginaizes families that cannot afford such rate hikes. The change makes Dr Bob's practice appear cheap and stingy. Fortunately, there is no shortage of good dentists in Buffalo and I will begin shopping for a new practice that is smaller and more personalized in patient care. If only the late, great, Dr Herb Simon was still around who retired from dentistry at the age of 90. He would call Dr. Bob's practice crazy.
