One of my hearing aids was broken and was told by my audiologist that it couldn't be fixed and was too old to update the software. I couldn't use the app anymore too because they needed to be updated. They said I had to buy new ones for approximately $4000. Thought I'd get a second opinion with a location that accepts my new health coverage. Brian at BS Wisniewski was amazing. He not only fixed the broken one but updated the software in both too! Now I can use the app again. All for $150! All of the office staff were so nice too. It's reallly busy there because they are so good. Highly recommended! I'd give them more stars if I could.

HEAR Wisconsin's questionable billing practices: When my hearing aids were first ordered the bill failed to break down the cost of the hearing aids versus a hefty non-disclosed 'dispensing fee'. The latter was initially rejected by my insurance, and I had to pay it out of pocket while I, and HEAR Wisconsin, fought with my insurance company to get it covered as an in-network expense that *is* supposed to be covered. Second... Do you need any emergency support for an issue with your hearing aids? Perhaps an appointment to get them serviced? Well you can forget it. HEAR Wisconsin has no emergency appointments, will not let you schedule with an audiologist other than the one to which you are assigned, and don't give a cr*p about whether or not you're close to the end of your 'complimentary service period'. (That service period, BTW, is what you paid for with that hefty dispensing fee.) Finally... The response of a HEAR Wisconsin representative when I was experiencing a, possible technical, issue with my hearing aids was: "Well you can just drop them off and our technician will check them out. You'll get them back the following week. Here's the problem with that suggestion... How do I just drop them off? I'M VERY CLOSE TO DEAF WITHOUT MY HEARING AIDS! I can't communicate with people. I can't legally drive. What about being severely hearing-impaired do these bozos not understand? If, as I do, you use a particular brand of hearing aids (Oticon in my case) your options in and near MKE are very limited. And HEAR Wisconsin for all their advanced diagnostic techniques and trumpeted not-for-profit status is a lousy choice when you actually need assistance with the tech.

He explained everything to me in language I could understand and it turns out my hearing loss is a lot worse than I thought. I did go home with a free trial hearing aid and I cannot believe the difference it has made in my life! I can hear people so much better! Case in point is my granddaughter whom I always had to ask to speak up because it was so hard to hear her. On Thanksgiving she was drawing with her back to me and I asked her a question. We were referred to the office from friends, and have referred many more over the years. I have never heard anyone feel anything but pleased with their services.
