However, when I entered the massage studio I knew I would have a great experience. The reception area is small but inviting and the receptionist was friendly but not overbearing. The massage therapist (Hope) took the time to ask me what my concerns and pains were and based her massage on those areas and concerns. It was refreshing to have a personalized experience rather than a standard massage. She kept asking whether the level of pressure was OK (I was getting deep tissue) and kept other chatter to a minimum. I left the studio feeling refreshed and free of pain. It would have been worth $100 but Melody's has incredibly affordable prices and I only paid $40.

I called to see if I could get a massage on a Saturday afternoon. Oh, it was Saturday and late in the afternoon. So no luck. But Christina called me back later that day and offered to open her shop on Sunday, before I headed back to Ohio. The massage center is very nicely remodeled. I learned that Christina and her husband, who came along to inspect some construction, are remodeling the 1st floor to provide yoga. The massage was excellent. Christina was able to locate and isolate those muscles on my back that were causing my neck and shoulder issues and work them to release their stiffness. I'm getting older and starting to feel all those younger year rugby and running injuries. Christina really did a great job and I felt great afterwards. I highly recommend Christina if you need massage therapy for any of your sport injuries, or everyday aches and pains. I will definitely be heading back when I am in the area to include Christina's massage therapy in my get healthy regimen.

I called on a Saturday morning and she told me I could come in right away. I opted for a noon appointment and she had that open as well. I went for a 60 minute massage. Let me tell you, it was far more than a massage. It was body work. She rubbed the knots and tension out of my arms, neck, shoulders, back, and legs. I told her my hamstring was bothering me and she rubbed the knots out of my muscles. I can't say this massage was relaxing and enjoyable. It actually hurt, HOWEVER, I really needed someone to get in there and massage the knots out, which she certainly did. The experience itself is no frills- this is not a typical spa experience if that is what you are used to. But I am a fan because I can tell I'm going to feel so much better once the soreness wears off. And for $60 (plus tip) for one hour of service.. it can't be beat!
