We met the restaurant owner of Miracle Fry Conchfritters at an Autozone. The employees at Autozone were very rude and unwilling to replace a defective car battery that was under warranty. The owner of Miracle Fry stood up for us, and we ended up getting a replacement. He then graciously replaced our car battery himself. A few weeks later, we came to try out and support this amazing restaurant and business owner. And it was the best conch fritter we've ever tried. so flavorful and the perfect spice. People complain about the location because it is in the heart of Liberty City, but to me that is what gives it character. Miracle's is a Liberty City institution, going back to the early 70s from what I've been told. Locally famous for those flat, pancake style conch fritters. They are the originators of that style... and that's all I've ever ordered. One day I'll venture off the fritter path to try the rest of the menu which I've heard can be really really tasty but the fritters are where it's at, and the ultimate reason to pay them a visit. I'm not too happy now that a single conch fritter's price has now risen to $2, but with the ever rising prices of conch, they have to do what they have to do I guess... If you're not from the Liberty City area, find some time to "check out the avenue" and savor a slice of what's been keeping the locality fed for generations.
