Dr. Altman is a very skilled and experienced dentist who takes the time to thoroughly diagnose the issue, put the plan of action in motion and fix it--painlessly. I have had this appt today with Dr. Altman scheduled for a long while. I've had a problematic tooth for years.. I've had a root canal on it, a crown, etc. with another dental practice. We weren't happy with that practice for many reasons, and Altman Dental was recommended to us by many families that we are friends with. He sees me and my husband and even my 9 year old! He LOVES Dr. Altman ( even more than his Pediatrician which says a lot!). I just came here to say that I always have a great experience with the front desk ladies, while I'm in the chair Dr. Altman is conversational and is humorous and informative and explains what's happening as he's doing it. Today the first step of my implant has started and I needed this tooth pulled. It was a great experience! I don't doubt that he will check on me later. If you are looking for a new practice, I highly recommend!!! I have even seen Dr. Gellert and he's wonderful too. So glad we switched years ago. I've been going to Altman Dental since late Spring/early Summer of 2018. After moving to the area from Rochester, finding a dentist was a major priority for me. An employee at work recommended Altman and it's been one of the best dental experiences I've had. I think I've seen every dentist and hygienist at some point and between them and the desk staff, I've never met a friendlier team. They really have a great way of making the whole experience easy and educational. They also pay attention to preventative care, always thinking 5 - 10 years ahead on how your current habits will affect you in the long run. So glad we found Altman Dental. One HUGE thing I love is that they are still a smaller practice. It was an absolute pet peeve of mine, going to dental groups that are spread out over several offices, use answering services to pick up their phones, and seem so cold. Like you're just a claim to them. Altman is friendly, welcoming, caring. They make sure you're okay with your plan, and with anything they are doing. Truly, I am not a fan of dental anything, but if I have to do it (and yes, we all have to!!!), then this is a great, friendly, caring practice. They text too, which I love!! read more

I have had a lot of work done on most of the 4 quadrants of my teeth. The staff always treat me with respect and explains how much my insurance likely covers before further work is done. Both Dr Muto and Dr Altman have the greatest bedside manner and have explained what could be going on with my complicated course. So far I am relieved that 1 of the 2 specialists that I have been referred to for ongoing problems has the scanning capabilities to find infection that has pestered me for months. read more

I am so happy to finally find a dentist that I trust. The entire staff is so warm and welcoming. Ive never had procedures explained to me so thoroughly. The new associate Dr Muto was so gentle and she's up to date with the most current procedures. I had a problem tooth for awhile, and she did the most thorough exam I have ever had. She came to the conclusion that my old crown was leaking and needed to be replaced. She was spot on! I am not comfortable with my new crown. I had a ton of questions and she was very patient with me. Dr. Altman's Office came highly recommended to me and I've been very happy with my experience there. I first went in an emergency situation and they fit me in a couple days after my first call. Dr. Muno and her assistant Sharon have since done a few necessary procedures on my teeth. They always explained what they were doing and why they are doing it while going through the x-rays they took at my initial appointment. They have always been friendly and the procedures have had minimal discomfort. I regret I don't remember the hygentist who did my first cleaning and exam, but she was very friendly as well. The rest of the staff has been nothing but friendly to me. They gave me the option to receive texts to confirm my appointments closer to the date and that works well for me. When I was a new patient, even though Dr. Altman wasn't my dentist he made a point to introduce himself and welcome me as a patient when he saw me. read more

I was referred to Altman Dental by a friend when I moved to Buffalo, and have been going there for 2 years now. I am satisfied with my experience there. I have had dental problems all my life, and was very concerned about finding a good dentist in the area, having seen only one dentist in my hometown all my life. I have been treated by both Dr. Altman and Dr. Muto, and both are great. They are friendly, professional, and so is their staff. I have also found that they are very good about not forcing unnecessary treatment on me, and always show me areas of concern on their tv screens before going ahead and doing any procedure. Dr. Altman was highly recommended by a customer of mine, someone who actually manufactures ceramic crowns, a ceramicist. So after seeing 4 other dentists for a problem crown, each offering a different opinion, I saw Dr. Altman. He was the only one who through much experience ascertained the true issue - the implant itself. I could tell he was very knowledgeable, not 'blowing smoke', and was very good at communicating the issue at hand. I only wish I had known about him before I had had previous work done. He was also very kind & patient. I could 'see' the smile in his eyes even though he was wearing PPE! I pressed him with many questions, scenarios, and he intelligently addressed each one. I have been going to Altman Dental for years. My sister recommended them to me and now my entire family goes there including my 88 year old mother. They are friendly and efficient and caring. Brandi is an excellent hygenist and a ray of sunshine. Even my 18 year old son looks forward to his visits. Melanie and Nikki (at the front desk) always great me by name and remember details about my family. I have never had an issue with insurance or billing as i have at other dental practices. The office is lovely and relaxing. They always make an extra effort to ensure I am comfortable--I have a smallish mouth and require smaller xrays and frequent breaks when I am having work done. There is generally a feeling of warmth in the office that i have never had with any other dental practice. I also like that they have later hours a couple of days a week so that I dont have to leave work early for appointments. read more
