I…read morehadn't taken a yoga class in at least a year when I tried Michelle's Saturday morning vinyasa class a couple of months ago, and I was a little afraid that it was going to wreck me. Because she modifies the class for all levels and pays close attention to the needs of her students, the class was perfect for me. It actually inspired me to return to my practice of yoga. I've now attended classes with a couple different instructors, and have been pleased with all of their different styles. The common thread between the instructors at Sacred Soul seems to be a calming, almost zen temperament, which I greatly appreciate. For me, the most important aspect of the practice is the sense of peace and acceptance I feel during class, as well as afterwards. I attended the Yoga Nidra class last Sunday, and it was absolutely amazing. I suffer from an especially acute monkey mind, and the Yoga Nidra class at Sacred Soul may be the best nidra class I have ever attended in my life.

I would not go there with a specific book or item in mind because they're unlikely to have it on hand, but it's a great little shop to peruse and/or pick up a gift for someone. I did not find the mother/daughter bible study I was looking for, but I did walk out with a Spanish children's bible and a high quality adult coloring book for my kids. If you do need something specific, the owner told me she can place special orders. She also recovers bibles, in case you have one in need of repair. It's hard to know exactly how a shop like this can survive in a world with Amazon, but I'm glad to see it and happy to support it. The owner is very friendly and I imagine this draws in the repeat customers. I know I'll be back!

I was a bit skeptic of tarot card readings because I had had them done several times before, in…read moreperson and over the phone, but I was always felt like my readings were generic and when none of the things I was told were going to happen happened, I felt duped and disappointed. I had my first tarot reading from Chelsea around the beginning of this year (before she started her business, This Woo Woo Stuff) and it was so insightful and spot on that I've had 3 more readings with her since then. I was nervous about my first reading with her but her calm and soothing energy put me at ease right away. She is always able to tell me things about my current situation without me telling her anything about them at all; she actually prefers I don't, so when she pulls my cards and tells me what she sees, I'm genuinely blown away. Chelsea is patient. She's always happy to answer my questions and explain things to me in a way that makes sense so I can understand them, whereas the other card readers I had been to before seemed more interested in watching the clock and would give me general explanations that left me more confused than I was before I asked. Don't be deterred by the fact that This Woo Woo Stuff is a new business.
